Yes, yes, yes. I had an abandoned fic idea of a Glee-themed W/T fic and this was one of the songs on my list.

...and I gotta say, I love Joss a little bit for throwing in that queer music reference.

DarkWiccan wrote:This is also HUGE. As a fic writer referring to canon it always seemed like the writer's had kept W/T separate from (not necessarily aloof, but definitely not part of) the larger gay culture. I think the dialogue from Willow's "date" (ugh) with "she who must not be named" (blech, yuck) in "the season we do not speak of" (facepalm) served to underline this.
But you're brilliant discovery of this little Easter egg in one of the greatest episodes of the series, written by the series creator, is the equivalent of an end-zone ball-spike of victory (only the ball is a disco ball being spiked by RuPaul in a flowing, rainbow-colored, chiffon dress hollering, "Rainbows Reign!").

So this is "Changing My Major" from the musical Fun Home. If you're not already familiar, it's a terrific little show and it won the Tony for Best Musical two years ago.
