Willow's Journal

Postby alyamber4ever » Sun Jun 09, 2002 3:58 pm

This is my first time posting a NEW TOPIC so, please be gentle :grin

Ok, remember in the episode....."Forever" when Willow is writing in her journal?? (It's also the "Sassy Eggs" episode) ;)

Anyhoo, do you think that Willow still writes in her journal?? Or not so much anymore?

Just curious....:)

I'm sure after the events of the end of Season 6, she uses a yellow crayon to scrawl her thoughts across the walls of her cell...

But Ruth everyone knows she breaks YELLOW CRAYONS. And then she cries. So maybe now she uses a black crayon to match her former look. As well as her general outlook on life.

I think she uses a system of multi colored crayons to write in her journal with... of course the yellow one is broken. The black one she lost at Racks place when she got it all over her face.

Officially, of course, I have to say that I have no idea what you're talking about.

I actually think Willow spends less time writing it and more time reading it. After all she wanted to write everything she did with Tara. I am sure now, she reads to remember .. refusing to let go of any tiny little detail of Tara and their love.

*sigh* down to every last bagel.

I watched Forever on FX the other day and it was incredibly painful to watch.

It's almost all painful to watch now. Even Family makes me sad. And how freaking wrong is that? Those bastards took Family from me.

Writing can work kinda therapeutic sometimes... Heck: fanfiction -> ok, that can be just plain fun too (with me it's a mix). Anyway, like Xita typed, either she will be reading it over and over again till the pages turn yellow (uch, I'm starting to hate that colour) or else, if it's way too painful right now, keep it somewhere safe till she's ready. Her "friends" might be worried she would be scribbling down new spells or something, trying to ressurect Tara, finding a way to get her back, whatever, if she can't accept it... Depressing really... I think I'm gonna read some more happy fic ;)

Okay, seriously now. I imagine Willow's journal to be meticulously organised, with little sections for different things; color coded, of course. And in there is probably a little spell section for ones she did on her own (successful or not) and ones she did with Tara (same success chart).

Dammit. Willow's so cute. Sorry, but she really is.

Story..

Postby drlloyd11 » Sun Jun 09, 2002 8:45 pm

The night after I had the first "Tara dies" confirmed in December I went home and wrote this horrible story of Willow mourning Tara, and burning page after page of her diary. Eachday, each movie, lovemaking, dinner, and using the ashs to make a potion...

She drinks it to "take her to tara"..and joins her on the other side..

Yes, agonizing, but therapy...

God I hate ME now..

Willow's journal

I think Willow's journal has probably been forgotten by Willow herself in an attempt to embrace the general lack of continuity of this show.

Next: Spike forgets he's a vampire, Anya has no memory of being a demon, Giles can't recall which European country he hails from and Dawn forgets to whine.

Well perhaps we could agitate for it to be published, hell if they can do a Star Trek poetry book why not Willows Journal? I would agree thats its impeccably organsed and far too painful for her to read again, I fear it may suffer the same fate as Dawn's diaries.

Willow: ...I have to tell you....

Tara: No, I understand you have to be with the
person you l-love

Willow: I am

caz, you're a pervert you say? Well aren't we all when it comes to willow? :drool

I personally think she would stow it away, keep it hidden from the world and read it later. I don't think she'll be up to it for a long while yet. Well, there's my two cents, hope they're not too jibberishy

Re: Willow's journal

I think she has Dawn bring her journal into her padded cell for her....as a theraputic measure.....at least that's what she convinced Dawn it was for.

Of course it doesn't just contain breakfast memories but..as suggested, lots of spells that she has done alone, and with Tara.

It also contains preliminary sketches for a personal set of Tarot cards.... (any one ever read the princes of Amber books..by Roger Zelazny??)

so...Willow. draws herself a tarot of Tara...and contacts her..in shadow.....Tara..holds out her hand..Willow takes it...steps through.....to be with Tara forever......the nurses on their next round...just find an empty padded cell and Willows journal on the floor...The last entry reads.....Thank You Dawn.

Ooh, Roger Zelazny so rules ! Love those Amber-books. It's been a while, though (years) and I still got some volumes to finish. I really should put it on my holiday book list (in my head).
