Do you have a quandary that is rattling about in your brain but you cant quite put your finger on the answer?
Don't feel like scrolling through a thousand Google results only to find opinions and quotes associated with the episode you're enquiring about?
What if there was a place you could ask a question and get a simple answer?

Welcome to the Willow and Tara Helpline.

If you are tossing and turning at night trying to spell out the mmmurfurgh report correctly or trying to work out which location they were in in that certain scene.
Could be you're writing fan fiction or you missed a detail in an episode and its niggling away at you, Ask your question here and Someone will respond with a simple straight forward answer.

With the Kittens collective Willow and Tara knowledge there shouldn't be anything we wouldn't have an answer for. (If there is we can share out the Googling duties)

Please remember to keep within the Board rules otherwise your question may be passed over.

Willow and Tara Helpline, how can we be of service for you today?

What is the name of the garment Tara is wearing?
Its not a bathrobe, Google says a night robe in the US is the same as a night dress. If its a dressing gown, its a classy one. Its a small detail but It will bug me if I name it wrong and I want to be as close as possible for imagery reasons but without spending a paragraph describing it because its not that important.

Thankyou for any help.

I would call it a silk robe or kimono-style robe.

What is Tara's accent?

In BtVS I only heard the standard American TV Californian sort of accent. It's like the American equivalent of most English characters on American TV have the posh voice no matter which part of the country they come from. The broad generalisation accent.
I understood Faith was more east coast, accent wise. Riley was kind of middle America way, But didn't think either was far from most of the regular characters own.
I don't really have an ear for accents unless its to a stereotypical intensity.
However in Slayers I'm definitely picking up southern twang/drawl (not sure which but certainty a southern identifier) on some words in Benson's performance.

Have I completely missed Tara being southern this whole time.

To be clear I'm asking about Tara's accent not Amber Benson's.

I'm not certain, so please take this with a grain of salt, but I believe it is strongly implied particularly with her father and brother that Tara's family may have southern origins. The accents on the men aren't strong, but I've always thought they sound slightly southern, like maybe Tara and her brother were born in the south and moved elsewhere during childhood. Like a diluted accent, if that's even a thing. But again, that's just my personal interpretation.

In Family, they talk of coming 'down' in the camper. Going by that I could imagine maybe Oregon or the Montona-Wyoming-Idaho area. Rural Washington, maybe. They don't seem like city slicker types.

Purely accent-wise, the Maclay family mostly speak in that standard way but Donny could definitely lean Southern especially when he's threatening to 'beat her down'. Mr. Maclay wants to appear educated but 'blood kin' feels very Southern, as does Beth's 'your dad's gonna pop' but without the accent.

The fact that Beth lives in the same town kinda gives a multi-generation vibe so I'm thinking southern grandparents that moved with their children, who then raised their children all in the same town.

As for Slayers, different universe, so anything is possible.

Sorry to be a pain about this but is it possible for these areas mentioned to be circled on a map? I'm taking in words and struggling to place in image form.

This is really helpful though, thankyou.

I've circled the areas mentioned by Laragh, its just the northwest corner of the country. I agree with her thoughts about where they're likely coming from - I could plausibly see some accent crossover with Wyoming and Idaho in particular.
