I went to Amber's book reading/signing last night in LA and got this awesome video of her reading a sex scene in her latest book "Serpent's Storm" pretty funny, as she kept lauging throughout the read.

Yeah, it was pretty funny. At times, i'd laugh but still tried to hold the camera steady. I loved the part where she' like "i'm an actress, I can do this..." something along those lines lol.

Houston, back in early March...only about 40 people total, so it was nice and cozy. She really is super. We got there early and my 11 yr old daughter stalked her in the back of the store, so Amber invited her to sit down and they chatted for 30-40 minutes until it was time to start. She even walked around with her and helped her pick out some books, lol.

This was my 3rd time meeting her, first time was back in 2004, I still have the polaroid of that haha. When I showed it to her two months ago, her reaction was "We were soooo young!!!" and even signed it with that statment lol.

Yeah, I had to hold in some laughter while filming this, was pretty funny. I've uploaded all the rest of the videos I had as well onto youtube.

Oh snap! That is freakin' awesome! I didn't know that, I just got home! I did see someone from Twitter re: Whedonverse post that video onto their webpage, it went from 300 views to over 1,000! haha, I even read someone was gonna order a book just for that particular scene lol.

Now i've seen quite a few people tweet it on twitter! I'm pretty glad I video taped this.

Did I mention I met Adam Busch last weekend as well - his band played a town over by mine and I actually met him at the bar, talked with him before/after Common Rotation's gig, and got an autograph and pic.

Life is good lol.

Edit* She even posted it on her blog as well: Patrick Rothfuss and I reading the naughty bits from my book, Serpent's Storm. All I have to say is that Patrick is the best sport ever!!! And his southern drawl is pretty spectacular, too!

Hi Willowtaralover. Whilst I cannot claim to know Amber well by any means, I ahve had the privilege of meeting her 3 times. I've said this on a few occasions but it bears repeating to set your mind at ease. Don't be nervous, Amber is a genuinely lovely and nice person to chat to. She honestly makes you feel like she came to that convention/signing to meet you, rather than the other way around. She makes you feel like your the special one by simply having genuine interest in you and what you ahve to say. So don't be nervous, enjoy meeting her.

Amber genuinely has a symbiotic vibe with her fans as she really puts everyone at ease with her smile, her laugh, her shining azure gaze, and a touch here, a hug there.

Seriously, if they somehow manage to kill her character in this episode, I am not watch anymore of her tv guest appearances. I am starting to get very jaded about seeing her on tv. At least she wasn't the patient in Grey's Anatomy or God knows what they would have done to her. Even on Private Practice, maybe she didn't die but, she got the crap kicked out of her.

The pilot was very shaky...That boat scene was the worst i've ever seen. However, the show has seen drastic improvement from that point on. I'm really digging it. The last episode had me on the edge of my seat...adding Amber to the cast, even if it is just for one episode, can only make the show more enjoyable.

True_Love Agreed. In a reply on her blog, right after Lenore's second appearance, I wrote soemthing similar, that I was tempted not to watch any shows with her in anymore. (I never saw her on _CSI:Cold Case_ but I wrote a in-my-opinion nifty little poem about Tara 's watchign the same episode.)
