Not to worry. Aly has a development deal with NBC that is for a 2-yr period, so if they cannot retool Americana, then they will try to find another vehicle. They are c ommited and invested in making a program with her- so it is only a matter of time.

I agree, I thought CC was great in all of her latest round of guest shots. "See Jane Date" was actually very entertaining. But I always wish the former actresses very well.

Had soem second thoughts here, and they go for both Americana and the CC pilot, which Ia lready raised on another board.

Given the set-ups for the shows, in each case the character of the ne'er-do-well younger brother would've ended up getting most of the laughs and eventually, given how audiences tend to react and how producers and writers tend to re-react, the brother would have become the focus of the show, billing regardless. So this might be good news; Aly in particular is talented enough to "get over" as a focus charcater in the right vehicle. As written _Americana_ stands a very good chance of not being it for her.

Right you are. It would be a waste to put Aly in as the lead and then shift attention away from her to the brother. She is the talent, absolutely.
