Well, dorksrcool, I
sort of agree with you. Here's what I mean--
1. To be sure, the
best stuff AH has done in terms of showing off the extraordinary range of her talent is the stuff that she has done for television. Her movies (with the notable exception of MSIAA

) have indeed been of the "low comedy" variety.
2. It is an absolute fact that I would
never have gone to see any of the "Pie" movies if AH had not been in them. The same is going to be true for "Date Move"--I will only see it because of her (I have never found any of the "Scary Movie" series to be terribly entertaining [although some of the parodies in no.3 were amusing]).
3. Many people (including AH's father

) have pointed out that however "low" these comedies may be, they have made her into a millionaire. Fine, I rejoice in this fact.

However, I don't think it is too much to hope that in the (hopefully near) future some perceptive director or casting agent will recall the spectacular breadth of her talent, and cast her in a big-budget "serious" drama or a "classy" comedy (Of course with this latter category we have a problem: practically no "classy" comedies that rely principally on
wit are made today! Where can we find comedies like "Bringing Up Baby", "The Philadelphia Story", "His Girl Friday", etc. etc. etc.????). I fear this will only happen when AH is perceived by the Hollywood establishment as being a "bankable" star that can "open" a film.
