vix84, i love powderfinger!!! but then, i'm from aus as well... anyway, i don't know if this has reached anywhere but australia, but David Franj's song Never be Amazing is awesome! download it if you haven't heard it cos you'll love it! it probably relates to what T/W were thinking before they got together, and just after

Never be Amazing

I'll never be the water,

I'll never be the wine,

I'll never be the last hand you hold before you, walk inside,

I'll never have the last dance,

and I'll never have the first,

I'll never even get to tell you baby, how good you look.

And I'll never be a face on your bedroom wall,

And I'll never be a lifeline you might call... me amazing

You might say, I'm amazing baby you say,

That I'm amazing too,

I'll never be the wise guy,

You'll never hear me joke,

I'll never get to beg at your window and tell you, I've just gone broke,

And I'll never know the winter, as I walk out your door,

I'll never make a fool out of myself to make you, wanna want me more,

I'll never be the water,

I'll never be the wine,

I'll never be the last face you see before you, say goodnight,

And I'll never be a face on your bedroom wall,

And I'll never be a lifeline you might call... me amazing

You might call, me amazing,

You might say, I'm amazing

baby you say,

That I'm amazing too,

Yes you say, that I'm amazing too...

This one is from Anthony Stewart Head's album, 'Music For Elevators' and funnily enough it is the song that Aly sang in. I see this as being set post-Grave as the thoughts Willow would've been thinking over in England.

"End game"

Look at me now

Never thought I'd be here

What was I thinking, what have I left undone, unspoken

Look at me, I feel a little helpless

- Like a beetle on its back -

Look at you

Looking down at me

Wasn't meant to happen like this

I need more time to set things right

Not ready to think these things in the middle of the night

Life seems never ending, until it's ending

Finite, sight unseen - we choose the path we walk

But is it meant to happen like this?

Do we need more time to set things right?

Are we ever prepared inside to say goodbye?

- Look at the beetle on its back -

Look at you now

I never thought I'd see you here

How did I outlive you

I couldn't see us apart, us broken

"The quality of your pain?" you said is deep inside your heart

It wasn't meant to happen like this

I need more time to set things right

Not ready to think these thoughts in the middle of the night

Is this right, that this really is the end

End game

It wasn't meant to happen like this

I need more time to set things right

And angels come in many guises to guide us

End game

Tara22 - You got the 'Music For Elevators' cd too, huh? Was it in store or did you have to order it? I ordered it, then waited MONTHS for it to come in! Well when I first got the cd I listened to number 7, "All The Fun Of The Fair", 'cause I loved the preview of it on the BBC site, however I did slowly listen to the rest, didn't love them all. But after a week they've grown on me. Absolutely love (to make it simple) number, 1,2,3,7,9,16! The 'hidden' part of 16 scared me to death though, I let the cd play through, at 3am, while on the board and he just came on with his deep breath and creepy voice :) ~

Anyway so on topic, uhh, okay why is it that there are so many songs out there that you can relate to what happened to W/T? Though it could be just me, if you gave me a song about ducks I could turn it around to be somehow about W/T...So..

One word for you Kristy, Borders! That book store rocks!!! It cost 42 bucks but I don't care! I got it right away!!!

I love em all! I aggree though love, 1,2,3,7,11,9,16

and the extra bit after 16 , (even though I knew about it) shocks me everytime :blush

I just forget it's there... :lol

James's voice is SO deep!!

Oh, yeah, me too! any song has to do with them for me, it's like a way of thinking, everything relates to them....

do you do that?

Tara22, yeah my copy cost $42 from Borders, compare that to the US price of practically nothing and see how bitter you get, but it still took a while to come in.

The last bit with the man talking, is it James Marsters? I thought it would be George Sarah!

Also another song which kind of fits W/T is 'Entre Dos Aguas' by Paco De Lucia. I wasn't able to find the lyrics on the net and it's not in the cd case, but does anyone else know this song? It's off one of the 'Cafe Del Mar' c.d. volumes. Beautiful song.

Kristy, yep! It's James, alright!

ouch about over seas buying... I'm just glad I didn't have to wait, I hate the wait....

Are you getting 'Once More With Feeling'? I have em all downloaded anyway so it's not so urgent, but should the oppurtunity arise, I would certainly jump at the chance to buy it...

'Entre Dos Aguas' ? never heard it... will listen to it though :D

Yeah I'll definately be ordering the 'Once More With Feeling' c.d. *eventually*, I have a burnt copy of it too (thanks to a wonderful Kitten!!) so I'm thinking Christmas or later possibly. I've heard the songs, I just want it 'officialised' and with the lyric/photo insert.

You know I try to keep these posts on topic but you just keep posting back and bleh there goes that :) It's definately peer pressure....So TOPIC NOW - Songs that remind us of W/T!! Anyone?

I like this one :D

I'll Always Be Right There

Michelle Branch

When you’re all alone

And you need a light

Someone to guide you

Through the night

Just remember

That I am here

To hold you close and dry your tears

Just when you thought you were falling

You know I’ll always be right there

When you’re all alone

And you need a friend

Someone to help you to the end

When you need someone to catch you when you fall

I’ll be there through it all

Oooooohhh

Just when you thought you were losing

But you know I’ll always be right there

And I’ll be there through the good times and the bad

And we’ll be there for each other

You’re the best friends I ever had

Just when you thought you were falling

You know I’ll always be right there

Whenever you need me I’ll always be right there

I’ll always be right there

Tara: Every time I... even when I'm at my worst, you
always make me feel special. How
do you do that?

Tara22 - You know the first thing I thought of when I read the lyrics to that Michelle Branch song? Ripoff of the Hanson song, "I WIll Come To You"...Is it sad that I hated them and yet still know the lyrics to that song well enough to think that? Eh.

About half the songs off the Michelle Branch album could be turned around to being about Willow and Tara though!!

Kirsty...lmao! I just re-read the lyrics to Michelle Branch and you're right, it does remind me of 'I Will Come to you'. *sigh* I just revealed that I'm just as sad as u, knowing the lyrics. OK you do realise we both have to head straight to the 'uncoolness Thursday' thread and add ourselves in?? Or...we can just *forget*

:lol Oh my dignity left long ago. Just to prove it, I'll post some of the Hanson lyrics so u can see the "rip-off".

So here's Michelle:

"When you’re all alone

And you need a light

Someone to guide you

Through the night

Just remember

That I am here

To hold you close and dry your tears

Just when you thought you were falling

You know I’ll always be right there"

and here's Hanson:

"When you have no light to guide you

And no one to walk to walk beside you

I will come to you,

Oh I will come to you.

...

Sometimes when all your dreams may have seen better days

And you don't know how or why, but you've lost your way

Have no fear when your tears are fallin'

I will hear your spirit callin'

And I swear I'll be there come what may."

OK when I start posting Hanson lyrics it's a sign that I should go to sleep. Definitely disturbing...

Ahh it's two of my favourie people, and you're awake and on the board! Stay like that! Vix you should feel that shame. Hanson LYRICS! *shakes head* :lol Though then again, like many things such as ohh I don't know ,'pride', dignity is over-rated...

I'm pretty sure the tune is completely different, but you know what while we're on the topic of Hanson that song would fit W/T as well *whispers* Oh dear God!

I totally aggree Kristy, pft! who needs pride and dignity? I have survived this long without em and look how I turned out! wait! no! actually don't!

*Groans* The Mammas and the Pappas, dear God why do you hate me!?! :) ~ However I haven't ever heard that particular song, so a quick search of lyrics.com and viola:

DREAM A LITTLE DREAM OF ME

Stars shining bright above you

Night breezes seem to whisper "I love you"

Birds singin' in the sycamore tree

Dream a little dream of me

Say nighty-night and kiss me

Just hold me tight and tell me you'll miss me

While I'm alone and blue as can be

Dream a little dream of me

Stars fading but I linger on dear

Still craving your kiss

I'm longing to linger till dawn dear

Just saying this

Sweet dreams till sunbeams find you

Sweet dreams that leave all worries behind you

But in your dreams whatever they be

Dream a little dream of me

Stars fading but I linger on dear

Still craving your kiss

I'm longing to linger till dawn dear

Just saying this

Sweet dreams till sunbeams find you

Sweet dreams that leave all worries far behind you

But in your dreams whatever they be

Dream a little dream of me

And yes I have to agree, very Willow/Tara, dreamy and sweet *sigh* You're not gonna cry, you're not gonna cry...*sigh*

Tara, but is the song now stuck in your head? I will not stop until it is!! *Mimics Gargamoil (sp?) from The Smurfs* Just imagine the other kittens who are sleeping right now, they will wake up to talk of Hanson, and then they too shall have it in their heads! We are so cruel doing that.

Vix, I just have a thing against the "typical" representatives of the sixties (Abba and the Beatles), it's all anyone thinks of! So many other great, BETTER singers/songs from then.

Meanwhile I'm running out of songs and will probably be banished to the 'Lurkers Island' thread very, very soon...

ok, I have been very very bad tonight with my off topicness so here is one of the thousand songs I can relate to Will & Tara

it's by Shedaisy

Still Holding Out For You

Never thought I'd be in this place

It's someone else's life I'm living

Wish i were living a lie

The hardest part is when the bough breaks

Falling down and then forgiving

You didn't kiss me good-bye

I'm choking on the words I didn't get to say

And pray I get the chance one day

(chorus)

I stil run, I sill swing open the door

I still think, you'll be there like before

Doesn't everybody know to never come around

Some thing's heart won't listen to

I'm still holding out for you

I can hear you smile in the dark

I can even feel your breathing

But daylight chases the ghosts

I see your coat and I fall apart

To those hints of you I'm clinging

Now's when I need them most

I should get up, dry my eyes and move ahead

At least that's what you would have said

(repeat chorus)

Bridge:

Faithfully, I trace your name while you sleep

It's the the only true comfort I feel

I still run, I stil swing open the door

I still think, you'll be there like before

(repeat chorus)

it's a really sad song, but I think it does relate to them :(

Tara: Every time I... even when I'm at my worst, you
always make me feel special. How
do you do that?
