One of the best songs ever...

IF (Bread)

If a picture paints a thousand words,

then why I can't paint you?

The words will never show the you I've some to know.

if a face could launce a thousand ships,

then where am I to go?

There's no one home but you, You're all that's left me too.

And when my love for life is running dry,

you come and pour yourself on me.

If a man could be two places at one time,

I'd be with you.

Tommorrow and today, beside you all the way.

If the world should stop revolving spinning slowly down to die,

I'd spend the end with you. And when the world was through,

Then one by one the stars would all go out,

and you and I would simply fly away

Awww... makes me so sad that Willow won't be with her baby anymore... :(

Not an exact match but...

She Sells Sanctuary - The Cult

Oh, the heads that turn

Make my back burn

And those heads that turn

Make my back, make my back burn

The sparkle in your eyes

Keeps me alive

And the sparkle in your eyes

Keeps me alive, keeps me alive

The world

And the world turns around

The world and the world, yeah

The world drags me down

Oh, the heads that turn

Make my back burn

And those heads that turn

Make my back, make my back burn, yeah

The fire in your eyes

Keeps me alive

And the fire in your eyes

Keeps me alive

I'm sure in her you'll find

The sanctuary

I'm sure in her you'll find

The sanctuary

And the world

The world turns around

And the world and the world

The world drags me down

And the world and the world and the world

The world turns around

And the world and the world and the world and the world

The world drags me down

Sanctuary

Sanctuary

Sanctuary

Sanctuary

Also, Flowers on the Wall by the Statler Brothers reminds me of Willow during the break-up:

I keep hearing you're concerned about my happiness

But all that thought you're giving me is conscience I guess

If I were walking in your shoes I wouldn't worry none

While you and your friends are worrying 'bout me, I'm having lots of fun

Counting flowers on the wall

That don't bother me at all

Playing solitaire till dawn

With a deck of 51

Smoking cigarettes and watching Captain Kangaroo

Now don't tell me I've nothing to do

...

It's good to see you I must go I know I look a fright

Anyway my eyes are not accustomed to this light

And my shoes are not accustomed to this hard concrete

So I must go back to my room and make my day complete

te he, i spend most of my time on the pens side of things so imagine how much a music freako like me was kicking himself at missing this thread :grin

I draw inspiration from music when i write my fics and these are just some of the lyrics which remind me

Branch Michelle - Spirit Room - All You Wanted lyrics:

I wanted to be like you

I wanted everything

So I tried to be like you

And I got swept away

I didn't know that it was so cold

And you needed someone

to show you the way

So I took your hand and we figured out

That when the tide comes

I'd take you away

If you want to

I can save you

I can take you away from here

So lonely inside

So busy out there

And all you wanted

was somebody who cares

I'm sinking slowly

So hurry hold me

Your hand is all I have to keep me hanging on

Please can you tell me

So I can finally see

Where you go when you're gone

If you want to

I can save you

I can take you away from here

So lonely inside

So busy out there

And all you wanted

was somebody who cares

All you wanted was somebody who cares

If you need me you know I'll be there

Oh, yeah

If you want to

I can save you

I can take you away from here

So lonely inside

So busy out there

And all you wanted

was somebody who cares

Please can you tell me

So I can finally see

Where you go when you're gone

Split Enz - True Colours - I Got You (N Finn) 3:30 lyrics:

I got you - that's all I want

I won't forget - that's a whole lot

I don't go out - not now that you're in

Sometimes we shout - but that's no problem

I don't know why sometimes I get frightened

You can see my eyes, you can tell that I'm not lyin'

Look at you - you're a pageant

You're everything - that I've imagined

Somethings wrong - I feel uneasy

You show me - tell me you're not teasin'

I don't know why sometimes I get frightened

You can see my eyes, you can tell that I'm not lyin'

I don't know why sometimes I get frightened

You can see my eyes, can you tell me you're not lyin'

Inxs - All - Never Tear Us Apart lyrics:

Don't ask me

What you know is true

Don't have to tell you

I love your precious heart

I

I was standing

You were there

Two worlds collided

And they could never tear us apart

We could live

For a thousand years

But if I hurt you

I'd make wine from your tears

I told you

That we could fly

'Cause we all have wings

But some of us don't know why

I

I was standing

You were there

Two worlds collided

And they could never ever tear us apart

Minogue Kylie - Fever - Love At First Sight lyrics:

Thought that I was going crazy

Just having one those days yeah

Didn't know what to do

Then there was you

And everything went from wrong to right

And the stars came out and filled up the sky

The music you were playing really blew my mind

It was love at first sight

'cause baby when I heard you

For the first time I knew

We were meant to be as one

Was tired of running out of luck

Thinking 'bout giving up yeah

Didn't know what to do

Then there was you

And everything went from wrong to right

And the stars came out and filled up the sky

The music you were playing really blew my mind

It was love at first sight

'cause baby when I heard you

For the first time

I knew we were meant to be as one

And everything went from wrong to right

And the stars came out and filled up the sky

The music you were playing really blew my mind

It was love at first sight

And for a post Tara death song, this one really chokes me up

Eddie Vedder - You've Got to Hide Your Love Away

Here I stand head in hand

Turn my face to the wall

If she's gone I can't go on

Feeling two foot small

Everywhere people stare

each and every day

I can see them laugh at me

And I hear them say

Hey you've got to hide your love away

Hey you've got to hide your love away

How can I even try?

I can never win

Hearing them, seeing them

In the state I'm in

How could she say to me

"Love will find a way?"

Gather round all you clowns

Let me hear you say

Hey you've got to hide your love away

Hey you've got to hide your love away

Okay thats just brushing the surface, there are so many wonderful songs out there that perfectly describe our two girls and its hard to pick but a few :)

Cheers

Nath

Isn't it funny how you feel your most tired five minutes before you have to get up.

Well, actually this is a song that reminds me more of Joss, ME and the whole writers from the Church of the Holy Plotline crowd, but nonetheless I think it fits in here.

Easy To Be Hard

How can people be so heartless

How can people be so cruel

Easy To Be Hard; Easy to be cold

Oh, how can people have no feelings

How can they ignore their friends

Easy to be proud; Easy to say no

And especially people who care about strangers

Who care about evil and social injustice

Do you only care about the bleeding crowd?

How about a needing friend?

I need a friend...

How can people be so heartless

You know I'm hung up on you

Easy to give in; Easy to help out

Oh, and especially people who care about strangers

Who care about evil and social injustice

Do you only care about the bleeding crowd?

How about a needing friend?

I need a friend...

How can people have no feelings

How can they ignore their friends

Easy to be hard; Easy to be cold

Easy to be proud;

Easy to say no.

I just heard this song for the first time yesterday and it was so beautiful that I just basically froze in the middle of what I'd been doing and listening to the words and music.

It made me think of my love, at first, but then I realized how it totally fits Willow and Tara too, with all their subtle shared looks and small touches.

remy zero-

shattered

grace in light

somehow i found you here

torn from the hope and fear

holds us inside

pull me out

out from the world i've known

and all love was broken cold

brought me here

from you one look

just one look and everything is shattered

from you one word

towers burn and fall, fall, fall

just be still

arms just surround like the sun

facing the life we've begun

it holds us inside

from you one look

just one look and everything is shattered

from you one word

towers burn and fall, fall, fall

from you one look

just one look and everything is shattered

from you one word

towers burn and fall and fall

fires curl

shadows surge

a hollow sound

that no one else can here

but me in silent streams

forever more we dream

The following song, by Jeff Buckley, really does it for me. One paragraph (I put it in bold) always makes me think of when Willow and Tara first got to know each other. How neither of them seem to realise how attractive they are, until the other brings it out. And the line "eyes locked in downcast love" reminds me of Tara in New Moon Rising. :heart

Jeff Buckley - Everybody Here Wants You

Twenty-nine pearls in your kiss

A singing smile

Coffee smell and lilac skin

Your flame in me

I’m only here for this moment

I know everybody here wants you

I know everybody here thinks they need you

I’ll be waiting right here just to show you

How our love will blow it all away

Hmm, such a thing of wonder in this crowd

I’m a stranger in this town

You’re free with me

And our eyes locked in downcast love

I sit here proud

Even now you’re undressed in your dreams with me

Oh, I’m only here for this moment

I know everybody here wants you

I know everybody here think they need you

I’ll be waiting right here just to show you

How our love will blow it all away

I know the tears we cried

Have dried on yesterday

The sea of fools has parted for us

There’s nothing in our way

My love

Don’t you see, don’t you see?

You’re just the torch to put the flame to all our guilt and shame

And I’ll rise like an ember in your name

I know I, I know I

I know everybody here wants you

I know everybody here thinks they need you

I’ll be waiting right here just to show you

Oh let me show you...

That love can rise, rise just like embers

Love can taste like the wine of the ages, oh babe,

And I know they all looks so good from a distance

But I tell you I’m the one

I know everybody here, well, thinks they need you

Think they need you

And I’ll be waiting right here just to show you.

love is here to stay.

the more I read the papers,

the less I comprehend

the world and all its capers

and how it all will end.

nothing seems to be lasting,

but that isn't our affair;

we've got something permanent -

I mean, in the way we care.

it's very clear

our love is here to stay

not for a year,

but ever and a day

the radio

and the telephone

and the movies that we know

may just be passing fancies and in time may go

but oh my dear

our love is here to stay

together we're going a long long way

in time the Rockies may crumble

Gibraltar may tumble

they're only made of clay

but

our love is here to stay

Forgive me if this has already been addressed. But i've been seraching everywhere for this song and i have no clue who it is or the name of it. I thought someone here might know.

Ok so here it is In Season 6 Episode 18 Entropy. At the very end when Willow and Tara kiss what is the song playing in the back ground and who sings it. If anyone can answer this I will be greatly indebted to you forever.

Thanks

As TrueXena said its the wonderful Alison Krauss. If you're wondering what album its on, you can find it on her album "Forget about it", which is brilliant.

From Tara to Willow: Anniversary Song, by Cowboy Junkies

Have you ever seen a sight as beautiful

as that of the rain-soaked purple

of the white birch in spring?

Have you ever felt more fresh or wonderful

than on a warm fall night

under a Mackerel sky,

the smell of grapes on the wind?

Well I have known all these things

and the joys that they can bring

And I'll share them all for a cup of coffee

and to wear your ring

Have you ever had the pleasure of watching

a quiet winter's snow slowly gathering

like simple moments adding up?

Have you ever satisfied a gut feeling

to follow a dry dirt road that's beckoning you

to the heart of a shimmering summer's day?

Well I have known all these things

and the joys that they can bring

And I'll share them all for a cup of coffee

and to wear your ring

And I don't know how I survived those days

before I held your hand

Well I never thought that I would be the one

to admit that the moon and the sun

shine so much more brighter when

seen through two pairs of eyes than

when seen through just one

Have you ever seen a sight as beautiful

as a face in a crowd of people

that lights up just for you?

Have you ever felt more fresh or wonderful

as when you wake

by the side of that boy or girl

who has pledged their love to you?

Well I have known all these things

and the joys that they can bring

And now every morning there's a cup of coffee

and I wear your ring

From Willow to Tara: Something More Besides You by Cowboy Junkies

One foot strands before the crib

the other by the casket

A question formed upon stilled lips

is passed on but never asked

I guess I believe that there's a point

to what we do

But I ask myself is there

something more besides you?

Two are born to cross

their paths, their lives, their hearts

If by chance one turns away

are they forever lost?

I guess I believe that there's a point

to what we do

But I ask myself is there

something more besides you?

This morning I awoke,

the bed warm where it once was cold

Small blessings laid upon us

Small mysteries slowly unfold

Yet I still wonder is there a point

to what we do?

'Cause I kind of doubt

that there is something more besides you

Although it's hard to find the point

to what we do,

do I dare believe that there is

something more besides you?

Now Jeff Buckley is a man filled with sorrow

Postby Kieli » Thu Sep 12, 2002 10:39 am

and this song, "Lover, You Should've Come Over" just tears me apart because it makes me think of W/T every time (I took some liberties with the actual lyrics, changing the gender):

Lover, you should've come over

Looking out the door i see the rain fall upon the funeral mourners

Parading in a wake of sad relations as their shoes fill up with water

And maybe i'm too young to keep good love from going wrong

But tonight you're on my mind so you never know

When i'm broken down and hungry for your love with no way to feed it

Where are you tonight, child you know how much i need it

Too young to hold on and too old to just break free and run

Sometimes a (wo)man gets carried away, when (s)he feels like (s)he should be having (her) fun

And much too blind to see the damage (s)he's done

Sometimes a (wo)man must awake to find that really, (s)he has no-one

So i'll wait for you... and i'll burn

Will I ever see your sweet return

Oh will I ever learn

Oh lover, you should've come over

'Cause it's not too late

Lonely is the room, the bed is made, the open window lets the rain in

Burning in the corner is the only one who dreams (s)he had you with h(er)

My body turns and yearns for a sleep that will never come

It's never over, my kingdom for a kiss upon her shoulder

It's never over, all my riches for her smiles when i slept so soft against her

It's never over, all my blood for the sweetness of her laughter

It's never over, she's the tear that hangs inside my soul forever

Well maybe i'm just too young

To keep good love from going wrong

Oh... lover, you should've come over

'Cause it's not too late

Well I feel too young to hold on

And i'm much too old to break free and run

Too deaf, dumb, and blind to see the damage i've done

Sweet lover, you should've come over

Oh, love well i'm waiting for you

Lover, you should've come over

'Cause it's not too late

Love is tricky. It is never mundane or daily. You can never get used to it. You have to walk with it, then let it walk with you. You can never balk. It moves you like the tide. It takes you out to sea then lays you on the beach again. Today's struggling pain is the foundation for a certain stride through the heavens. You can run from it but you can never say no. It includes everyone."--Amy Tan "The Hundred Secret Senses"

Re: Songs that remind us of W/T

Postby DigificWriter » Thu Sep 12, 2002 11:09 am

Here's a couple of songs that remind me of W/T.

Complicated by Carolyn Dawn Johnson

I'm so scared that the way that I feel,

Is written all over my face,

When you walk into the room I wanna find a hiding place,

We used to laugh, we used to hug,

The way that old friends do,

But now a smile and a touch of your hand,

Just make me come unglued,

It's such a contradiction, do I lie or tell the truth,

Is it fact or fiction the way I feel for you.

CHORUS:

It's so complicated, I'm so frustrated,

I wanna hold you close, I wanna push you away,

I wanna make you go, I wanna make you stay,

Should I say it, should I tell you how I feel,

Oh, I want you to know,

But then again I don't,

It's so complicated.

Just when I think I'm under control,

I think I finally got a grip,

Another friend tells me that,

My name is always on your lips,

They say I'm more than just a friend,

They say I must be blind,

Well I admit that I've seen you watch me,

From the corner of your eye,

Oh it's so confusing I wish you'd just confess,

But think of what I'd be losing,

If your answer wasn't yes.

REPEAT CHORUS

I hate it 'cause I've waited so long for someone like you,

Should I say it,

Should I tell you how I feel,

Oh I want you to know,

But then again I don't,

It's so complicated.

I Miss My Friend by Daryl Worley

Note: I've changed a few of the lyrics so that they better fit the W/T relation[/i]

I miss the look of surrender in your eyes

The way your soft blonde hair would fall

I miss the power of your kiss when we made love

Oh but baby most of all

I miss my friend.

The one my heart and soul confided in

The one I felt the safest with

The one who knew just what to say

To make me laugh again

And let the light back in

I miss my friend.

I miss the colors that you brought into my life

Your golden smile, those deep blue eyes

And I miss your gentle voice in lonely times like now

Saying it'll be alright

I miss my friend.

The one my heart and soul confided in

The one I felt the safest with

The one who knew just what to say

To make me laugh again

And let the light back in

I miss my friend.

I miss those times

I miss those nights

I even miss our silly fights

The making up

The morning talks

And those late afternoon walks

I miss my friend.

The one my heart and soul confided in

The one I felt the safest with

The one who knew just what to say

To make me laugh again

And let the light back in

I miss my friend.

I miss my friend.

I miss my friend.

I miss my friend...

Something Worth Leaving Behind by Leann Womack

Hey, Mona Lisa, who was Leonardo?

Was he Andy Warhol?

You were Marilyn Monroe?

Hey, Mozart, what kind of name is Amadeus?

It´s kinda like Elvis.

You gotta die to be famous.

I may not go down in history,

I just want someone to remember me.

I´ll probably never hold a brush that paints a masterpiece.

Probably never find a pen that writes a symphony.

But if I will love then I will find that I have touched another life,

And that´s something something worth leaving behind.

Hey, Midas, you say you have the magic touch.

That even all that shiny stuff,

Someday, is gonna turn to dust.

Hey, Jesus, it must have been some Sunday morning

In a blaze of glory:

We´re still tellin´ your story.

I may not go down in history,

I just want someone to remember me.

I´ll probably never dream a dream and watch it turn to gold.

I know I´ll never lose my life to save another soul.

But if I will love then I will find that I have touched another life,

And that´s something something worth leaving behind.

Instrumental break.

Hey, baby, see the future that we´re building.

Our love lives on in the lives of our children.

And that´s something;

Something worth leaving behind, yeah.

I thought of another song that reminds me of W/T. This one (like "I Miss My Friend") can apply to Willow's thoughts now that Tara's gone.

One More Day by Diamond Rio

Note: This song was inspired by Dale Earnhardt's death, but it's a perfect Willow-in-mourning s[/b]

Last night I had a crazy dream

A wish was granted just for me

It could be for anything

I didn't ask for money

Or a mansion in Malibu

I simply wished, for one more day with you

One more day

One more time

One more sunset, maybe I'd be satisfied

But then again

I know what it would do

Leave me wishing still, for one more day with you

First thing I'd do, is pray for time to crawl

Then I'd unplug the telephone

And keep the TV off

I'd hold you every second

Say a million I love you's

That's what I'd do, with one more day with you

Leave me wishing still, for one more day

Leave me wishing still, for one more day

Here's another song that reminds me of W/T:

No Place That Far as sung by Vince Gill and Sarah Evans

I can't imagine, any greater fear

Then waking up, without you here,

And though the sun, will still shine on,

My whole world, would all be gone,

But not for long,

If I had to run, if I had to crawl

If I had to swim a hundred rivers, just to climb a thousand walls,

Always know that I will find a way, to get to where you are,

There's no place that far

It wouldn't matter why we're apart,

Lonely minds or two stubborn hearts

Nothing short of God above

Could turn me away from your love

I need you that much

If I had to run, if I had to crawl

If I had to swim a hundred rivers, just to climb a thousand walls,

Always know that I will find a way, to get to where you are,

There's no place that far

If I had to run, if I had to crawl

If I had to swim a hundred rivers, just to climb a thousand walls,

Always know that I will find a way, to get to where you are,

There's no place that far

Baby there's no place that far

Death of a Friend

Postby PF9037Towie » Thu Sep 12, 2002 12:15 pm

I don't want to bum people out with this, but ever time I hear >John Wesley's - Death of a Friend< song, I think of the death of Tara. To me she was a very good friend. :(

Death of a Friend - John Wesley

The fog sets in and covers the sky

The brightness of the stars will disappear

With no means to reason why

I felt your presence as if you were here

I cover you with all that I am

I still can't see the sky

I still can't see the sky

Watch you fly away Little Blue Angel

Watch you race in the wind

Why do you fly from me Little Blue Angel

This is not a dream, this is...

The death of a friend

This is the death of a friend

Yes you were my friend

I will miss you my friend

Creep. I second that. :) According to Thom Yorke (who wrote he song), it tells the tale of a drunken student who tries to get attention of a woman he's attracted to; in the end, he lacks the self-confidence to pull it off (from www.greenplastic.com).

So here it is:

Creep (Radiohead)

When you were here before,

couldn't look you in the eye.

You're just like an angel,

your skin makes me cry.

You float like a feather,

in a beautiful world

I wish I was special,

you're so fucking special.

But I'm a creep, I'm a weirdo.

What the hell am I doing here?

I don't belong here.

I don't care if it hurts,

I want to have control.

I want a perfect body,

I want a perfect soul.

I want you to notice,

when I'm not around.

You're so fucking special,

I wish I was special.

But I'm a creep, I'm a weirdo.

What the hell am I doing here?.

I don't belong here

She's running out the door,

she's running,

she run, run, run, run, run.

Whatever makes you happy,

whatever you want.

You're so fucking special,

I wish I was special,

but I'm a creep, I'm a weirdo.

What the hell am I doing here?

I don't belong here,

I don't belong here.

DigFic writer, I love Something Worth Leaving Behind!! good suggestion

I don't know if this one has been said but 'Fly' by Celine Dion....

I was in tears...

Fly

Fly, fly little wing

Fly beyond imagining

The softest cloud, the whitest dove

Upon the wind of heaven's love

Past the planets and the stars

Leave this lonely world of ours

Escape the sorrow and the pain

And fly again

Fly, fly precious one

Your endless journey has begun

Take your gentle happiness

Far too beautiful for this

Cross over to the other shore

There is peace forevermore

But hold this mem'ry bittersweet

Until we meet

Fly, fly do not fear

Don't waste a breath, don't shed a tear

Your heart is pure, your soul is free

Be on your way, don't wait for me

Above the universe you'll climb

On beyond the hands of time

The moon will rise, the sun will set

But I won't forget

Fly, fly little wing

Fly where only angels sing

Fly away, the time is right

Go now, find the light

Hi. I'm back with some more songs that remind me of W/T.

When You Say Nothing At All by Alison Krauss

It's amazing how you can speak right to my heart

Without saying a word, you can light up the dark

Try as I may I could never explain

What I hear when you don't say a thing

The smile on your face lets me know that you need me

There's a truth in your eyes saying you'll never leave me

The touch of your hand says you'll catch me if ever I fall

You say it best.. When you say nothing at all

All day long I can hear people talking out loud

But when you hold me near, you drown out the crowd

Old Mr.Webster could never define

What's being said between your heart and mine

The smile on your face lets me know that you need me

There's a truth in your eyes saying you'll never leave me

The touch of your hand says you'll catch me if ever I fall

You say it best.. When you say nothing at all

The smile on your face lets me know that you need me

There's a truth in your eyes saying you'll never leave me

The touch of your hand says you'll catch me if ever I fall

You say it best.. When you say nothing at all...

The smile on your face lets me know that you need me

There's a truth in your eyes saying you'll never leave me

The touch of your hand says you'll catch me if ever I fall

You say it best.. When you say nothing at all...

Love Can Build A Bridge by The Judds

I'd gladly walk across the desert

with no shoes upon my feet

To share with you the last bite

of bread I had to eat

I would swim out to save you

In your sea of broken dreams

When all your hopes are sinking

Let me show you what love means

Chorus:

Love can build a bridge

Between your heart and mine

Love can build a bridge

Don't you think it's time (2x)

I would whisper love so loudly

Every heart would understand

That love and only love

Can join the tribes of man

I would give my heart's desires

So that you might see

The first step is to realize

That it all begins with you and me

(chorus)

When we stand together

It's our finest hour

We can do anything, anything

If we keep believing in the power

Love can build a bridge

Between your heat and mine

Love can build a bridge

Don't you think it's time

Don't you think it's time.

You Had Me From Hello by Kenny Chesney

One word, that's all you said

And something in your voice caused me to turn my head

Your smile just captured me

And you were in my future as far as I could see

I don't know how it happened but it happened still

You ask me if I love you and if I always will. Well....

You had me from hello, I felt love start to grow

The moment that I looked into your eyes

It was over from the start, you completely stole my heart

And now you won't let go.

I never even had a chance you know, you had me from hello.

Inside, I'd built a wall

So high around my heart I thought I'd never fall

One touch, you brought em down.

The bricks of my defenses scattered all around

And I swore to me I wasn't gonna love again.

The last time was the last time, I let someone in. Well....

You had me from hello, I felt love start to grow

The moment that I looked into your eyes

It was over from the start, you completely stole my heart

And now you won't let go.

I never even had a chance you know, you had me from hello.........

That's all you said

And something in your voice caused me to turn my head

You had me from hello

You had me from hello

Girl I've loved you from.....hello.

Love of My Life by Sammy Kershaw

You are the love of my life

And you are the reason I'm alive

And baby baby baby

When I think of how you saved me

I go crazy

I've never known love like this

And it fills me with a new tenderness

And I know I know I know

You're in my heart you're in my soul

You're all I can't resist

And I need to tell you

The first time I held you

I knew you are the love of my life

I spent a lifetime waiting

Always hesitating until you

I was lost so deep inside my shell

'Til you came and saved me from myself

Now all I really know

Is I need you

And you are the love of my life

All the joy and tears that I cry

And baby baby baby

You don't have to say a word

I see it in your eyes

As we stand together

I promise forever

'Til the day that I die

You are the love of my life

I spent a lifetime waiting

Always hesitating until you

I was lost so deep inside my shell

'Til you came and saved me from myself

Now all I really know

Is I need you

You are the love of my life

You are the reason I'm alive

There is one song that I was listening to the other day that reminded me of W/T, but I can't remember what it was. If I remember, I'll come back and post it.

Although not a big Guns and roses fan, I LOVE this song!

W/T post break-up...

Patience

Shed a tear 'cause I'm missin' you

I'm still alright to smile

Girl, I think about you every day now

Was a time when I wasn't sure

But you set my mind at ease

There is no doubt

You're in my heart now

Said, woman, take it slow

It'll work itself out fine

All we need is just a little patience

Said, sugar, make it slow

And we come together fine

All we need is just a little patience

(patience)

Mm, yeah

I sit here on the stairs

'Cause I'd rather be alone

If I can't have you right now

I'll wait, dear

Sometimes I get so tense

But I can't speed up the time

But you know, love

There's one more thing to consider

Said, woman, take it slow

And things will be just fine

You and I'll just use a little patience

Said, sugar, take the time

'Cause the lights are shining bright

You and I've got what it takes

To make it, We won't fake it,

I'll never break it

'cause I can't take it

...little patience, mm yeah, mm yeah

need a little patience, yeah

just a little patience, yeah

some more patience, yeah

need some patience, yeah

could use some patience, yeah

gotta have some patience, yeah

all it takes is patience,

just a little patience

is all you need *

I been walkin' the streets at night

Just tryin' to get it right

Hard to see with so many around

You know I don't like

Being stuck in the crowd

And the streets don't change

But baby the name

I ain't got time for the game

'cause I need you

Yeah, yeah, but I need you

Oo, I need you

Whoa, I need you

Oo, all this time

Three P.J. Harvey songs immediately come to mind for me, all from her last CD Stories From the City, Stories From the Sea, a totally awesome album BTW.

A Place Called Home

One day

I know

We'll find

A place of hope

Just hold on to me

Just hold on to me

Walk tight

One line

You're wanted

This time

There's no-one to blame

Just hold on to me

And I'm right on time

And the birds keep singing

And you're right on line

And the bells keep ringing

And the battle is won

And the planes keep winging

And I'm right on time

And the girl keeps singing

I walk

I wade

Through full lands

And lonely

I stumble

I stumble

With you

I wait

To be born

Again

With love comes the day

Just hold on to me

Now is the time to follow through, to read the signs

Now the message is sent, let's bring it to its final end

One-day-I-know-there'll-be-a-place-called-home

One Line

Do you remember the first kiss?

Stars shooting across the sky

To come to such a place as this

You never left my mind

I'm watching from the wall

As in the streets we fight

This world all gone to war

All I need is you tonight

And I draw a line

To your heart today

'To your heart from mine

A line to keep us safe'

All through the rising sun

All through the circling years

You were the only one

Who could have brought me here

And I draw a line

To your heart today

'To your heart from mine

A line to keep us safe'

This Is Love

I can't believe life's so complex

When I just wanna sit here and watch you undress

- This is love that I'm feeling

Does it have to be a life full of dread?

I wanna chase you 'round the table, wanna touch your head

- This is love that's I'm feeling

I can't believe that the axis turns on suffering

When you taste so good

I can't believe that the axis turns on suffering

While my head, it burns

- This is love that I'm feeling

Even in the summer, even in the spring

You can never get too much of a wonderful thing

You're the only story that I never told

You're my dirty little secret, wanna keep you so

Come on out, come on over, help me forget

Keep the walls from falling on me, tumbling in

- This is love that I'm feeling

'A Moment Like This' By Kelly Clarkson(winner on 'American Idol')

What if I told you

It was all meant to be

Would you believe me?

Would you agree?

It's almost that feeling

That we've met before

So tell me that you don't think I'm crazy

When I tell you love has come here and now

Chorus:

A moment like this

Some people wait a lifetime

For a moment like this

Some people search forever

For that one special kiss

Oh, I can't believe it's happening to me

Some people wait a lifetime

For a moment like this

Verse 2:

Everything changes

But beauty remains

Something so tender

I can't explain

Well, I may be dreaming

But still lie awake

Can't we make this dream last forever?

And I'll cherish all the love we share

Chorus:

A moment like this

Some people wait a lifetime

For a moment like this

Some people search forever

For that one special kiss

Oh, I can't believe its happening to me

Some people wait a lifetime

For a moment like this

Bridge:

Could this be the greatest love of all?

I wanna know that you will catch me when I fall

So let me tell you this

Some people wait a lifetime

For a moment like this

Ending Chorus:

Some people wait a lifetime

For a moment like this

Some people search forever

For that one special kiss

Oh, I can't believe it's happening to me

Some people wait a lifetime

For a moment like this

Oh, like this

Oh, I can't believe it's happening to me

Some people wait a lifetime

For a moment

like this

Oooo, like this.
