Unfortunately, I only have a disposable camera, and I had to hand that one to Scifiacid to take a picture of the troika indoors, because I was too short. I could barely see them. She kept pointing there, and I kept saying where. I was angling to be hoisted on her shoulders, but unfortunately, she wasn't playing along. I am probably way too heavy for that kind of thing, anyway.

Thanks for all the thanks. Standing up to Joss was just something I had to do. Because he lied to me when he lied to the rest of the fans. I took that personally. Add to that the fact that W/T touched me deeper than any fictional characters ever had, helped me accept myself and gave me hope and well... I couldn't just take that lying down. I don't know if I furthered our cause or not, but at least I tried. And I'm at peace with Joss now. Let him do what he will with what I told him.

Sex always leads to bad things on Buffy. Angel turned evil, Willow turned evil, Tara got shot, Buffy ended up dating Riley...

I think saying something like that directly to Joss makes an impact. I doubt he would really hang out on the Kitty Board and read how much having someone like Tara killed off so brutally before our eyes upsets us... I also think, sadly, that a lot of internet discussion of what has gone on will be dismissed as fan "hysteria". But when someone actually goes along to a signing and says to Joss in person that it was hurtful - not lame (which it was), but also actually damn hurtful - then I think it will make a difference. Unfortunately I think JW may have far too many "yes" people around him, well done Iamyouknowyours for saying what you did. Someone has to.

that makes twice in one week that Joss has been pubicly confronted on his "choices" for the W/T storyline



first by Kevin (who received a ton of emails regarding tara -hmm wonder who sent them those on the LA radio show and now by a real individual who was personally hurt by what he played out on screen



perhaps it will dawn on Joss/hollywood that Nothing is mindless entertainment. EVERYTHING we see and hear feeds into our perceptions and thus reflects on our culture



He's peddling a show targeted to youth. He needs to take responsibility for what he puts on the screen.

Just wanted to say some stuff. One is that Iamyouknowyours did the most of anyone I know to make a point with Joss himself about the nature and consequences of his actions. More, though--I was very fortunate enough to stand next to Iamyouknowyours in line, and believe me comments on this board so far do not do justice to how nice and classy this young lady is. I never got any negativity or bile from her, but plenty of straightforward sincerity and devotion. The only time all day (well, to be honest, all week) I felt anything like it was when I actually stood in front the divine Amber and she asked me how I was doing. Iamyouknowyours is also an actress and she now has a fan who's never seen her act. My hope is she one day gets the kind of exposure Amber has. Let us all hope.

wow, I still can't believe how each time Amber appears in public she comes off better and better. What an amazing woman. I just don't understand why Joss would ever want to NOT keep her in his show. I think that shows the height (depths?) of his stupidity. I hope that Amber does an event someplace that I can finally meet her.



Iamyouknow: I was more moved by your desecription than I was by the death itself, which seemed so forced and bogus. I hope Joss was shaken to his very core and might actually reflect on his decision. You are very brave and were an incredible spokesperson for us all. May you be at peace.

Just wanted to add another shout out to Iamyouknowyours, you are amazing, thankyou for having the poise and bravery to say what you did.

I was at Tower too, and things were pretty rushed so getting much of anything out was a challenge in itself, course I wouldn't know, my nerves took over and I couldn't speak, I ended up shoving the cd in my girlfriend's hand and stood behind her while she did all the talking. :/

As for Amber, what can I say, she's completely charming and so engaging. What was great was that she would spark up a conversation with everyone, there was dialogue going on, which was a nice break from feeling a little herded through Michelle and Joss. Michelle was nice but looked kinda done with the whole thing, Joss looked bored. I got a smile out of Amber and ended up saying thanks, and that's about it. I know, nothing new,but I thought I'd share anyway. And now I know to get there earlier if I want to meet any Kittens.
