For those in USA, it appears this episode of Cold Case with Amber is about to be re-run on CBS tonight (Sunday June 20th 2004) at 8pm eastern... (tv guide)

My review:



First off, I have never seen "Cold Case" before so I come as a complete novice to the show.



The story was very good and touched on a highly emotive subject, abortion, and was handled very well. I was interested in the fact that one of the friends of Amber's character siad that she had saved her life by getting her away from an illegal abortionist.



As for Amber's performance, I was mesmerised. She was completely believable in that role (in fact I was rather unsure whether Amber was acting or just playing herself, so close to the character her real-life demeanor seems).



The episode had me crying at the end. No mean feat, I can assure you.



Good ep. Why can't this woman get work in Hollywood? Wake up and smell the talent, Hollywood.

Finally got a chance to see it (although I missed the first twenty minutes). Good episode, even if Amber hadn't been in it. Seeing her again...*sigh* She was wonderful (of course). And her character as a "Jane" volunteer...that's so "Tara!"



It was hard, watching her die again....



It was hard to go to sleep that night, as "Come On People Now, Smile On Your Brother" kept running through my head. But I don't mind. It's Amber.



Hopefully, this episode might lead to other roles for her. Maybe Jerry Bruckheimer could say "you know, that girl from the Cold Case episode, about the abortion volunteers...she'd be perfect for this new show..."

Not a silly notion at all CaptMurdock. It's amazing how many actors seem to guest on these shows and then turn up starring on something else a few months later, and if anyone ever says Amber is too identified with a particular character to lead in something else on TV well I have three words for them: Richard Dean Anderson.

Ok Aussies, Cold Case returns on Monday 31/01 at 8:30 pm on Channel Nine (in Brisbane anyways). The first episode happens to be Volunteers with Amber . . . . woohoo!!!!

I just watched the episode and came onto the board with the express idea of talking about it only to discover how bloody long we've had to wait for it to turn up down here! Lol.

Typical.

Anyway, I just wanted to cry on the shoulder of every kitten who watched this show and bemoaned the fact that we had to watch Amber get shot AGAIN.

And she broke my heart all over again. Watching that scene in the car was gut-wrenching. And how beautiful was she? I hope she never cuts her hair again. She makes the most stunning hippy... I really hope she gets more work. Tons. Let us begin a campaign to get her on as many shows as possible, thereby filling our screens with Amber goodness.
