The Entropy Kiss and the entire Seeing Red bed scene(s) are the essence and epitome of Willow/Tara sexiness for all the reasons already stated. Since I can't improve upon what's already been observed, I offer instead two easy-to-overlook-Tara-scenes from Flooded (an easy-to-overlook-episode with no plot but some wonderful dialogue) which I find unbelievably sexy and quintessentially Tara:



It's morning and the SG's gathered in the Summers' living room. Tara's sitting on the arm of Willow's chair. Her hair's twisted up in a clip, exposing her lovely long neck. As an added bonus, her hair's just messy enough to suggest what we now lovingly know as Tara's JBF look.



Tara's wearing a plunge-cut black see-through shell with a wrap around dusty rose cardigan that rides low on her shoulders so that her collarbones and most of her chest are fully exposed. The cardigan's too small to cover her ample bust so instead it rests along side each of her breasts, accentuating and framing them to a lovely effect.



Twice during the scene, Tara puts her hand on the small of Willow's back or wraps her arm around Willow's shoulders. A small gesture with no particular motivation or purpose except that Tara's very much in love with the woman sitting next to her.



I could be mistaken, but this scene may have actual dialogue and other characters. I've never really noticed.



Later that night at the Magic Box, Tara's pulling books in the background with Dawn. She's wearing the same outfit as in the morning, almost. Her skirt's the same (just tight enough around her hips and ass to make your mind wander . . . ) but sometime during her day she's shed the pantyhose she was wearing that morning. (I have it on good authority that she lost them that afternoon when she & Willow ditched class and snuck back to the house while Dawn was at school and Buffy was applying for a bank loan. ) Anyways, Tara's legs and feet are bare and for the first time ever I noticed what lovely kissable lickable ankles Tara has. Hmmmm.



Tara & Dawn join A/X at the table, Dawn desperately trying to convince MotherTara that she's old enough to do demon research. Tara relents, handing Dawn a book and then (I LOVE this moment) Tara rolls her eyes and folds her arms. It's so simple, but it's a wonderful moment. The lighting is subdued but warm. Tara's completely at ease even though Willow's not even in the room. And as she folds her arms, the cropped sleeves of the cardigan really accentuate Tara's beautiful arms, wrists and hands and her lovely long fingers. (Hmmmm. Long fingers. Long fingers reaching deep inside . . . oh! Sorry! uh, erm, sorry! )



Meanwhile, as Dawn's figuring out that she's looking at a picture of a truly horny boy-demon, Tara's expressions are just priceless! Moments later, after Xander babbles something inane about how to pronounce M'Fashnek, Tara just looks away from him, purses her lips and pointedly exhales -- a silent commentary on how, even for Xander, it was an incredibly stupid statement.



I really love both these scenes in large part because Tara is incredibly beautiful and sexy without ever being consciously aware of how hot she is. But also I think they illustrate what a subtle and talented actor Amber is. Nothing Tara does in either scene advances the plot and both scenes could have just as easily excluded her. But Amber plays both scenes in a quietly charming and wonderful way, perfectly conveying Tara's love for both Willow and Dawn while giving us glimpses of Tara's delightful quirkiness.



Even though the writers have never fully realized or utilized Tara, throughout her tenure Amber has been able to take scenes in which she only has 1 or 2 lines and create this amazingly rich and full interior life for Tara. She completely inhabits Tara, even when she's shot deep in the background, or off to the side or blurred in the foreground while the camera focuses on other characters, other actions, other dialogue. There's no dead time, no squandered moments. Yet she never upstages the other actors or the point of the scene because that's something that Tara herself would never do. It's impressive.



As a healthy red-blooded woman, I noticed Tara's considerable attributes right away. But I had to grow into my appreciation for Amber as an actor. But now, any scene with Tara is doubly good! Like mmmm'Tara with a plate of mmmm'cookies.

In Restless, where Willow runs backstage and finds Tara. Tara, with her hair in several braids, looks soooo unbelievably hot in her outfit. I also love when Willow writes on her back with black ink at the start of the episode.

Oh, and don't forget the icecream truck



In OMWF when Tara sings 'Wish i could stay' with Giles. She looks, and sounds, gorgeous. Every note is so throaty and perfect!

Also when they're in bed together during 'Under your spell', when Tara sings 'I can't feel you inside' and looks down so coyly. e



Finally, I think the Entropy make-up kiss is just the sexiest W/T moment ever.

The breathing in Tabula Rasa. Yes, I'm going through the season again and only watching the parts that I like. So...the breathing and looking in the tunnel in this ep. The way that Willow's eyes keep glancing down at Tara's lips; so hesitantly and yet so certain that she wants those lips. Presumably, all over her body.

There are so many to mention, but I drool every time I see Tara in Shadow. Infact it was on tonight on FX. When the Scoobs are sitting at the table looking in the books for Glory and Tara puts her hair behind her ear while leaning next to Willow... I also love the way she looks when she's out of breath running in the cemetary in the beginning of Bargaining, fanning herself in that leather jacket. Oh and one more, when Tara and Willow are sitting on the bed talking to the council about their "relationship". Can I just say yumm-ee. As for Willow, I think she looks damn sexy in Seeing Red when she's talking to Dawn about it being 10 o'clock. Her hair looks so good for JBF!

While I absolutely agree with the yumminess and all, thinking about the Vixen Tank Top reminded me of a stupid, but nagging question I've had for a couple of years: How come whenever they show Tara (and maybe Willow too) wearing PJs or nightgowns etc, she's wearing a bra? She's wearing a bra under the Vixen Tank Top, and the nightgown in Afterlife and the nightgown in ATW. I think it's been equally true of Buffy and her nightwear, but I can't remember those episodes off the top of my head.



Who in the hell wears a bra to bed?



I realize this isn't a particularly important question as Willow obviously removes Tara's bra as soon as the cut to commercial, but I thought I'd see if anyone had an explanation for something that always struck me as stupid and, frankly, leaves me feeling a little cheated that we never got to see bra-less Tara climbing into bed. 'Cause wow, that would be, well, wow.
