I got a big kick out of this, I bet a lot of you will too.

It's very cute, and very well done. Someone put a whole lot of work into this.

Seems cool enough. I'll give it a try.

Wow that looks cool.

And certainly worthy of being linked here.

Wow that looks so cool, I loved all the features the Doublemeat cracked me up. Oh and the caption at the top rocked! Very cool game.

Ok.

I downloaded it and I have played a few rounds.

It is a cute little game. Really well done and fun. I am going to let my son give it a try. It feels like a Nintendo game.

Some of my favorite bits so far are the "monsters".

I daresay this guy feels like we do. ;)

Plus while you are playing watch for the movie poster for "Chance"!

A lot of work went into this and it shows. Not to mention an unstated, but obvious, love for Willow and Tara.

This should be on every Kitten's harddrive.

A little MKF game review...

Postby Rocktoddy » Mon Aug 02, 2004 1:52 pm

Okay so I just finished playing and first I must say that every Kitten should play it! So if you haven't done it yet, GO! :D

As the game progresses it gets tougher and tougher; those stakes and crossbows were literally killing me! Somehow the monsters going "Grrr, Argh!" made me think happily about certain other "mutant enemies"... *snicker* It's just one more motivator for not running into those little evil critters.

And I sooo love the Extra Flamey candles, they give the levels a nice aim besides just finding all the Kitten Poker Chips.

I highly recommend this game, *sigh* Too bad it's only half-finished... I'm gonna try and see if I can come up with stuff to improve it and mail to the creator, cuz this totally rules!

Check it out!

I tried this game out, and may I just say I nearly died of a cute overdose? The little poing sound Miss Kitty makes with every little bounce had to be the best.

I'm curious to see if the creator is pursuing game development as a career as well as just something cute and fan-ish to do? It'd be cool if this game was used as both a resume builder and a very fun time.

I'm terrible at games like these, though, sadly. Am I the only one who has problems not leaping off the edge and into the abyss?

I fell into the abyss a couple of times too, MellindraX. :)

This is just the cutest game! Sometimes I have to remind myself to keep going instead of just sitting here smiling at the screen... :kgeek

I thought it was very easy in the beginning, but it got much harder towards the end. I just love to see MKF bouncing everywhere...

The game also explains why MKF got so little screen time, obviously spent all her time hanging around these graveyards...:)

Willow: ...I have to tell you....

Tara: No, I understand you have to be with the person you l-love

Willow: I am

I'm having a problem. It seems to load fine, but whenever I try to play the game itself (I can play around with the options and stuff without problems) it reboots my system. Any ideas or should I just reload? Running XP Home.

Trom,

Have you checked the resolution you set in options ? Try it at 640x480 first. Secondly I would re-download directX9.0b and install it, won't hurt and might help if for some reason it got broken on your system.

What a cute game! Cute bouncing kitten, extra-flamey candles and GrrAargh mosters - what more could you ask for?

One thing I didnt get though was the purple/white blobs. At first I thought they were crystals (dolls-eye?) but the picture in the file is called 'jelly'. Is this a reference Im not getting or does the maker just like jelly....?:confused

I *finally* made it through the Flying Fatality level, only to get stuck with the next level--the first one with the construction boxes. Am I supposed to move the boxes to cover abyss spots?

If I remember correctly, you can just move the first box out of the way and then menoeuvre the next box into the hole to cross over it.

Hope thats helpful!

hehe, this is a wonderful game. the controls/conept is simple, but it takes some practice to play well (esp. the later levels). Timing is key :p

I say download it, for sure! I mean, hello, it's free! (the best part of all). It's also alot of fun to look at the amount of detail put into the "landscaping" of the graveyards...

Hello Kittens-

Will this game work on a Mac (an old G-3 to be specific)?

Thank you,

Jixer, the following is from that guy's site:

Quote:
Q Will there be a Mac version?

A No. A horrible irony considering Willow's affinity for Apple, but this is my first game and I'm using Dark Basic Professional, which relies on Microsoft DirectX. They have no plans to release a OpenGL-based Mac version. Sorry :(

I also have an old G3, oh to get a G5... anyway, I downloaded it on my gf's PC :sh

missing website

Seems that the site is down and the individual had some hosting issues. I'll see if I can sweet talk him into putting on bittorrent or something.

Hmm, I’m a sucker for sweet talk… but I just got a new site up and running: skwirle.com. Unfortunately, I was on a little hiatus from game development and there isn’t a new version available… yet.

If anyone is really interested in beta testing (and doesn’t mind having their computer burst into flames while documenting errors) you can email me at beta@skwirle.com.

Well, I guess this post officially ends my sneaky cat lurking. Hi everybody!

Took me long enough... the new version of the Miss Kitty Fantastico game is finally available at skwirle.com! It’s still not close to being called "finished"… but I’ve been promising to release something for over a month now.

Lots of bug fixes, 13 new levels, new monsters and goodies, and power-ups including Amy the Rat and Mr. Gordo. Woo hoo.

Thanks for everyone's feedback and support! Hopefully Miss Kitty will one day be reunited with Tara and Willow :)
