Amber in Imaginary Crimes

So, like I got to see this movie on DVD tonight. And because I have watched some really really bad Amber films (i.e. the horror that is S.F.W.) I think this one deserves special mention. Amber is probably in 5 or 6 scenes - she plays the prep school best friend of the lead character. And she is very good in her scenes - especially to me the bit where she fakes a fainting spell to distract a college entrance exam until her friend can get there.

However, what makes this worth watching is the movie is really very very good. Well acted all around. An interesting story of a con man who believes his own lies trying to raise two daughters. It is out on DVD. I got it through my rental service NetFlix. I'd recommend it to all of you. It hit home quite a bit for me as the father reminded me of my own. Anyway, if you have been suffering through bad movies to catch a glimpse of Amber or Aly this is a welcome oasis.

Well officially, of course, I have to say that I have no idea what you're talking about.

I second Autumn's recommendation. I also really enjoyed this movie and would have even if Amber was not in it. She has some very cute scenes with Fairuza Balk and there are some very nice performances by Harvey Keitel (he keeps his pants on in this one) and Vincent D'Onofrio. Well with your time.

I also saw it through Netflix, so I don't know if it's available through the national video chains like Blockbuster but it's sufficiently "family oriented" that it probably is.

You know, NetFlix is probably going crazy trying to figure out why so many people are renting this movie from them:)

I also rented the DVD from them and I've got to agree that its a decent movie to watch and the Amber parts are like an added bonus.

Exactly. Nothing that will scar you for life here. I am glad others enjoyed it as well. And at this point I will do a commercial. NetFlix Rulz. Seriously.
