Alyson Hannigan
Alyson Hannigan, star of Buffy the Vampire Slayer and the American Pie trilogy, is about to make her West End debut in the stage version of When Harry Met Sally. She answers your questions.
If you had to work in one field only, television, film or stage, which would you choose and why? Brian Hawkins, Manchester
Film, so that I can explore being lots of different characters - TV doesn't really allow you that chance.
Are you a fan of the film When Harry Met Sally? What do you think of Meg Ryan's performance? Claire Admiral, Cambridge
Yes, I am a fan. Meg Ryan did a fabulous job - she was wonderful. It was harder stepping into her shoes before I started rehearsing the part. Once I started saying the lines it was easier to put the way she did it out of my head.
What are you looking forward to about living and working in Britain? Keith Sutherland, Edinburgh
The rain.
What made you decide to do When Harry Met Sally - it seems to be quite a departure from your normal "geeky" roles. Trevor Stephens, Tiverton
I adore the character of Sally and the writing is simply brilliant, so it was an easy decision.
Are you nervous about performing on the London stage? Kerry Griffin, Manchester
Definitely.
What do you think of the score that Jamie Cullum has written for the production? Louis Rowland, London
It's wonderful music. I am really looking forward to meeting him.
I read that you had been given your own spin-off NBC series. Can you reveal any more about it? Gerry Thomas, Glasgow
It is an all new sit-com, not really a spin off from Buffy. At the moment we are just doing a pilot for a potential series. David Schwimmer, who plays Ross in Friends, is directing, which is great.
The character of Sally grows up in jumps of years during the story. Was it a deliberate decision to play a more "mature" part and move away from "teen" characters to develop a more rounded acting reputation? Robert Fox, Nottingham
Yes-ish. It's definitely one of the benefits of doing the role.
Which aspect of When Harry met Sally are you finding most difficult? Jodie Miles, Winchester
The hardest thing for me is adapting my performance style to work on stage.
When Harry Met Sally is at the Theatre Royal, Haymarket, from next week.
