American Pie 2

Postby BlackLab » Wed Mar 27, 2002 9:55 pm

What, was the I the only one who had to go to the first showing of this film? Hee hee! I thought it was very funny overall (except for a few scenes) but the Aly scenes were the best! Um, big surprise. The guys were still the main characters but Aly did indeed have an increased screen presence. I guess I better not say too much, but as I noted on the media thread, the MTV special did inadvertently give something away. Two vague hints. "The strumpet with the trumpet." (Americans over a certain age will recognize that tabloid headline.) And, "Hey! That's the Tara position!"

Wow, just got home. The theatre has been sold out since like 3 for every AP2 showtime today. Got tickets though. OMG this movie is like the greatest thing in the whole world! It's soooo so funny. Everyone clapped at the end too! It was great.
Without giving anything away...this movie was rated PG-13 right? Cause wow, I can't believe it!

This movie was awesome! Aly was terrific as usual! *G* This one time, at band camp.... *grin* I also couldn't wait to see this movie so I ended up going by myself to the second matinee (first one was sold out on both screens!) There was a lot of applause and really loud laughter during this movie, especially at the end. If you can, see it! Of course I totally agree with BlackLab that the Aly scenes were the best!

Smelly Cheese: Oh, yeah! Whenever I saw those Willow curls on Michelle, I thought she must have come straight from the Buffy set. The 12:30 matinee I attended was about half senior citizens, half teenage boys: a fun little crowd that responded appropriately.

I went to go see the show yesterday at noon. It was extremely funny in my opinion, but I was a bit disappointed that pretty much every female character other than Michelle had very small parts.

One of my favorite parts was the 'You shouldn't be here! One time there was a guy who had cookies," etc. Call me cheesy, but I loved the way it turned out in the end.

By the way, am I the only person that noticed that in the scene where Michelle is playing billiards with Jason and Nadia, her hair is all Willow-curly, and then directly after when she's in her car, it's completely straight?

I just saw AP the first one. I had been avoiding it cause I thought it would be worse than like Porky's or something. It wasn't like that and it was rather sweet. So this week I shall go off and enjoy AP2. Love Aly!

Hey did you all see American Pie 2 was number 1 at the box office this weekend, they said it was the biggest R rated comedy opening weekend ever and it was the second biggest R rated movie opening weekend ever. Woo Hoo! Go Aly! AP2 was funny as hell. I've already seen it twice.

I saw this movie on Friday as well. I don't know if that's a good or bad thing. The theatre was filled with 14-16 year olds who were really noisy and annoying. Here in Canada American Pie 2 is only rated AA which means anyone who is 14 years of age or older can get into it. I felt like I was at the movies with my little sister's class. Besides that, I liked the movie. The band camp scenes were the best and I loved seeing Natasha Lyonne as well. I could've done without the cheesy couple, Oz and Heather. Too corny and dumb in my opinion. But this movie is definitely worth watching. I laughed out loud a number of times. Aly totally stole the show!

you know what's really annoying is when two guys go to the movies, but are homophobic so they sit with a seat between them. i never really payed much attention to it, but when i went to see ap2 there were like 4 different group of guys sitting like that. i

Otherwise known as "Marky Mark and the Monkey Bunch," according to my friend.

When does "Hedwig and the Angry Inch" hit UK movie theaters? I hear the stage production in Edinburgh is doing really well . . . my friend is in it, and I so wish I could see her!

Do you always have to be on a date when you're at the movies? I don't see the whole "empty seat between 2 guys" thing happening here in Toronto. Maybe because the theatre was too full so they couldn't that. Or maybe cuz I never notice the guys...

Eh, I'm not so good at the whole sharing of sweeties thing in the cinema. I tend to clutch my popcorn close.

Now, as for AP2, I'm dying to know what happens in the end. I have a pretty good idea but is it best to stay unspoiled until I see it or not?

Okay, is it just me, or were the guy who played Kevin (Tom?) and Mena inferring that Alyson was a "commanding" bitca (*thwaps them both upside the head for good measure*) in their commentary when they mention her during her first scene, referencing "the last line" of hers in the first movie?

And yeah, Mena Suvari is pretty much insufferably irritating throughout the actor commentary. Among other things, it sounds like she never even read the script.

Oh god, Dumbsaint! No, I don't think that's what they were trying to say. I thought that Jason Biggs was trying to get the guts to say that Aly was basically a big perve (again in the best sense) who is the type of person who would say, "Say my name bitch!" and the other two were just being silly and egging him on. He was saying that she is not at all like her character except, maybe, in the sexual area. I took "commanding" to mean that, like Michelle, Aly is sexually unihibited and, unlike Michelle, she is very outgoing. A dual meaning for "commanding" there. Besides, all three of them were cooing about how darn cute she was just three seconds before that comment and were complimentary of her throughout the commentary. Also, Mena and Thomas had very few scenes with her, so what do they know? They seemed to mostly be reacting to Jason's comments, which, as I said, were VERY positive.

Also, having had a chance to listen to pertinent parts of all the commentaries now, ALL of them had great things to say about Alyson. I picked up NO bad feelings AT ALL. Quite the opposite, I got the impression she was extremely well-liked. And, geez, looking at the behind-the-scenes footage, it seemed she was having a great time with one and all. Everyone seemed loose and happy.

Alyson's a sweetheart. A perverted and spazzy one, but a sweetheart none the less. That's my story and I'm sticking to it!!

Kristy, considering AP2 is still showing in alot of cinemas, I doubt that the DVD will be coming out soon. I'd say we're looking at a release date of at least 2 1/2 months from now - AT LEAST - Of course *hides in the shadows and whispers softly*, if you wanted to acquire the VCD on the black market, I'd suggest going to some Asian stores... or if you happen to have any friends going to the Philippines or anything like that. That's all I can think of.

I remember when there was a whole category on jeopary called Buffy the Vampire Slayer. i didn't actually see it but it had clips of it online.
and i totally LOVED AP2 when i saw it last summer in theaters. i saw it 4 times in theaters and i have the unrated dvd. i thought the movie was SO hilarious and i liked it better than the first. probably becuase aly had such a greater role in this one. she had a bigger role than all the other females, i loved it! and i love how blunt and stuff michelle is! and that part with the trumpet! and when michelle was breaking up with jim! i love that movie! maybe i'll go watch it right now.

I finally caught AP2 tonight on Encore. God was Aly great (yeah, big surprise)!

In all honesty, this still isn't the kind of movie I would consider seeing in a theater (I only saw AP1 when it was on Fox a few months ago). But I may have to make an exception for American Wedding (AP3).

I can't believe how long it took "Jimbo" to answer the clue phone, about who was more desirable, Michelle or Nadia (then again, I couldn't understand why Michelle did not have throngs of admirers---male and female!---in the first flick). The film had quite a few slow patches (as well as the painfulness of that "psuedo-lesbian" scene), but not when Aly was on-screen!:heart

To me, Michelle is not nearly as appealing a character as Willow (then again, who is? ;) ), still I'm wishing there had been a "Michelle" when I was at band camp! (And I had been sexually aware enough at that age to appreciate her, but that's another story :p )

GG Once again touting the DirecTV Free Preview Weekend, the dyke classic "Desert Hearts" will be on late tomorrow night. Tape away, yon trusty VCR! Out

Do I detect still more emoticons? Look at how you can do a Joss-Whedon progression:

I finally saw AP2 on xita's laptop last night and I was very pleasantly surprised. The first one gave me about three laughs but this one was much better. Aly was precious, making all those irresistible faces. :heart She got some great lines as well. The movie as a whole was funny this time, it wasn't just Aly and Stiffler's mom that made me laugh. I'm looking forward to AP3 much more now, Aly's part will be even bigger in that one and obviously that can only be a good thing. The only female character I will miss will be Natasha Lyonne's. Gotta love her as well.

Hee... my favorite Aly moment is when she is about to "break-up" with Jim and she yells, "Big stupid dummy!"

SO fucking hillarious!! :rofl

Or the scene that follows once they get downstairs. I wonder how many times they had to shoot that scene?? Hee... :lol

Cool, thanks Kajo. :) I don't think we ever had thread for the first AP as it came out before the Kitten Board existed. But this is a good thread actually, I think most of those bloopers are from AP2 anyway. And funny bloopers they are, Aly is hilarious and impossibly adorable. :lol

AP2 sound clip?

Postby globallurker » Sun Dec 07, 2003 2:05 am

Hello kittens. I have scoured the web in search of a sound clip from AP2. I can find all sorts of stuff for the first AP, but not Ap2. I'm looking for that scene where Jim is clumsily fondling Michelle and she says "oh, you're making me wet!":blush

(ok, I'll admit it. I want to make fun little Willow/Tara sound montage.:whistle )

I can't even find a video clip. Does anyone have a soundbite? If there is a video clip somewhere, does anyone know how to extract the audio from it and turn it into a wav file?

thanks!

American Pie

Postby wimpy0729 » Sun Dec 21, 2003 9:46 pm

Hey guys! I just saw American Pie on DVD the other night hosted by Alyson and that other guy. Still makes me laugh! My favorite part was in the extras when they were talking to Aly about the part where she said "What's my name?!!" "Say my name, BITCH!!!" They showed her doing it over and over again, and she came up with the last one by herself (LOVE HER!) She said she really didn't recall filming that, kinda just got carried away. She also said there have been several times in her career where she didn't really remember the actual filming of some scenes. Does anyone else think she might have gotten carried away with some of her scenes with Amber? (Aahhh -- makes my mind wander lustfully!)

Buffy: Maybe it's time to start a new tradition -- birthdays without boyfriends. It could be just as much fun.

Willow: Preachin' to the choir here, baby.

Hey! Just saw American Wedding, and although Aly is ALWAYS worth watching, I was pretty disappointed in the movie. Aside from the restaurant scene, they really didn't give her much to work with. They definitely didn't tap into her wonderful abilities. I guess after seeing how funny she was in 1 and 2, I expected them to give her more of the same. The breakup scene in 2 is one of the funniest things I've ever seen! But then she gets in her car to drive off and you see her beautiful eyes but with the sadness. I just melted!
