FYI - isn't it strange that 20th century/fox could come up with the kind of bucks it woud take to bring Eliza D back to play faith for 3 eps of angel and 5 of buffy - but they SUPPOSEDLY couldn't come up with enough dough to bring amber back to torture willow as evilghostotara for ONE episode?





seems to me amber was as SHE SAID "protective of the character" and what the character has come to stand for



My guess - there wasn't enough money FOX could throw at Amber to bring her back to play a part that would sully tara's memory and hurt her fans

Hmm I actually did not think it was a Kitten, if it were said someone might have posted about it eventhough Amber didn't accept, heh. I am sure no one can turn such an offer down in a nicer way than Amber Benson can.

as for the whedon comment on tara/amber not coming back - given that he compares it to seth Not Wanting to come back given what he was being asked to perform (as opposed to $) - I'd say the logical conclusion one would draw from joss's statement is that amber also did Not Want to come back given what she was being asked to perform.



also since amber notes in her interview that she is open to anything since she likes to/has to pay her bills - one would be hard pressed to think she turned down a paying gig on a show she loves working with people she loves - over it not paying enough



I'd say the truth is implicitly if not explicity there for all to see - amber told eonline she was "protective" of tara and what she has come to stand for to the fans - whedon says it was a "seth" situation (actor unhappy with the part so unwilling to come back) - amber obviously has bills to pay and is taking low paying indie parts to pay the mortgage - so it sure wasn't money keeping her from doing more buffy



nice to see there is an actress in hollywood who has principles that can't be bought off - and who really cares about her fans

When you are on the page Pipsqueak linked and you still cannot see the second part hit the control(ctrl) button and r at the same time, that will reload the page and you should be able to see the updated page then. If that doesn't work you can try by deleting your temporary internet files from their folder.

Thanks for the transcript pipsqueak, it was an interesting read. It definitely sounds like Amber is putting Buffy behind her and moving on with her career. Probably a wise decision, but it makes one wonder if there was some bitterness there that she isn't mentioning. Not that I want to imply anything, just a guess or way off base speculation really. I still wish she wouldn't repeat that "it was the only way to take Willow to a different level" line. I really do hate that. Sorry, but the real question should have been why we are going there in the first place. Amber and Chris' new project sounds great though!
