I'm being so indecisive this year and haven't yet booked my big holiday, so I was wondering.....

Where are all the Kittens heading for their summer breaks?
What was your worst ever holiday ?
What was your best ever holiday?
What is your ultimate dream holiday ?
What type of trips would W/T have been on, or would like to go on ?

My worst ever holiday was at youth camp when I was about 13....major food poisoning - only got out of bed on the final day !

Best trip was to the Southwest U.S.A. .. Monument Valley,
Santa Fe, Canyon De Chelly, Old Mesilla, Tucson ...woo hoo!!

Have a great day everybody:rofl

I can't wait for this summer although I wish I had more time. I know for vacation I'm going to Otakon for the weekend and to pensic war (a two week long camping sca event) I've had some cool trips, pensic last year was one of them. also anytime I get to go to a convention no matter if its sci fi or anime its always a good trip.
I think Willow and Tara would go some place quite and off by its self like a mountain cabin where they could be alone together and do spells. make pancakes and snuggle... thats what I think

Oh holidays! Well, I loved Australia, Malaysia, Central and North America. All great places to have holidays. And in the UK, Dartmoor is one of my favourite places.

I travel a bit through work, and some of those places aren't so good. I'll be wearing sandals though, as I'm going off to the Middle East. I have my own gas mask though.

I think Willow and Tara would be good travellers, maybe travelling round the world, while gathering useful research notes on different cultures and Wicca ways. Not to mention the treatment of cats in different cultures.

I love to travel and I have had some great vacations.

The best was probably the 2 months I spent in Italy a couple of summers ago. It was fantastic because it combined all of my favorite things: great food and wine, lots of great artwork everywhere and fantastic museums, and beautiful scenery and beaches. It really was an amazing trip. My dream vacations would be to spend many more just like it in numerous other countries.

I haven't had too many bad holidays. Last summer wasn't fantastic. My gf and I watched her sister's house and dog for her while she was on her honeymoon for a few weeks. Her house was infested with mice, which really creeped me out and it was really, really hot. We tried to stay away from the house as much as possible though, so we spent a lot of time at the beach, which was a lot of fun. So all in all it was an ok little trip.

Where are all the Kittens heading for their summer breaks?
I've definitely got the annual cottage plan in mind, a week basking by the shores of Catchacoma Lake (in the Kawarthas, north of Peterborough, Ontario). Never miss it; can't wait.
What was your worst ever holiday ?
My Dad tried booking a place in some small town in Pennsylvania once; ended up in Dullsville, USA. At least we got some half-decent shopping in.
What was your best ever holiday?
3 years ago, in the Netherlands. Went and saw the family, took a car tour with a cousin, lots of fun and cool sights.
What is your ultimate dream holiday ?
A cycling tour of the Netherlands! Either that, or a big round-the-world trip, taking years if necessary. See anything and everything.
What type of trips would W/T have been on, or would like to go on ?
They seem to enjoy car trips, if Wilderness was any indication; I also like Ruth's ideas of British visits to soak in the atmosphere, meet pirate ghosts, and generally frolic. ;)

Oh you know I don't care where I go as long as there is a hotel involved. That's my idea of a getaway :p

Don't know where I'm going for my summer break this year, but I've had some pretty awesome vacations in the past.

One of the best ones was a summer cruise along the Alaskan coast. If you've never seen Alaska, you're missing out. I got to ride in a helicopter, walk on top of a glacier, hike through an Alaskan rainforest, see bald eagles in the wild, ride a train through the mountains, and a bunch of other stuff. It kicked major ass.

New Orleans is a great vacation spot as well. Lots of different things to see. I could spend days in the French Quarter. I just wish I had gone with friends instead of with my family, because they weren't too keen on the whole jazz/bars/nightlife scene.

Las Vegas is also fun. There's plenty of stuff to do even if you don't like to gamble. My parents love it, thought, and are always finding excuses to travel to places with casinos (it's illegal in Tennessee, where we live), so we've been to Vegas at least 4 times in the past 8 years.

As far as Europe goes, I would highly recommend tiny little towns in the Swiss Alps (Gimmelwald!!) the whole south of France, or of course one of my favorite cities in the world, Paris. Le sigh.
