A Question about Taras Mother

I wonder if maybe Tara's mother had a mental problem and her Dad convinced her it was the demon in her and magic that caused it? That would explain sort of how Tara's dad was able to convince Tara that she had demon in her.

I don't think Tara's mother was mentally unstable, as you suggest. I'm sure she was an introverted, shy, gifted witch who was pushed from pillar to post by her family; forced into marrying the guy from hell and sentenced to a lifetime of misery. Her one shining hope would have been her little daughter who showed true talent.

I'm sure there's a fic there somewhere. If only someone would write it.
