Yeah SW, that makes sense. I mean the point that he picked up such terms used as an insult like you pointed out. But who knows, no matter where or how he picked it up, it's sad that kids and especially grown ups use 'gay' in such a manner, no doubt about that.

And I always though if something is gay it's colourful and shining.. aren't those supposed to be good things? :grin

Well, I always take 'gay' in that context as the 19th-century definition. Y'know, happy, bucolic, chipper, upbeat. Gay. :p

skittles:A polygamist computer? How warped is that?

Anyway not only does it piss me off when people use the phrase "that's so gay", but once someone said it and I was standing right there. They apologiesed for it, but I was like, you shouldn't even be useing that word like that. It's not derogatory. I called him a dumbass and sent him on his way though. I was livid. (Imagine a 160 lb 5'6" seventeen year old flailing her arms and screaming in the middle of a highschool hallway.)Truly a site to behold!

I really know how to make a scene. :grin

Itty Bitty, that's why I say what I do! :) Besides, all of the school computers have been neutered. Never had a chance or a choice.

And, Itty Bitty, I see the kind of scene you describe quite frequently.

Slick Whiskas:
I actually like that scene with Giles in "Primeval". I wouldn't expect anyone I told of being in a lesbian relationship to not be a little surprised and maybe awkward at first because that's just the way you get in this society if you never had a reason to think about it before. I wouldn't hold it against them either if
A) it didn't last too long
and
B) they'd fully accept me and my relationship after that.

And I thought the "Good luck with that" comment and the end was very cute and very ambiguous.

Kukalaka- I liked that scene as well, especially the comment you mentioned, but I could see where it would probably make Tara (who's already somewhat insecure) feel more uncomfortable.
