Wow. what an episode for Tara and Anya. I've always felt Anya was way underused on the show and although i like the humorous role she usually fills it was great to see her doing something else for a change. and kicking demon butt to boot!

as for tara, she had some great lines. My favorite part of the episode is where she teases spike about the 'cute' guy. It's also nice to see her standing up for Willow. and at the end * tosses caution to the wind* you can see reunion on the horizon.

i really can't comment on the ep as a whole. i was too enthralled in the tara/willow interaction and anya to notice the rest.

Much Tara goodness in this episode and great W/T scenes. So here’s the good stuff…

At the Magic Box, when Xander is asking Willow if it’s ok if Tara comes to the party, she says it’s ok and she looks very hopeful.

When Buffy greets Tara at the door, they hug, Buffy’s very happy to see her, Buffy says "Hey you made it." and Tara replies "Of course sweetie."
Willow’s upstairs adjusting her top in front of a mirror, she then comes down and they see each other, both are very nervous…

W- Hey.
T- Hey.
W- How are you?
T- Fine thanks, I’m - I'm fine, how are you?
W- I’m great, I mean fine, I’m - I'm finey mcfine fine.
T- You look.
W- Thanks.
T- Great.
W- You do too, is that a new? (Tara’s dress)
T- Oh yeah.
W- It’s nice.
T- I’m - I'm gonna get something to drink. (walks towards the kitchen.)
W- Oh yeah great, you should, you don’t want to get thirsty. (talking by herself.)

Tara’s in the kitchen making breakfast and Willow walks in, they talk about needing to leave but not wanting to, they both smile at each other.

When the gang is together and Buffy says that their best bet to get out of the house is magic, Willow looks really nervous, Xander looks at Willow but Tara says that she’ll do it, when Willow tells them that she has some supplies left, Tara and Buffy both hang their heads in disbelief, Tara tells Willow to bring her the supplies but that she’ll be doing the spell by herself, and Willow has to stay away from it.

W/T, X/A and Spike are talking about how to get out, Anya says that Willow is more powerful then Tara and she needs to get them out, Willow doesn’t want to use magic but Anya still wants her to try, then Xander says that they brought her back once and they can do it again, Willow tells them that if she starts she may not be able to stop but Anya doesn’t care, so Tara steps in front of Willow and tells Anya "Hey! You’re gonna back off! She said no and that’s it, you’re not gonna make her do something that she doesn’t want to, and if you try, you’re gonna have to go through me first, understood?" Anya then says fine and that she’ll take care of it herself, she storms off.

Tara’s cleaning up the leftovers of the spell, and Willow’s with her…

W- Thanks for before and for taking this stuff with you.
T- No problem.
W- Just so you know, I was never gonna use it, I mean, not really, I just kept it like a safety net, cause there was always this thing in the back of my head, this you know, voice, saying like "what if things get bad, really bad and what if you can’t handle it?" and it made me panic, so that’s why I kept a couple of things, I kept them so I didn’t have to think about it, so I could focus on getting better.
T- I get it, I really do, but it’s time to work without the net Will. You know, I don’t know if you noticed, but it actually did get bad in there, really bad, and you still said no.

Tara gives her a cute grin and Willow looks at her, smiling.

Willow lived with Buffy and Dawn in the last couple of eps... but in this ep, she left with all the others. where did she go???

About the ep: I loved the W/T parts, and I loved Tara's comment on Spike even more

I don't know, but Anya seemed kinda mean this ep.. I really didn't like her today.

Well, now I go prepare myself for the next Tara-less ep.

School, I'm guessing . . . earlier in the ep she has a line about having a class to go to, but not feeling like leaving. Or maybe there's always the getting out of the house just because she finally can aspect, y'know? Possibly both. Most likely class.

I wouldn't say school...they're talking about "look at those stars!!" (which are most of the time at night)...

the getting out just because she can is possible, but why don't Buffy and Dawn go outside as well then?

I don't know, I probably shouldn't think about this too much, or I'll get crazy

well actually it is night, so the odds of the class is probably low. I think she is happily frolicking on the lawn with the rest of them. (including tara, heheh)

Well did this episode have "HOPE" written all over it in big, bold letters or what?

Xander/Anya, Buffy/Dawn, Willow/Tara (above all!)...lots of small (and not so small) hints that they´re all gonna be fine!

I´m glad the Dawn-thing has finally been adressed, it was starting to get on my nerves, and MT deserves better then to play the stereotypical teenager Dawn could have turned into, was this a lesser show.

I must say, although she was being unreasonable most of the time, I was highly impressed by Anya in the end: Her reaction after discovering Dawn´s been stealing from her, that was great. After reading spoilers (´lil spoiler ´ho that I am), I expected her to flip out and be really mad at Dawn. But she was just truly, honestly shocked. That was really fine. And EC is an terrific actress (we all new that before oc).

Talking about terrific actresses, Amber was amazing. So funny! Wow! More Tara please ladies and gentlemen over at ME! Give her a friggin´ contract already so we know for sure she´ll be back next season!

Spike was in "gotta-love-this-guy" mode, that other guy seemed SO majorly boring as opposed to him. Now if he only could stay this way and not go back to being an asshole constantly...

Oh, and there was a story, too! Cool, right? The demon-guy, and the curse, and the release-spell and all that, could have been a cool episode on that stuff alone, but no, they gotta give us this plus character and plot development en masse too!

What I loved most was that in the beginning of the argument, Tara stood back and let Willow be strong, but when Anya started browbeating her, Tara stepped in and shut Anya down. Nobody messes with her girl!

And the ending was very sweet with Willow realizing that she doesn't need a crutch anymore and Tara realizing that Willow really is getting better and they do have a chance.

After all the time they spent apart so Willow could work on her addiction, it was so good to see Tara by her side again, where she belongs.

Wonderful ep!

Tara really shined in this ep!!!!! She is very protective of both Buffy and Willow. I love the way she takes up for Willow when she refuses to do the spell. I also love when she kept on interrupting Spike while he is trying to seduce Buffy. She does not judge Buffy, but she is not too happy with Buffy's situation with Spike. Tara knows Spike is the wrong person for Buffy.

Anya is VERY annoying in this ep. I can not stand the way she attacks Willow and then patronizes Tara.

Also, I am soooooo glad Buffy is realizing she has been practically ignoring Dawn. Maybe she will stay away from Spike and spend more time with Dawn. I hope we are on our way to mending things between everyone.

Edited to ask: DID ANYONE NOTICE WILLOW LEAVES WITH TARA!!!?
------------------
Tara: My heart doesn't stutter.

Tara: Willow, I got so lost.
Willow: I found you. I will always find you.

Tara: Nobody messes with my girl!

Willow. Tara. Willow and Tara!

Loved the W/T scenes.

One thing though. Who taught them their nursing skills? Working on Richard's wound through his shirt and also putting Xander's bandage on over his? Not that I really cared, they could have let them bleed to death just as long as W/T were there.

I really enjoyed this episode. Loved the hopeful glaces/smiles in the Willow & Tara scenes, Spike-teasing and obnoxious Anya. I felt bad for Dawn. I don't care what anyone says, I don't find her whiny.
Did anyone else notice Willow being shot beside Sophie in a lot of the scenes? I'm not implying anything at all it just made me wanna jump in my t.v set to bitchslap 'er, yelling "Get away from Tara's woman you, you HOME WRECKER!"
Perhaps I was overreacting a bit.

oh god -! i'm so excited! i can't stop smiling! (my braces are painfully attacking the insides of my mouth- ick!) wow. wow. that was amazing. i'm so happy!!
when i first found out about w/t, i was all for will (hence my name), but now that i've been sucked into the never-ending black hole of w/t goodness, i've developed a "liking" for tara. she was fab in this episode.
i missed so much the adorable smilie thing she does (the one where it starts on one side, she wobbles her head a bit, then the smile ends up on the other side)! *melodramatic sigh* i wish btvs was on every night. i would be eternally happy if that were so.
yes, well, i'm off to find more spoilers- i've got this amazing craving for spoilers- i'm salivating!!

And hey, I'm gonna go out on a limb and leave you guys with a challenge... There’s a pretty big and none-too-subtle hint in tonight’s ep about the title, at least in terms of where it came from... the trick is gonna be going to the source and figuring out what it means and what it refers to... it’ll take some work for anyone interested, but I promise it’ll be worth it. For anyone who’s up for it.

Any takers?

School, I'm guessing . . . earlier in the ep she has a line about having a class to go to, but not feeling like leaving. Or maybe there's always the getting out of the house just because she finally can aspect, y'know? Possibly both. Most likely class.

the getting out just because she can is possible, but why don't Buffy and Dawn go outside as well then?

Perhaps I was overreacting a bit.

i missed so much the adorable smilie thing she does (the one where it starts on one side, she wobbles her head a bit, then the smile ends up on the other side)! *melodramatic sigh* i wish btvs was on every night. i would be eternally happy if that were so.

Well just watched the ep.

Great W/T and Tara stuff! Buffy is a little matchmaker, but she also wanted Tara there for herself.

Loved the "teasing-Spike Tara" and "supportive Tara". But most of all I liked "defending Willow Tara". Lisa (of 9) would be so proud.

Glad they gave Dawn more to do. And despite the little bit of nastiness with Willow I really liked Anya as well.

Good ep. Lot's of hope for future W/T goodness.

So Drew Greenberg was at the Bronze today and said this about tonight's episode:

quote:
And hey, I'm gonna go out on a limb and leave you guys with a challenge... There’s a pretty big and none-too-subtle hint in tonight’s ep about the title, at least in terms of where it came from... the trick is gonna be going to the source and figuring out what it means and what it refers to... it’ll take some work for anyone interested, but I promise it’ll be worth it. For anyone who’s up for it.

Any takers?

THAT was the *best* episode! Tara standing up to Anya for Willow! God, that was good! And Willow saying "no" to using magic! I was so proud!!!!! And I think I laughed for at least 10 minutes after Tara asked about Spike's "cramp"! *remembers Spike's expression and bursts out laughing...yet again* Geeze, that was priceless!

Yes, tara getting at Spike about the 'cramp' was just priceless.

Amber was just ON this week. Man, I've missed her. I hope we see more of her soon...

I loved the nervousness in the beginning. The babbling...Thought the scene at the table with Anya and Xander was hilarious..Tara ribbing Spike. Halfrek's little FYI with Tara and Clem agreeing with Tara that Richard was cute..A great episode...

Obviously a great episodes, lots lovely little W/T moments.

The only thing really missing was the hand holding, et all, missing all that physical contact. Still you know that is coming.

This epi will shoot down those nasty Tara isn't being supportive of Willow theories that those gossip mongers on other boards like to banty about.

Also knowing that this is the Willow taking a step back episode, with her stash. You just have to feel great about where our girls are headed.

All of the characters took major steps in growing up today.

I loved Hallie in this ep too. "The rest of us Justice Demons try to be more open-minded." "Please! Open minded? Like you don't have a tendency to focus on bad parents?" Tara was shining brighter than in a while. I loved how she defended willow, and all the T/S interaction. The one thing I would have liked to see would have been a MKF/Kitten Poker joke. That and serious W/T smoochies.
