The site has just gone all wonky at the moment, we're working on it now.
Fear not we'll have it back up and running soon.-HP
So I guess I'll just have to be patient.
quote:HDC is indeed "wonky" (yes that's the technical term) with ISP issues. This actually has more to do with horrible customer service than with the server. They say we were overloading the server's allowable bandwidth. We're currently pulling down a bit over 9 gigabytes of traffic for the month and projected to pull over 21 gigs by the end of the month. Problem is we're SUPPOSED to have unlimited bandwidth under the terms and conditions of our account. Now the company is trying to weasel out of that and say that we have to either reduce the ammount of traffic to our site or switch to a dedicated server (which, at the very lowest cost would be anywhere from $180 every three months to thousands of dollars and still wouldn't fix the main issue here which is suppoded to be about bandwidth, not the server itself).
I brought up how this sounds a lot like bait and switch to me, and so hopefully the implied legality of that term will spark some faster movement from these people. Y'see these guys can only be reached via email and are prone to respond only once per day. So we few, we unhappy few, we band of buggered must sit in wait while I deal with the red tape and bs. I grrr, but I press on. Glad at least a few of you guys regrouped here though.

Anyway, HP, I don't know if you can access any databases while the site is down, but it might be nice if you sent out a mass e-mail to people just letting them know that the "forbidden" message is nothing personal.
BTW, does anyone know the address for the chat room? Maybe I'll spend some time over there.

Just another HDC refugee checking in to see what's wrong with our board. It's awfully nice of you folks to put up with our distracting HDC weirdness at times like this, btw.

Hope poor HP is OK.....
Oh, and as for "crashing" at The Kitten Board, we have known we are always welcome, but crashing through the Kitten door is more fun ......
( Although the Kitties are a powerful force to deal with, so Bones replaces the door quick-smart )

The same thing seems to have happened to www.jamesmarster.com, which also had a lively posting board. Only with them I think it's a mite more permanent.
