Oh well, I think Dawn already has some powers... I still remember how she kicked that demon away after Willow crashed the car. She really is becoming stronger, I think.

And personally, I don´t know MN or any writer at all, and I have no idea _what_ they are planning. But they say they are, and they say we will like it.

And this gives me hope.

So I´ll stick with postive thinking for the next time. Ask me again when the season´s over.

Ordinarily I wouldn't expect Little Willow to give out any spoilers, but these are hardly ordinary times.

Obviously the Buffy people have figured out that we know what's coming, and it's very possible that Amber herself knows we're all freaking out. I can see some kind of vague reassurance being filtered back to us if things were going to turn out all right, and Little Willow is one of the people I would expect that kind of message to be filtered back through.

It still means nothing on its own, though. Like the SFX post, it's a hint that there's information out there for us to find, but not the information itself.

Well, no, Bob, LW's statement doesn't mean much on its own (although reading everyone's comments and LW's responses in their entirety give a better picture of her intent ). It is just one more thing for the "Hope" pile. However, my "Hope" pile contains 99% of my information and my "Despair" pile contains only 1%. Problem is, that 1% is our confirmed Tara dies spoiler.

My brain keeps saying "Reversal, reversal, reversal. It's the ONLY thing that makes sense!" But my poor, overly attached heart is going, "GULP!"

I'm choosing to rely on my brain for this one.

a week or two ago someone mentioned little willow as a possible source of spoilers, and the immediate, unanimous reply was that LW is spoiler free and wouldn't share such info even if she had it.

i guess this now means that, in light of the recent big spoilers involving tara, she's decided to jump on the spoiler bandwagon?

I am so annoyed, I can't believe they could leave her out, they mentioned she was Willow's girlfriend once and that was it!!
Ridiculous ... and then they showed a shot of the cast having their picture taken whilst cutting the cake for Buffy's 100th episode The Gift ... everyone was holding the knife apart from Amber - she was just stood on the end ... I can't stand the 2nd rate citizen attitude myself, when are they going to have some respect????

I hope they make it up to her and put her in the credits for season 7 - yes I think she'll live!!!

Who know april? One side reckons she's fiercely spoiler free and the other seems to assume she has a direct link to everything that's going on.

Me? Well I tend to think that there's a lot of assumptions made about who knows what and who is close to whom that doesn't mean jack, quite frankly.

So there are major changes in Season 6? Wow. Who knew? You don't have to be a rocket scientist to figure that one out. Sigh.

Little Willow has said before that she is spoiler free about somethings and in the know about others...tho it is extremely rare that she reveals spoilers this could be one of those times as everyone has been freaking out about the possibility of Amber leaving

LW has never been a source of spoilers, frankly her words don't comfort me. There was certain someone here who used to post who could perhaps shed some light on Amber's side of things, interesting how what we heard before about the situation from her doesn't gel with what we know now. ok, i'll go on being cryptic, I like it.

If it's the same person I'm thinking of I thought what she said did fit. Wasn't along the lines of something like "think of what Joss does to all relationships on Buffy." Then everyone here freaked a bit, but eventually calmed down.

You go xita!

And can I just add that even a certain someone who used to post here didn't know the full score.

This is the rationality folks - Amber, like the rest of the cast, knows which side her bread is buttered. Meaning that however many friends she has (no matter how dubious those friendships might be) she's hardly going to tell them everything that happens. She's not. No way. We know that often the cast don't get to find out what's happening until late, so why should they then blab to their friends? Particularly friends who are known members of an internet community with a vested interest in Willow/Tara?

Sorry. I just don't buy it.

I only ever rely on the known spoiler bringers. I don't care if Amber's mother posted here and told us things would be alright. There is no one person who knows things. If someone says they're unequivocally spoiler free, but then claims to know what's going to happen during Season 6, then they're not spoiler free, are they?

Bah. I just get a little pissy when people put all their eggs in one basket. Cuz you know what? Until we know for sure, we don't know jack. And that goes for those who have a supposedly "special" relationship with Amber.

But I'm not going to get started on that...

Reminds me of a quote from Amber about just how not within the realm of possibility it was that she would ever let slip any information that hadn't been pre-approved by Joss. I think she used the word "evisceration" as the punishment Joss would hand down; and she said she wasn't about to set herself up for that...

Well certain person said Amber would be on Ripper and now we can see why that wouldn't work out if things stayed the way things are. And you know what else, w/t will get back together. There was an implication that things were too far gone for Tara to forgive Willow and yet she did, so I am going to guess that a lot of that was conjecture.

The other thing is that Amber did say in an interview that she has had to lie to her friends because they are buffy fans and she is not allowed to reveal plot. So for what that is worth, there you go.

Good lord, I knew it. I sat right here and said to my gf, "I shouldn't even post this because LW stuff seems to rile people up for some reason." But I did it because it was something new. What else do we have to do right now? Oh, that's right, be miserable. I personally don't care who has a "special" relationship with whom. I worked in entertainment journalism for seven years. Stars and starfuckers don't dazzle me. I'm also keenly aware of how the media/celeb/TPTB triangle works. I used to be part of the triangle. I know that Amber can't let anything slip and I know LW claims to be unspoiled and I know LW is hardly known as a spoiler source. Still, if she spoke to Amber just once this year, it is more than most of us have spoken to her, so...I posted her new comments. I kind of figured everyone here was grown up enough to draw their own conclusions about them.

I know Tara could very well stay dead. I'm appropriately worried. But I also know it's well within the realm of possibility that Tara could come back. I'm choosing to be hopeful, because my other options aren't as attractive (and may be wholly unnecessary in the end).

But whatever...

This now concludes what is only my second outburst in my six months at the Kitten. I apologize in advance. Sigh.

AnGelX has already said these spoilers are wrong, and I believe her.

And on a related note re: Marti and the direction of S6... (time for a rant, and I apologize in advance)

Let's remember a few things. Marti is not Joss, so please don't expect her to sound or behave like him in interviews. She IS Joss's right hand on this show. Even so, Joss is her boss and she must answer to him. He has final say on the show's direction. If Joss doesn't like what Marti has done, he'll fire her. Nothing has been done during S6 without his approval, and the overall theme was (probably) created by him over a year ago. I for one am withholding all judgement until the credits roll on Ep. 22.

Also, I am a major spoiler ho but there have not been any spoilers for over a week now. Just a lot of speculation and, sorry to say, fanfic ideas about the end of S6.

I don't want to sound angry, but it sounds like too many people have dumped over Marti and ME without getting the final word, and as much as I dislike Wanda of late, today's posted interview has a very valid point. It's a show. One we are invested in for several reasons, the main on this board which is our love of Willow & Tara. We watch because we love them. But please remember that their characters, while fleshed out by Amber & Aly, were originally created by Joss and the writers at ME. Joss delights in this show, and so did we. Yes, did. It sounds like people don't anymore. Why? Based on what little spoilers we have, and a huge dose of speculation of things that we have no control over.

So let's sit back, enjoy the ride to end of S6, then we can disseminate at will and decide then whether:

a) we are happy with how everything turned out; and

b) whether we will continue to watch.

Rant over. Sorry. Just needed to get it off my chest.

See that's my problem though:

For Marti Noxon..it's not just a show..it's her job and I can't believe that her job is to insult, humiliate and otherwise disrespect the fans of the show in such a harsh manner.

If Marti had been as crude and thoughtless with W/T..wouldn't we all be pissed off?

Her job is to write and create the show. Not to come and tell the fans to get over something and that they're immature children..

And I'll second that. Buffy is Joss' baby through and through; and I rather think he'd pull the plug entirely before he would ever allow this show to become anything other than what he fully intends it to be. Any doubters only need to look back as far as "The Body" to know just how vehemently he feels about that.

The "problem" with Season 6, if there is a problem at all, is that by turning the focus from external demons to internal demons, there was (and is) a huge risk that so much of the message will fly right over a whole lot of people's heads. More people than usual, that is. Talk about opening a huge can of worms, what with all the unavoidable amibiguities and "shades of gray" that wreak havoc with all our own better judgments and on-going attempts to just "grow up." So much easier it would be if all we ever had to do was stake a vamp, or face down a hellgod, if that's all there was to accomplish the task of growing up.

Yes, there have been many mixed messages planted throughout the season. Intentionally, I'd wager. Not to mention a whole lot of heretofore unmatched angst that at times borders on heavily-laced oppression and downright depression. And that has proved frustrating, to say the least, especially for those of us who prefer our "monsters" to be more clearly defined....and a lot easier to challenge and eventually conquer. We like that sort of "guarantee" that we can just cut to the chase and be assured that the good guys win out in the end.

But guess what? That's not the way it works with growing up. "Answers" are rarely so forthcoming, choices are never so cut-and-dried, the "demons" are hardly ever so clearly defined, and there is no finish line to cross where you finally get to excuse yourself from participating any longer. Contrary to what Xander said in Hell's Bells, you are NEVER All. Growed. Up.

Now I'm not saying that ME has succeeded in what they set out to accomplish with this season. I don't think it's fair to judge this season until the whole season has played out. But I do have to hand it to them for even attempting to tackle this season's theme. A lesser creative group and show would never even have considered it, much less set themselves up for such a risk-laden challenge, IMHO.

There is one other aspect of all this that, whether ME intended it to happen or not, certainly seems to have transpired....and that is that the audience has become just as much a part of this season's theme as the characters in the show themselves. I won't get into the Spuffy spoilage, or even the Xanya speculation, because, really, all that stuff doesn't hold a candle to our concern for Willow and Tara. We've seen our girls spend most of this season apart and miserable, which, in turn, has left us feeling quite miserable; and now, just when they're finally being reunited, and we're starting to feel like we've gotten past all that misery and all is finally about to be made right in the world again, we're faced with our worst fears -- a dead Tara and an Evil Willow. How many of us don't feel dead inside and more than just a little like spewing evil venom in the direction of ME over this?

I'm not saying what I'm about to suggest was intentional on ME's part, but I'm not saying it wasn't either. Hey, I'd never underestimate Joss. But here we are chewing ourselves up inside over our most basic insecurity with regards to Willow and Tara...that they would never be allowed to last in Buffyverse. Here we are doubting everything we've seen and come to believe on the show up to this point, and everything we've been told by Joss, Marti, et al, over the course of the past two years that should make us believe that Willow's and Tara's is indeed a True Love that will survive and continue despite whatever badness they will have to overcome along the way. Here we are still fearing very, very deeply that it will all be taken away from us. Sound familiar much? Anybody not fully in empathy mode with what Willow's struggles have been like for her this season? Yes, it's been easy for some of us to sit back and second-guess her storyline; I mean, how could Willow possibly think that Tara wouldn't still and always love her, regardless of her magical abilities or her fear that, without it, she's "just plain old (and therefore unlovable) Willow." Why couldn't she just take a step back and see just how much Tara really, truly loves her? It's so obvious, we say...she could have avoided so much pain and anguish for them both if she'd only realized what was right there in front of her face the whole damned time.

But it's rarely so obvious when you're right in the middle of it; and it's harder still to take that necessary step back to more objectively consider who and where you are, how you got there, and what you really are prepared to do and believe in if you're sincere about seeing things through to "right" again. What seems to be and what really is...the differences can be wafer-thin, or gaping chasms apart. But the first step across is always a leap of faith...

I, for one, still have faith...They. Will. Always. Find. Each Other.

Edited because I had to run to catch a bus and didn't have time to proof-read earlier...and then just skrewed it up again.

But ya know, I think it's the context that LW used that makes a difference. She didn't just say that there were going to be big changes in season six -- cause like tommo said -- duh!

LW said that season three was still her favorite, but "there are things coming up in Season Six that will change everything."

Which implies to me, and I realize that my opinion is not, sadly, the axis upon which the universe rotates ,that the coming events in six may cause LW to decide season six is her new favorite.

LW doesn't know me from a jar of Vicks, nor I her, but from what I've read about her she doesn't seem to be the 'lovin' the unremitting horror' type -- and she surely seems fond of Tara/Amber and Willow/Aly ... and I am taking a very long time to say that I think this is a extremely positive sign that the end of the season is going to rock. Both for those of us who love the angst -- and for those of you who love the happiness when all is said and done.

Sshhhhh. don't tell anyone, but I like that part too. After all, how can you have decent hurt/comfort without the comfort?

If I'm not mistaken I have seen almost the exact same phrase from either Joss, Marti or Fury (or one of the other biggies at ME) ages ago. Now I don't save quotes or things that come from Camp ME, but I am almost positive I have seen those very words from someone else before.

Does anyone else remember seeing this before?

What I am getting at is that this information is not new nor enlightening. So what's the big deal?

Well, the worst part of it to me is that everything is playing out exactly like people have been expecting for months or even years. How long have people been saying Anya would become a vengeance demon again? How long have people been saying Tara would be killed off? How long have people been saying Willow would go all dark-magicky?

It's like the writers spent a couple of weeks reading USEnet posts before they put this season together.

Regarding:

In a response to what Little Willow posted on her board "But there are things coming up in Season Six that will change
everything. "

I really am starting to believe this comment. A bunch of us on another board have been discussing 'Restless' and The Wizard of OZ. Has anyone here considered that Sunnydale might have shifted during the season finale of Season 5? The portal was opened for quite a while. What if the Sunnydale we are currently viewing is not the real Sunnydale, just a different dimension of Sunnydale?

What if this season is a metaphorical Wizard of OZ, where the scoobies are trying to find their way back home as they follow the 'yellow brick road'? Each one of them needs to find within themselves something they have had all along and use it to find their way home.

First a few facts:

Hinton Battle, the actor that played Sweet starred in the original production on Broadway as the Scarecrow in the 'Wiz'.

Dawn's shirt number 55. The 5th episode of the 5th season is called "No Place Like Home". In this episode, Buffy does a 'vision' spell to pull aside the curtain and reveal Dawn's true non-existance.

In Wrecked, after the house fell down with Buffy/Spike, Buffy says: 'When did the house fall down?' and "Shoe, need my shoe."

Buffy in OMWF: "Nothing's really real, nothing's really right"

Spike to Xander in Normal Again: "King of the big exits, heard you brought the house down."

Here are some initial guesses on the cast:
Dorothy: Buffy
Tin Man: Spike
Scarecrow: Willow
Lion: Xander
Wicked Witch of the West: Amy
Glinda: Tara
Toto: Dawn
Witch of the East: Anya

The flying monkeys: The Troika
The Wizard: Sweet

Now, if the scoobies need to 'GO HOME', what needs to happen? They need to face the wizard and Dawn needs to pull the curtain back.

If this happens, we may see the reverse of the Wizard of OZ, they will need to be in the house and 'assume crash positions'.
See Restless for this information:

GILES: (dubbed in french) The others have all gone ahead. Now listen carefully. Your life may depend on what I am about to tell you. You need to get to ---- the house where we're all sleeping.

Food for thought will all the horrible spoilers. I am really beginning to believe this is what they have in mind, although I keep changing the names in the cast around. If all of this does happen, we will have an excellent season 7 and everyone will be alive.

No, Ruth, I was actually referring to everyone, just like I said. That includes all the self-proclaimed bitter folks and all of those supposedly carrying all their eggs in one basket. I hold no personal feelings about LW one way or another. It was a link. Nothing more, nothing less. Of course, I'm still holding out for more information! I'm optimistic but I'm no fool!

Now, onto something much more important...I just finished reading the latest chapter of your fic. Very nice. Despite your legendary status in "nether categories" that shant be mentioned, I believe your true gift is beautifully descriptive narrative. Sigh.

Peace?

Now back to our regularly scheduled spoiler thread...here spoiler, spoiler, spoiler...
