ok, I know this will sound stupid, but what's hammering the server? I read a message on the main page of Buffy Eps and the person who runs it left a message there saying hammering the site would result in ban. I got the dictionary to see if I could find some other meaning to the word, but I didn't... and since I'm always having troubles to download fromt here, I think maybe I did that and had no idea!

Hammering the server means trying constantly to download a part, even though server is being overloaded with request to download it elsewhere.
It results in the server going in to virtual melt down & crashing.

About your encode J. We both used the same VCD with our files, and I checked both out. Your audio quality is better than mine but my video quality is better. I usually like better video more since the audio sounds fine for me, the only difference is I have to louder the computers volume. You really can't do anything to improve the video's quality though.

Whatever you like better is the better one to get for you downloadee's (that's not a word)

Oh that is rather amazing, those are some damn interesting personality disorders you come across, and these people watch this show just like we do.

I wonder what they are like in real life, you provide a *free* service and they would fuck it up rather than say thank you. I think these are the kind of people that will you sue you if you save their lifes but mess up their pretty clothes or something.

Anyway, I was not going to watch any more episodes until W/T would be officially together again, but I finally cracked and downloaded Older and Far Away, I could not wait any longer, being W/T deprived was making me *very* cranky. I loved it, the quality was great, thank you all.

ok, can I just butt in to ask all of you wonderful people who takes the time and effort to make episodes available for people not to care about these idiots? It's unbelievable how people mistake a favor for a obligation! It's like they think this is a service they're paying for, so they have the right to demand anything!!

I'm not sure if this has been talked about, cuz i'm not about to read 35 pages of postings but i've got all the episodes in good quality avi's. some are around 200 megs, while from season 4 on are 'bout 350 - 400 megs.

i know some people shun this because its copyrighted, etc etc. but i'm more than willing to share with anyone who want's 'em.. as long as they've got Cable/DSL.

I have to say, even though it sometimes takes a while to download episodes, especially if they are located on Angelfire, it still works, and I´m sooooo glad to have that service provided by you. Please, don´t get too annoyed by that kind of emails, those people don´t have a life.

I have an idea. write the 'nice person' back and tell him that you will be happy to help but he will need to provide you with the IP addresses of everyone that he needs tp have access to the download. Tell him that you have recorded his ip address and will be amending your site accordingly.

If he is actually stupid enough to give you all of the above, let me know. There's ways to block folks from ever coming near your site again.
