If I known that was the reward for answering first correctly I would have tried.

Okay next lesson, left has four letters, port has four letters, port wine is red. So the left side of the ship is the port side and has a red light. The otheer side is the starboard side and has a green light.

Gypsyfoot, you've just won yourself a promotion to the rank of Lieutenant, and I'm putting you in charge of training all midshipmen. Congratulations, here are your epaulets and your big hat with the feather.

Oh bugger - someone (Katharyn) finally asked a question I knew the answer to (Helpless?) and I wasn't logged on, and by the time I was, someone else had already answered it (two someone else's actually).

Can I come aboard and scrub something down or do I have to swim behind?

oooh look!!!!! I'm a floating rose!!!!

Welcome aboard Wizpup!! Glad to have you with us.

[picks up Wizpup, hands over a towel and a clean, dry uniform.]

Katharyn the penguins are tropical penguins . . . the flying variety. I know, people say 'its unnatural!!' but they say the same about me and I get by ok!! Besides, we're a bunch of spoiler free ho's on a sailing ship which used to be a trench. I don't think we can legitimately look down on the strangeness of penguins.

Lt. Gypsyfoot struts around wearing his new epaulettes and white hat with plume.
Pleased that the hat is white in case seagulls overhead decide to use it for target practice.
SEAGULLS,really seagulls!! This is good because seagulls are shore birds, as the sun sets they head for the nearest land to roost. This means if you are sailing a ship or swimming because you fell overboard just follow the seagulls to the beach.
Cap?n Kerry, Field Marshall Kathryn and everyone else be prepared to be spoiled tomorrow.

Gee you go for days without people wanting a question (or maybe they were too hard) and now everyone wants to answser it because they think they can skip an exam or earn a promotion... whatever happened to doing it for the fun of it?*S*

Okay, it is not Saturday but I suspect that between the feel of sand between our toes, hula girls between our... between us and the ship and food other than seagull surprise we might be occupied this weekend so here is another question... a Willow one this time!

In which episode does Willow (first I forget if she did it again?) stake a vampire by magical means and where was she at the time?

There you go... another easy one and the observant amoungst you will be noticing a pattern to these questions...

Katharyn

BTW Let me just take this opportunity to apologise to any people who write for Pens and also read this thread... I am not responding to alot of the new stuff on that board but I am trying to remain unspoiled for S6 as much as I can... I will get to your works later and your fics shall rise as phoenix's from the depths of the board...

As lieutenant in charge of training Hanki you are now a midshipman (above the regular crew but not yet an officer). For traditions sake the title of midshipman will remain rather than the PC title of midshipperson.
A few words to all before we dock. Maui is the second largest island it the Hawaiian archipelago (no that does not mean singing without music, that is a Capella).
Those large animals you see swimming around are hump back whales ( now you are teasing me, that doesn?t mean they are half whale and half camel). These waters are where they mate and give birth this brought the whalers in the late 19th century. Thankfully these mammals are no longer hunted for their oil, but the whalers did leave behind some nice ports for docking.
Maui has several climates which will be discussed later. Yes I am aware I should have said climatic zones but that takes me to naughty places with my new feather.

Geez you give someone a feather and they take the whole blooming turkey!

Lt Gypsyfoot... there is a slightly tricky problem in that we don't actually have a crew and everyone else has been promoted rapidly! Bascically Captain Kerry runs the whole ship and when she is unavailable we just sail in circles till she comes back... it seems the safest way to go to avoid the mutant warm water penguins that she assures us are out there.

Play your cards rigth Hanki and you could be an Admiral in days! That is the way things tend to work round here...

And yes the answer is correct. Obviously they are far too easy and I shall ratchet it up appropriatly...

In which episode did Willow get all (inappropriatly) excited about an issue of the magazine "Scientific American" and why?

I confirm your appointment Hanki. [hands hanki a small cap with a little feather] Assigns the new middy to keep watch from the crows nest.

I'll leave the navigation in these waters to you Gypsyfoot, you seem to know your way around. Besides, this ship should be able to sail perfectly well without me at the helm. Can you show me the volcanoes? And btw, who said the penguins were mutant? They're just rare, and shy. lol

Someone expects me to say I don't need the whole turkey, I am a breast man. However this maybe a tom so I will not fall into that trap.

We need lots of people answering Field Marshall Katharyns' questions so we know how many unspoiled we have aboard. [hint: Cordy may loose her head over this]

Lt. Gypsyfoot looks up at the crows nest and waves to Midshipwoman Hanki. Damn I said she was above the regular crew I didn't know it would be 30 feet tho.

Obviously the good Lieutenant has got the question but was good enough to leave it for someone else too which is nice in a superior "I got it first" kind of way! Just kidding...

Are we anywhere near those volcanos yet? For some reason I'm feeling somewhat warm, although there is an unusual breeze blowing in the lower quarters.

Edited to wonder why we are maintaining the military ranks? I haven't seen a ho in an age and the trebuchet is currently home to a small flock of gulls.

Sorry Katharyn,

I really shouldn't tease the crew, but a Captain has got to get her jollies occasionally.

I like this Hawaii stuff, nice views, good food, lots of sunshine and sand, almost like home.

We really should make a raid on the spoiler threads again. They seem to be in dire need of cheering up. Any suggestions? A panty raid perhaps? Or bombardment with goodies? We need a plan!

And someone else with a question YAY!

Someone else posting in the thread DOUBLE YAY! Welcome back PW!! - I forget what rank you were... just make something up.

I remember this! Jenny Calendar tells Giles she went to Burning Man in "When She Was Bad." (Season 2, Episode 1) Here's the quote for everyone:

Giles: How was your summer?

Jenny: Extreme. I did Burning Man in Black Rock, ohhh, such a great festival, you should've been there. They had drum rituals, mobile sculptures, raves, naked mud dances, you would've just... hated it with a fiery passion!

Sorry if this seems a bit out of it, but I haven't had a chance to read all the bits. Been a bit out of it myself. Been through damn, Hell and custard. Still spoiler free, though, although I seem to be noticing a much greater selection of Will/Tara kissage going on here!
Does anyone know where you can part exchange a family? Only kidding.

Have to say, it's good - and I mean of the rip snorting, swinging from the trees, with the wind whistling through one's armpits kind - to be back. Missed this. God. Turned into a sentimental fool. Need to go off to find the lick of a cat.
