BUt you got a fic out of it Hanki, which is always a good thing. If you are only spoiled to the extent shown in that then you are doing okay... I picked up more than that just trying to avoid the spoilers *SIGH* Nice fic by the way... the only S6 one I have read.

Oh you would not believe the new spoilers for Wrecked, oh man, I really admire your restraint for not running to the complete spoiler thread.
I should stay unspoiled. Really I should, but I have no willpower and I'll never reach level 10 if I steer clear of spoilers.

It isn't easy to be spoiler free, I've had my brushes with having my ears open at the wrong time. I just let it go in one ear and out the other and then wrap it all up in a SEP field. (Somebody Elses Problem, lol) I think my greatest real temptation is to listen to the cd a friend made for me of all the songs off the musical. I have it tucked away at the bottom of a two metre high pile of books so that giving into temptation will require real effort.

The ship has been anchored at the Galapagos Islands for long enough. We have turtles coming from far and wide to check put the kitties frolicing in the sunshine. As I don't wish to be a permanent tourist attraction we're hoisting sail and heading off through the Pacific. If anyone has any requests for a destination, now is the time to mention them.

Can't miss Hawaii can we Cap'n?

Besides I am sort of looking forward to the Hula dancers... Might take your mind off the spoilers... which is kind of the point.

Just to note that a post in another thread had a unconfirmed date of Jan 10th for Sky starting S6 in UK.

They say fresh sea air is good for you, I wish I could smell it. (sigh)

Hawaii it is. I always wanted to visit the volcanoes there. The hula dancing is also a definite plus.

[thinks about getting Katharyn and Ruth and Hanki in grass skirts and watching them dance, . . . Dr G can sit by me. lol]

Leaps off dock , swims frantically out to ship and ascends Jacobs ladder hanging over the side
Cap?n Kerry, Field Marshall Kathryn and anyone else interested. You may wonder why, as your sailing master, I had left you in docked in the Galapagos Islands for so long.
First, lack of response to games proposed by the Field Marshall and myself. Also that guinea is still nailed to the mast, no one has tried to come up with something interesting to do.
Second, I read a post by the Cap?n saying s/he gave up. I thought s/he meant on being spoiler free, when in reality she meant on a question posed by Kathryn.
While waiting for someone to make a suggestion for entertainment I watched the turtles of course and the birds. Do you the Galapagos are the home of the blue faced booby ? This being a refuge I was unable to determine if boobies lay sassy eggs.
When I went ashore few people were posting, now it looks as if every one has begun posting again which is to the good.
So we are headed to Hawaii with swaying palm trees and grass skirts. A luau is also to the good.

Thanks Forrister, me dancing as well would sorta ruin the visual anyway.

Oh and Ruth?....Downtown.

I know that was way too easy, but I couldn't help myself.

Woohoo! 1057.5 hours to go to Bargaining (based on rumoured start date) and I am still spoiler free for the season... well except for the unavoidable broad sweep of the W/T arc but who could miss that on this board?

I am removing the Guinea from the mast and using it to buy a hula skirt for Kerry at the next port of call. Call it a present... even though it was your money dear.

Everyone wish Kerry well as she is down with a cold and operating under the influence of fizzy drinks and Sudafed. I am temporarily sending her to the brig which has been redone as a hospital so we don't all come down with it, but it is a nice brig with all the rum you can drink and 24 hour TLC... with 24 visiting too. Get well soon Kerry!

Get well soon Kerry!! I think i should go down to the brig-turned-hospital too cuz i have almost lost my voice and you wouldn't wanna catch my tonsilitus/larangitus thingy would you?? (oh and sorry i can't spell either of those)

as for the hula dancing only if you join in Cap'n, lol.

I am sure that I could get an answer to this in a Spoiler Thread but they are a spoiler thread afterall... I am curious - how do the Buffy eps air (other series in first run) in the US? Over here in blighty it is just one a week every week for 22 weeks (darts and snooker allowing!) and that is the way it has always worked for all TV. I am aware though the US that there are mid-season haitus's and times when there are weekly repeats before new eps air. Clearly this is all to do with maximising revenue and audience share but if anyone has time could you just satisfy my curiousity as to just what happens and the theory behind it?

And I will throw another quiz question into the mix being as it went down like a sack of potatoes last time! Who, in "Lovers Walk" (which I watched last night hence no W/T question) is the vocalist that Spike is singing along to just before the credits roll. And for a clue there is a tenuous link to the genre...

Looks around and finds herself in the brig.

Thinks to self - fire bad, tree pretty.
Thinks to self - fire pretty, tree gone.

Checks the mug on the table, sniffs . . . can't smell a thing. Tastes . . . rum?
If you love me please don't feed me rum.
Rolls over, pulls a blanket over her head and goes back to sleep.

Spike is singing along to Sid Vicious (which i unfortunately cannot spell) but i know cuz i like the Sex Pistols.
Yay go me i got a question, lol

Aww, don't want the rum?? how about some nice... vodka?? coke?? orange juice?? *rumages around in the cupboard* and we have a little bit of beer too. does that make it better???

Urr, sorry Hanki but only sort of right. Actually the vocalist is Gary Oldman, who starred in Sid and Nancy from which that version of the song came from. The tenuous genre connnection being that Gary Oldman of course played Drac in Francis Ford Coppola's... sorry... Bram Stokers Dracula.

Got my Sky installed today... woohoo! Hot and cold Buffy goodness on tap...

Okay so the rum is not a hit - and of course we love you Kerry. Bang goes tradition. In that case I shall switch the supplies to Whisky with honey (you know how hard it is to keep bees on a ship?), lemon and hot water for medicinal purposes - Grapefruit juice to stip your throat of the scuz and water to purify your system.

Doctor Field Marshalls Orders.

Get better dear.

Thank you for your TLC. I am feeling a bit better, but I might just kip down here for a bit until I get some bounce back. Still, nothing to stop you from visiting is there?

Oi I just checked what you lot have been up to! Me ... in a grass skirt!!! Don't be ridiculous. I can't go around scaring small children and chickens. I'll wear a floral shirt but nobody gets me out of my trews. (Unless they're very nice to me first. lol)

Glad to know the Captain is back with us, take your time Kerry these circles we are going in are not making me dizzy at all.

Ok, I can take a hint.

[Takes the wheel and points out that there is no clutch on a sailing ship.]

You should also realise that we won't be going far unless we raise the sails. So hoist all sails, trim the t'gallants and lets set off for Hawaii, presuming that we aren't too far off course.

Oh and a warning, the first person who tries to de-bag the Captain will get keelhauled, or fed chipped spam, whichever is more convenient.

Out of respect for the passing of a great musician the flag will be lowered to half mast for the day. Black armbands will be available for all crew members who wish to wear one. There will be Beatles music piped through the ship today.

[Dons a black armband and remembers]

In the interests of education I am starting a training program for all hands in ship operation and basic navigation. All crew members may choose to participate except for Katharyn for whom participation is mandatory. (You squeeks I does summat! lol)
At the end this course all unranked crewmen who pass will be promoted to Midshipmen.

I got seamanship down pat... "Thataway" works for me.

Now that I have stopped looking for the clutch, handbrake and realised that the turning circle on this beast is about 5 miles I am doing just fine.

Infact with all this big blue ocean there I can even have a sleep!

Okay it is Saturday and that means question time once more... In which episode does Quentin Travers first appear and what is his significant contribution to the story arc in that ep?
