That's... odd. None of them look as though they're really standing there - perhaps these are the new cardboard stand-up things, arranged to look like a group pic?

And Inserted-Giles just looks silly.

Still, good pic otherwise. SMG suits that hair, although big agreement with everyone who's said she's going for the Ally McBeal look...

I agree, none of them look particularly real. I’m not horribly impressed by their photographer. The lighting is also strange giving everyone pale or pink skin tones. Oh well. It’s nice to see everyone (well, except ASH, since he is clearly a cutout) together again.

Only 32 more days until we get to see the REAL THING!

i like the cast pic too... although i agree with the cardboard-looking thing...

also... james marsters just looks adorable! amber's gorgeous as always and, as much as i love aly's tattoo's... you'd think they'd make more of an effort to cover them... oh well, definitely cast pics and not character pics. and the hair... the aly hair... it's growing on me... almost a shame that it's not gonna be like that on the show...

The group picture looked like one of those taken against a blue background, with the scenery added in later.

The pic of Amber is sassy...hands on hips. She looks like an Emma Peel if ever I saw one. Heh heh. Nice though.

Aly's hair is kinda odd. It threw me off at first, but on the other hand I kind of like it. It just takes getting used to. I see Spike has gone in favor of a slightly more rumpled, less built-in hard hat hairstyle this year. (Though I have to say, mine's like that when I've put off a haircut for too long, and I keep thinking it could save my life one day.) Anya looks quite serious, as does Buffy, and Dawn . . . wow, that girl's going to grow up to be quite the looker . . .

The entire group pic looks weird. It seems as if each actor was posed seperately and Industrial Light & Magic was called in to make a group shot. Nicky standing behind Emma looks three times her size while ASH looks totally wrong. Notice how James, Amber and Nick are standing on tires but none is visible for Tony. Even if it was hidden by Alysons' dress, he wouldn't be that tall. And while I'm on the subject just why is everyone standing on tires in the first place????

Maybe the whole thing is an elaborate ruse to tell us Buffy is not dead. Buffy is alive. Paul is dead.

Edited to add, I just went and looked at the EW pictures and the one of ASH is exactly the photo used here. All kidding aside, it looks like Tony was'nt in the actual group photo and his publicity pic was doctored to stick him in the group shot.

Ms. Benson and Ms. Hannigan both look AMAZING! (as usual of course ) The Xander pic looks a bit Season 2ish - not that that's a bad thing... I like the shorter hair cut. Everyone just looks sooooo great. I'm just so happy!

The group shot does look a bit strange, but oh well I really like the hairstyles SMG and Aly have in that photo, I think it suits them. The blonde in Aly's hair just strikes me as like a witchy thing, like those stereotype witches you see with the dark hair and white streaks through them, like that. But I like it

I don't think so, and that is a good point Gypsyfoot. She was a part of the cast as much as the rest, but I guess having mom in the pic isn't cool, heh.

And uhm, maybe we should give SMG a break? It would not be nice if we read posts saying Amber looked too skinny or too fat, same principle. I don't really like these pics of her, but I blame the photographer, although if he/she took the one of AMber as well, all is forgiven.

THANK you, Dr. G! I'm so sick of Sarah being attacked about her weight. She's extremely short, she doesn't eat dairy, and sushi is her favorite food (I think). That combonation plus being an incredibly hard working actress with an insane schedule is bound to make you thin. I think she looks gorgeous no matter what, and I thought she was much thinner in late S4. It looked like she gained weight by the time S5 rolled around and she looked beautiful; I think she looks just as good now.

And I know that not everyone's going to like these pics of her--I don't like her individual pic, mostly because of the makeup and shirt, but I do love the shot of her in the cast pic--but it's just become so commonplace to criticize her weight and I think it's wrong.

I guess I feel kind of maternal in this. Working that kind of schedule that she does in addition to not having good health habits (if that is the case) is capable of making Sarah sick. I guess I am kind of worried about how unhealthy she is beginning to look,
especially with the schedule that she maintains.

However, I am a thin, small person who for most of my life was what some would call abnormally skinny. I guess I should empathize more with Sarah but more of the time I end up being worried about her.

I guess you could say that about person who are seriously overweight. Like take someone like Camryn Manheim or Melissa McCarthy and you could say that you were jsut worried about their health. But I think both of those women are beautiful and seem to have a lot of energy. But I don't feel the same way about Sarah, maybe because I did struggle with underweight issues for a while because of financial/social issues. I guess it's NOMB but I just wonder if she's healthy or not, like I would about anyone.

Other than the skinniness, she does look good in the enw picture.
