What you all seem to have overlooked here is the NEED to take the sample data from live subjects. Taped data is not accurate enough given the graininess of the film. We will have to inspect lips and tongues and amount of spital produced by each person. I say with get them do re-do all 400+ kisses infront of a select panel. Now DrG I am willing to allow you to lead the panel, just don't get greedy. Research is also part of my job.

Hi - well, I'm not Bothered but hell, I've been taking beginner's German for a few months now so... :-)

Unless my brain has melted (which isn't that unlikely) it means "You are very beautiful."

that's why i love this board... LOL!

talking abt spit-exchange between W/T is our top priority so the longer they kiss (1,000 x 10 to the 10th degree) the better chance we can get the answer to the Q of which spit came from which lips.

we don't only need a scientific team (of drooling kitties,) we also need the SWAT team to surround the area of the smoochies lab to make sure no one interrupts! heh.heh.

Alright, I just finished reading all the posts regarding the "Great Spit Debate" and decided to add my 2 cents. Now, after reviewing the data (Gods, if watching W&T kiss over and over again is considered research, then I wanna switch majors!

), I have concluded that they swapped saliva in the first couple of kisses as they locked lips. But, since Willow ended up basically sucking on Tara's lower lip, when they parted her lips kinda dragged a string of that mingled saliva with her. So, the results I came up with are kind of a combo of different arguments from other people. Of course, more research must be done to confirm this, though. *cough cough* Yes, much more research which I'm sure everybody would glady help participate in.

However, to get a little ranty, and apologies if this is being discussed already (which it probably is):

I've read that there are some little articles or mentions of "outraged parents--lebsian activity on TV!" Willow and Tara are not a sudden new couple. They've been an *official* couple since NMR--and they're just NOW bitching about it simply because, like people in love are known to do now and then, they KISSED? Our world is so ****ed up.

But, off my soapbox, it was a brilliant scene. Aly hasn't been that fantastic since NMR...no, she was better then she was in NMR. It was such a wonderful scene...I cry all throughout the episode, but when it sort of hits Willow that they have to be strong for Dawn too, I just break down. But Tara comforts her [rose]

Wow, I go away and I come home to a kiss like that, I couldn't have asked for more. And just as important was the I love you that Willow mouthed to Tara. Next time I want an I love you followed by a kiss, then I will be truly happy.

Garfield what can I say, I'm obsessed with this project.

The way I see it the project requires someone with the ability to stay cool, calm and collected in the face of overwhelming passion, completely objective in the face of intoxicating beauty and has the stamina to face hour after hour of endless Smoochies. The reality is that no living person can possibly face such a daunting task and succeed without the support of their fellow kitties.

Hello.
Just read something interesting at the Fanforum newsboard.
TVGuide Online interviewed Joss Whedon, who stated that, in fact, the WB were very reluctant to show the kiss, and asked him to delete it! JW had meeting with them and basically told them "It stays or I walk!". They then supposedly "reviewed" the final cut and decided to air it.

Hmmmmm......guess the WB isn't quite so enlightened as we'd like to think.
