Ok, that is way too much subtext for me! Giles/Buffy and a secret desire to tie her up? If you are going to look that deep then every episode must be a "den of iniquity" to you?!

Maybe you could start a naughty subtext thread related to those seeminly innocent lines that with a twisted mind suddenlt take on a whole new light...off topic of course as most people on this board will no doubnt have read everything they can in T/W stuff!

Maybe I should explain, me, Puff, Halcyon and Ruth were watching this ep together. When Giles said that, there was this brief moment of silence before we all burst out laughing, not because we believe in G/B subtext (we DON'T), but if you were to have an evil naughty streak (which none of us have) you could interpret it that way.
Believe it or not there are those that do apparently, fanfic has been written, brrrrr.

Ok, not into Buffy/Giles subtext at ALL, but...that line? Yeah, could be seen as kinda subtexty. Especially given Buffy's comeback about not having time for bondage fun.

Oh yeah,just watched the Willowhand scene again...I completely and unreservedly retract my previous statement about not seeing anything other than loving humour... I must have blinked!
