New Amber Interview..possible Spoilers

Yes, Joss is nuts about Tara, about Willow and Tara as a couple and about Amber Benson.
Everybody is just freaking out over nothing.
Of course I also was freaking out, but then I actually really thought about Amber's comments and about Joss's obvious attachment towards W/T as a couple and I just now am realizing how I was overreacting. I just rewatched 'The Body' and 'Family' last night ---> oh how I Love Willow and Tara, they are sooooo cute!!!!!! =)

I know I'm probably freaking out over nothing, but I can't seem to help it. I just don't want any W/T-related angst, rules of drama be damned. I want nothing but bedtime stories and constellation naming and tummy rubbing and SMOOCHIES.

Please?

New Amber Interview..possible Spoilers

One suggestion that I don't think has been mentioned here is that perhaps Glory tries to suck Tara's brain but FAILS because of Tara's
innate natural abilites. This does not make
Tara any less human but simply suggests she has mental faculities that Glory cannot take advantage of. The cohesiveness that makes the
human brain SANE is what she takes, well, perhaps Tara has an inner strength that is deeper than that and that Glory cannot take
away.

What would make this even more compelling is
if Tara did not know that she was immune to Glory's powers.

Okay, and one final word on this: I know how tempting it is to believe spoilers, but I go
to the TCAS and I see people swallowing every single thing that comes out of the mouth of
something that doesn't involve a random fan
with no basis, no context for the spoiler other than "I said so." A classic example of this is SSS and the Angel/Spike jealousy rumours that *everyone* believed, even though they made *no* sense and fit a little too patly with shipper fantasies. All this coming from a nonverifiable spiler source which is,
as I heard someone mention the other day, about as reliable as the guy who pumps the gas at the Chevron station. A random comment
based on an unverified report at a random
SMG board implied Joyce's demise, and even though that turned out to be true, it was based on something that was pretty much a shot in the dark from someone who said "it happened because I say that I heard it, even though I have no proof!" Similiarly I have heard reports that Juliet Landau would "only"
return to the Buffyverse if she appeared for a couple of episodes and was killed off - not based on any report from the woman herself "but because I heard so". And people are buying it already even thought there is *no* context for it. Juliet's appeared in five episodes (three Angel, two Buffy) and shows no signs of going away just yet. And just the other day someone on TCAS posted some ridiculous rumour that had the showdown between Angel, Darla, and W & H occurring in Sunnydale at the end of the season, never mind the big bads in Sunnydale at this time period.

So, I'm just saying, don't beleive everything you hear. Whatever happens happens and Joss
is not a predictable fella.

New Amber Interview..possible Spoilers

Ok, another scenario that would perhaps remotely seem possible... We've always seen Tara very protective of Dawn, right ? Right. So, let's say Glory somehow finds out the Key now has taken human form ; based on, oh say who's the latest addition to the Scooby Gang, or the fact that Tara handled the teleportation spell without even blinking, or maybe she can feel the power emaning from Tara ( I know, or, or, or - bare with me guys.) Anyway, Glory goes out on a limb and assumes Tara is the Key. The SCoobs hear about it, and decide it would be time to hide Dawn cause Glory's getting closer to the truth ; but here's the thing, maybe they need some sort of divertion, to distract the hellgod while they're fleeing - so Tara offers to 'occupy' Glory, hence the potential brain sucking and stuff. Or maybe Tara and Glory decide to bond, drive to Vegas and auditon as showgirls. With feathers and stuff. ( I'm sure Glory would be hired right away - come on, Ben in feathers, that's a winner on stage, I'm sure).

Rose, happily humming the mantra, and looking forward to the trademark Season finale angst...

Re: the Tara brain sucking rumours I am not overly concerned, as in the recent interview Amber said the fans where going to love episode 20, so I don't think it is going to bad for Tara (I hope).

Anyway we must remember the Mantra and keep in our hearts.

Tara and Willow forever.

Ok, guys. I think that we have to calm down here. A spoiler is not the truth. There's a lot of things that we said about Willow and Tara and these things never hapenned. I think that we have to trust Joss.
I know that Amber said that there was a "ru in". But it doesn't mean a death or a brain suckage or something. It's just mean that she's gonna be in contact with her. And even Amber said that the fans will love it so...

We also know that they ask to Amber to come back next season and i don't know for you, but i kind of like the idea of one of our girls being in a dangerous situation to see the reaction of the other. With a good end of course.

Is Amber taking it into her own hands to spice up her life? Either that or she wants to see how many kittens can combust at once.
Just trying to be positive, now chant with me 'Joss is nuts about Tara, Tara/Willow and Amber'...feel better?

Well here's a thought I had, and maybe some fuel to the speculation fire...I'm thinking should something happen to Tara, Willow would get very unreasonable and would be dramatically, the time that Oz would return. Maybe he'd show up on the prompting of the Scoobies to convince Willow not to go all vengeful. Just an evil "joss" thought I had.

Ok, probably gonna make myself sound really stupid on this one, but I'm not sure that one is so off base. One of the Angel writers (David Greenwalt, I think) apparently confirmed that the final three eps of Angel would not be in LA...that gang was gonna be leaving town for a bit. Now, no, that doesn't mean they'll necessarilly be going to Sunnydale, but something is up. And based on the fact that Buffy seems to be filming in not-the-usual spots as well, the idea that the stories might intertwine somehow doesn't seem all that nuts to me.

That's not even close to being confirmed, of course, and you're totally right about being skeptical. But it can be fun to speculate, especially if you keep in mind that it is speculation and not fact.

Not that I believe anything, but it wouldn't surprise me if ep 100 tried to have as many ex-cast member as possible. If the Angel crew (the characters) was in Sunnydale, it would make it easier for them to be on Buffy for that last ep.

I think he just meant the characters would be leaving LA, not that actors/crew. But I'm just going off other people's reports, so who knows how true it all is.

New Amber Interview..possible Spoilers

Postby Anyalvr » Sun Mar 18, 2001 12:33 pm

Okay, maybe the part about the end-season crossover wasn't as crazy as the rest of the rumours. Still, people that are hoping for the end of the seasons to be a big cross-show
spectacle are a bit off base, I am thinking.
Personally I can't stomach the part about the big evil law firm deciding that they're going to hightail it over to Sunnydale suddenly and have their showdown with Angel THERE just so
Buffy & co. can be involved in the action just for the purpose of a reunion. I don't see the stuff on Angel that has nothing whatsoever to do with Buffy, such as W & H,
just deciding to change their headquarters for no reason other than for Buffy and Angel to have a reunion. Oh, does anybody see what I mean?

I know that the writers said the last three
episodes or so wouldn't be in LA, but I don't see them hightailing it over to Sunnydale for the pure purpose of a reunion. Angel is a unique show with its own villains and it does not serve merely to be a sideshow to the action on Buffy - I mean, I don't think there's going to be a big two-hour finale where the casts of both shows come together
to fight the enemy on Buffy. Their paths may cross somehow, but I don't think Angel's purpose is to serve as second fodder to Buffy. They're seperate shows. I'm not explaining myself right. Does anyone understand what I'm getting at here? I mean, there are tons of characters on Angel - W & H, the Caritas host, Linsey, Lilah, Kate, Gunn -- that have no connection whatsoever to
Buffy. And I like it that way. Why should they forget the identity they have forged in order to serve as second pickle to what's going on at Buffy?

My point is just that all these rumours floating around, just because one source or another says so . . . it is NOT fact. It might happen, but it also might not. This is Joss, and he is evil, and that's all the more reasons to not believe every ridiculous rumour that comes along.

New Amber Interview..possible Spoilers

Postby tommo » Sun Mar 18, 2001 1:36 pm

I can't honestly see Joss killing off Tara. There's already been so much personal tragedy in the show that this would be the last nail in the coffin, so to speak.

Anyway, a run in with Glory only gives Willow more opportunity to show off her witchy powers. Throughout this season the emphasis has been on Tara trying to 'keep up with Willow'. Maybe this will give Willow the character arc that started in season 3.

And if Tara *does* go insane? Let's hope she gets all 'Dru'...hee hee..."the butterflies...the butterflies..."

Tara goes insane. Willow cries alot. (as in buckets!) she sees Dawn as the Key and knows how to open whatever door it leads to for Ben/Glory. but Buffy comes in at the end and destroys Glory (not Ben) and Ben (since he is a god) turns Tara back to sanity. and Willow and Tara end up with *vicarious smoochies.* heh.heh. pax

Perhaps Tara being insane would be the 'key' to Willow's unlocking of her own power?

Just a thought....and I know it's kind of cruel, but I *love* Aly doing crying, emotional scenes. She's so darn good at them.
