~~~~~~~~~~Tara was sitting in small house. She furrowed her brow a little as she read a letter, but she didn't know who it was from, of course she couldn't tell whose writing it was because the writing was different than anyone's she knew. She first thought it was Xander, or Anya, but it had bunnies on it. She shook her head slightly thinking to herself, *No way would Anya write me a letter..I mean, ..S-she doesnt really...have those emotions..you know...*
Tara silenlty put the letter in a box, which was full of cards that she kept getting everyday from someone. She couldnt quite get it yet, she was thinking to herself as she read the letter again:
Dearest Tara,
I need help. Something is wrong. I can't do this anymore ...I can't control this. It's hard, I'm sinking into the darkness. Cant you see that? I can't do this... I hope your doing good.
Sincerely,
Anonymous.
Tara was left in her suspicions as she silenlty walked over to the phone and called Buffy's house, to see who would answer. She was hoping it would be either Dawn or Willow, she didn't understand who was writing her these letters, but her blue eyes kept reading that one line, "I'm sinking into the darkness." She couldn't help but think it was someone who couldn't control what they where doing. Someone picked up the phone... it sounded like Buffy.
"Hello?" Buffy asked groggily, she could tell she had been sleeping.
"H-hi...Buffy. Um, s-someone... Oh, did I wake you? I'm sorry, m-maybe I should call back another time... yeah!" Tara said quickly, because she didn't exactly know how to ask to Buffy.
"No, no it's okay Tara. Just tell me who you need to talk to... or something, whatever you need to tell me... If you need to talk to someone who would know?"
Tara sighed quietly, thinking about how she should tell Buffy. So she gathered up her courage and just told her straight out. "Okay, I've been getting these letters everyday, and I don't know who exactly they're from. They keep signing anonymous. I mean, I have an idea, but... do you know who's sending me letters?"
Buffy looked up the stairs, she knew pretty well who was sending her the letters, ut she had promised that person that she wouldn't tell. So she decidedly answered, "No I dont, I'm really Sorry... I-"
Buffy was cut off by Tara's quiet tone. "You do know, y-you're hiding it. Aren't you? Please, Buffy...".
Buffy was afraid she might actually tell. "Look...umm, I have to go... call back...?"Buffy hung up quickly, without saying goodbye, leaving Tara in a slightly confused state.
Willow sat in her room, she had been listening to Buffys conversation. She knew that it was Tara who called, but she smiled to herself, knowing that Buffy wouldn't rat on her. Despite that, thoughts came back to her, *What if she comes and asks me? What if she finds out its me?! What do I say? Willow, stop being so nervous and be brave!! If she comes, let it out!!*
Willow walked downstiars, her red hair strands stuck to her face. She reached the bottom of the stairs and asked Buffy curiously, "Did she get, I mean, was she suspcious that it was me? I know... do you think she'll understand , who it's from? I mean... I've been sending her enough letters right?" Now Willow was getting worried. She cursed herself silently, *Just shut up and see what Buffy tells you!.*
Buffy looked at Willow and could tell she was very nervous and edgy. She put a hand on Willow's shoulder and she smiled. "She wasn't a bit suspicious, but I suspect you'll find another way to write your letters. Okay? So... think up some ideas and see what she does. You never know, she'll find out sooner or later, she'll understand!"
Buffy walked upstairs, leaving Willow still sitting on the bottom step. She grabbed a piece of paper and wrote down on it with cursive that was so fancy, no one would know it was from her:
Dear Tara,
I guess, you don't know who it is. But I know you'll probably figure it out if you just hear me out with what I have to say. I'm in danger, it's too addicting. I just don't understand, I get what I want then I loose it. I hope I'm telling you what you want to hear, I was there for you, I promised that I'd be there for you. I did all I could. I just wish you would understand that all I wanted to do was love you! I'm addicted, I'm falling into the dark, no one can save me, but I know your love can. Please, Tara.
Love always,
Willow.
Willow folded up the letter and put it in an envelope and put it in the mail box, to be sent to Tara's new house. That wasnt so big. She was smiling to herself, at least telling Tara that it was her. But now all she had to fear was if Tara would come and bite off her head, but that was all she needed to think. Or if it got lost in the mail...
part 2
Tara sat quietly on the couch again. She now had a slight feeling she knew who it was, but she just didn't know why this person just wouldn't come to HER and tell her how she needed help from her. She kept thinking though, You could have come to me, I would've helped you... I would have... She shook her head silently as she grabbed the mail, looking over the letters. She found another one, but this one was return-addressed to Buffy's house, and that's when she finally knew who it was. How can I be so ... so dumb? I should have known it would be Willow! She read the letter:
Dear Tara,
I guess, you don't know who it is. But I know you'll probably figure it out if you just hear me out with what I have to say. I'm in danger, it's too addicting. I just don't understand, I get what I want then I loose it. I hope I'm telling you what you want to hear, I was there for you, I promised that I'd be there for you. I did all I could. I just wish you would understand that all I wanted to do was love you! I'm addicted, I'm falling into the dark, no one can save me, but I know your love can. Please, Tara.
Love always,
Willow
Tara was completely shocked, a bit surprised, and partially angry. Just because Willow had to use the word dark when she knew she was talking about dark magick. She took out her notepad made haste to write her letter to Willow...
Dearest Willow,
I know. I know, I can't
Tara ripped the letter up, thinking it sounded stupid. She couldn't even get ONE sentence out. She slowly put her golden brown hair up in a high ponytail as she looked at her khaki jeans and her wolf T-shirt that she liked a lot, then sat back down again to think. Okay, I know how to start the letter... b-but how to finish it?! Goddess ... this... I'VE GOT IT. Tara started writing frantically, smiling when she finished, in sloppy writing, but at least she finished.
Dearest Willow,
I know you love me. I always will love you, no matter what. You're falling into the darkness because of the dark magick. I know you promised everything, and everywhere I am I still think about you, but the only way you... Well, I can try to help you with your problem... I think I can help. It is what I wanted to hear. Not everything has been taken away from you Willow, you have to look on the good side of things not the bad... I'll come by for a visit soon.
Love,
Tara
Tara closed the letter and licked the envelope closed as she beamed with happiness. She just wrote a long letter and it made complete sense to her. She just hoped it made complete sense to Willow. She put it in the mail box, then she stopped and took it out. She thought to herself, Let's just walk over there and give it to her face to face, Tara. Yes, that would be best.
She silently walked out of her tiny little house, and closed and locked the door. She started to walk, her shoes carefully stepped onto rocks as she was taking the short cut to Buffy's house from where she lived. As she got closer to Buffy's, her eyes widened.Oh...Goddess!!!!!
Tara looked at Buffy's house, her eyes filled with fear. Buffy's house was on fire. She quickly ran over to the house and looked around, hearing the sirens from the firemen's truck. She just stood there in shock for a moment. "I have to go in and ... get... Dawnie.. and Willow ... and Buffy. Are they... t-they're i-in t-there?!" She asked to herself despite the firemen behind her. As she turned around she blushed fiercely.
"Do you know the people that live in this house?" Asked the fireman. He was wearing his cap and all his gear.
Tara stared at him as she silently walked over to the house, the flames licking there way onto the porch. But she didn't care. She needed to save her ex-girlfriend and Dawn. She could hear Dawn screaming, but she couldn't hear Willow. She slowly opened the house door trying not to inhale the smoke as she got on the floor quickly. As she crawled calling out, "Dawnie! Willow?!" Tara asked a little nervously as she heard Dawn's panicking voice.
"Tara... God, Willow's in the house, but, I don't know where..."
Tara saw Dawn and grabbed her, taking her out of the house, coughing and not caring if the cops and the fireman were talking to her. She sat Dawn down on the curb of the house, planning to make her way inside the house again. But as she was walking there, the house collapsed, with Willow in it.
"WILLOW!" Tara cried painfully. She knew that Willow was in there, she just couldn't believe this was happening, not to her lover, not to the one she loved. She looked desperately at the fireman. "P-please, G-g-go t-take a-away the t-things o-on top o-of the g-girl." Tara pleaded, her eyes all misty. She closed them to prevent any tears from falling.
She walked over to Dawn, who now was next to Buffy. She just looked back at the rubble of Buffy's house. She knew that Willow couldn't have made it, but she could hope.
She silently walked away, letting all her tears flow from her cheeks. She couldn't picture Willow gone...
The question was though, was she really gone?
~Part 3 coming soon~
part 3
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~Last time on Longing:

"..Oh god..Willows in here but I don't know where!"--Dawn. The house collapses with Willow in it.

~Continueing.

Tara walked home crying. She entered her house silently, golden locks stuck to her face. She pushed them away as she made her way to the bathroom.

She splashed her face with water, dryed it carefully, and looked up into the mirror. Her face turned ghostly white as she stared in fright at the blood smeared letters on the mirror.

Scorch my skin

Burn my heart

Sear my Soul

Your beloved Willow is gone

She looked at the bottom of the mirror and saw a picture of a mouse and Swiss cheese. Her eyes narrowed in anger. Amy, She did this! How could she?? She shook her head, still scared as she backed away from the bathroom and ran over to grab her coat.

She ran back to where Buffy and Dawn were. She needed to tell them quickly.

"B-Buffy!!!" Tara yelled as she ran over to Buffy, her eyes full of fear, and tinged with sadness and anger.

Buffy looked at Tara and could tell something was wrong. She quietly pulled Tara away from the crowd as she stared at her, her blonde hair in a ponytail and her eyes a little misty because, she thought she lost her best friend. She most likely did.

"Tara...what's wrong? I know you miss Willow, but you look like you're afraid..." Buffy said, her eyes a getting darker because she could tell it was important.

"I-I know who did this!" Tara said confidently. She knew exactly what she was going to say.

"Who?"Buffy asked as her eyes narrowed.

"Th-the rat g-girl, Amy!" Tara said. She looked around in fear, "Sh-she wrote a- she w-wrote a n-note o-on my m-mirror... in b-blood."

Buffy grabbed Tara and slowly walked to were Tara lived.

She walked in the house with Tara, and they walked into the bathroom. Buffy carefully examined it and she nodded angrily at what Amy did. She silently folded her fist.

"Amy is so gonna get her ass kicked." Buffy said quietly, as she turned to Tara.

Suddenly, laughter echoed through Tara's house. They didnt know who it was, becuase the laughter was so mysterious. The voice finally got to its normal tone and the person asked, "So, Tara. Your beloved Willow is gone, what are you gonna do about it?" The girl asked as she was nowhere to be seen.

Tara looked around franticly, seeing that Buffy was gone now. She didn't even know where she went as she silently walked to her room and closed her door and locked it.

"That wasn't such a good idea Tara," Amy hissed. She was standing in the corner of the room now, staring at Tara.

Tara looked at Amy and let out a muffled scream as she ran back to the door, trying to open it, but she couldn't. She panicked and kept trying, cursing under her breath and kicking the door frantically. It popped open, but slammed shut again because Amy used her power to shut it.

"I didn't say you could leave, now did I?" Amy asked, a little angry at Tara for trying to leave.

"N-no... b-but y-you a-arent s-supposed to be in my h-house." Tara said nervously, her eyes filled with fear. She silenlty crawled to the bathroom door in her room that lead to the living room.

Amy put her foot on Tara's hand, not letting her leave. "You ain't going no where." She said in an 'oh-so-scary' tone.

Tara tried to get away, saying a quiet spell, moving Amy off of her as she ran to the bathroom door and threw it open. She ran out of the other door into the living room and ran to the front door to try and open it, but it was jammed.

"Sh-shoot OPEN!!! G-Goddess... p-please!" She looked towards her bedroom door nervously as she tried to open the door. She pulled it towards her but got nowhere and fell to the floor. She was dead scared.

She didn't know what to do as she heard someone call her name, and she turned around and saw Willow's body against the wall. She ran over to her and tried to pull her away, but she saw she couldn't.

"T-Tara..." Willow said weakly. She couldn't fully respond because she was so drained.

Tara whispered to Willow. "Shhhh, w-we'll find a-a way out I-I promise."

Amy appeared at the door as it fell to the ground. She picked up her knife and stared at the both of them.

"Time to die witches." Amy said with a sinister smirk on her face.

You've certainly made a good start here, with original ideas that still cling to the characters we as readers recognize. However, it might benefit you to try and develop your description more, as paragraphs that explain surroundings, or actions, tone of voice etc, can help the reader fully understand what is happening.
