--- Chapter 3 ---

"Hey Will," chirped Buffy as she shifted on her bed, where she was comfortably watchin the TV, so she could see the redhead etering the room. "Fun at the beach?"
"Beach? Yeah...fun! A fun-filled beach. Xander and I ahd a a blast, not sure about Cordy though...I mean.....sand and Cordy-hair, not a good mix by her books apparently..."
"Funny," came the reply that was aimed to stop the Willow-babble that seemed to go unnoticed by the redhead herself, "Xan and Cordy came back from the beach like over an hour ago...said you went off with someone you almost killed?" Buffy's questioning tone and baffled look made Willow giggle and she smiled her innocent school-girl smile.
"No! No, there was no attempted killing of any kind...volleyball hit me...bad aim, and I kinda knocked this girl down when I crash-landed...so I took her out for a sundae, to apologise...but no, absolutely no-one hurt." Buffy giggled as Willow fumbled around in her pocket as her cell phone started to ring.
WIllow's face grew puzzled as she looked at the Caller ID, which displayed a number she didn't instantly recognise. "Hello? Tara, hi! You couldn't?" The redhead blushed as she self-consciously turned away from her petite friend slightly, wondering if she had caught on to the girl's name, and the flirtatious tone of her own voice as the blonde told her she couldn't wait any longer to call her. "Tomorrow? No, that's cool, yeah, see you then! Hehe me too, bye!"
"Tara? New name...anyone I know?" asked Buffy nonchalantly as she aimlessly flicked the buttons of the TV remote, trying to find some 'decent' music station.
"Oh, the girl I 'almost killed' as Xander so kindly put it, she's into like...science and stuff like me so we're um gonna meet up tomorrow and look at these rocks we found in an alcove just off the beach...ya know, kinda study them..." Willow cocked her head to the side slightly, a crease slightly forming in the middle of her brow as she hoped Buffy accepted her pethetic attempt at a cover-up. Buffy just looked at her and blinked.
"Willow, you really are nots you know that right?" Willow just grinned and nodded shyly at Buffy who rolled her eyes. "Studying, even on holiday...yup that's our Willow" she mumbled as Willow headed into the bathroom.

As they headed towards the table where he was sitting, Xander looked up to see his two best friends walking towards him, both looking as beautiful as ever. When he'd told them it was a formal restaurant, he hadn't expected the girls to take any notice. In fact, he half expected them to turn up in shorts and a t-shirt, but as it was, each girl, sorry, woman, had dressed elegantly. The tall redhead wore a simple long cream satin skirt that flowed freely around her ankles, with a rather low, black cowl-neck top. Each of her slender arms had rather long slightly see-through sleeve flowing down it, while her freckled neck was decorated with a beautiful gold necklace with a single sapphire stone set in the centre, as her flame-red hair hung lazily yet sexily just above her shoulders. She wore elegant strappy black sandles which complimented the outfit perfectly, and accentuated her perfect figure.
The blonde, although the complete opposite of her taller sidekick, looked equally as breath-taking. She strutted comfortably next to the redhead in simple red stiletto boots, which were mostly covered by her black kick-flare trousers, hosting a simple satin strip down each of the outer seems of her legs, and trimmed by a silver belt, laying across her perfectly rounded hips in an assymetrical manner. The top of her body was bathed in a simple yet elegant scarlet v-neck top, with a trim of dazzling silver sequins along the neckline, carrying on just below each of her breasts to create an X-shape across her upper body. Two strands of her long blonde hair hung either side of her silver diamonique choker as the rest of the golden locks were swept back and secured in place, with several other strands peeking out of the top of the stlye. The tied-back tresses made way for the beautiful diamonique-studded earrings which dangled perfectly from her petite ears.
"Ladies." He said as he stood up to greet them at the table. "Wow, look at you two all scrubbed up and womanly."
"Xander," Buffy motioned to the corner of her mouth with her finger, "you've got a little drool, sweetie." Both girls giggled as he fumbled with the side of his mouth to make sure any trace of the substance was irradicated immediately. "Hey, no Cordelia?"
"She's still getting ready, she has been for like the past two hours. I decided to come down here and wait, rather than listen to her endlessly complimenting herself to the mirror. You'd think if she thinks she's hot...it'd take her less time t get ready." Xander shook his head in confusion as both girls seemed to give the statement brief thought.
"Maybe she takes so long because...there's a lot of parts of her that she um...loves about herself?"
"Xander, I don't know how you put up with her sometimes...she's just so...me me me," stated Willow in a tone of slight confusion as she studied the menu in front of her.
"Becasue it's Cordy ya know? And I kinda love her."
