Re: New Fic: Family This is awesome whitewiccan.

Is her mom not her mom? Is it the First or something? (seeing as RJ is there I figured you saw season seven or at least enough to know about the First)

I like the cute romantic Willow you discribed also really enjoying the image of Spike beating the crap out of Warren.

Then Warren dying all the sweeter.

Please continue.

Re: Family I almost skipped by this after reading the short summary...after Seeing Red...no Willow. I thought is was going to be another dismal story about Willow's dark magic, blah, blah, sad, sad, sad ! I am so glad I read it! What a great intro...Willow and Tara together...happy times...romantic Willow, love...all that makes a really super W/T fic. Great little mini-cliffhanger too. I thought it would be Dad or Donnie at the door...surprise it was mother. You got me with that move!

I also like that Tara is teaching Willow white magic...have to admit that scenes with them doing magic are just that. So, when will Willow be home and WOW what's the deal with Mother? :hmm I'll be around to find out...I can handle anything as long as W/T are working as a loving team!

Summary: A familiar face from Tara’s past returns.

Note: This story takes place around the time of “Him” so the First doesn’t exist to the scoobies yet.

Sorry for taking so long with this update. When I arrived home from my holiday, I was rushed to hospital with severe vomiting and stomach pains. I got home yesterday, so this update is short, but I promise a longer one in a couple of days.

Tara was still standing at the door way. She couldn’t believe who was staring back at her. Her mother, her best friend, the one who was always there for her, was alive.

Tara had dreamed of this moment for such a long time.

“Mom, How… how can this be possible?” She asked.

Her mother leaned forward and took her daughters hand.

“Honey, I know you’re probably wondering what’s going, but it’s me. I’m back. There are some things I need to tell you though.” She said.

She went to lead her daughter to the couch, but Tara pulled her back. “Mom, I love you.” She said, as she threw her arms around her mother.

Both women were crying, neither them thought this moment would ever happen again.

They both had so much to say to each other, but right now, they needed to hug, to really believe that the other was there.

After a few minutes, Tara’s mom pulled back and led her daughter to the couch.

“Mom, how can this be real?” Tara asked.

“You didn’t think coming from a long line of powerful witches wouldn’t have its advantages did you?” Her mother asked.

“I don’t understand.” Tara replied. Her mother sighed.

“It’s the anniversary in two days.” She began.

“I know, five years…I haven’t forgotten” Tara said.

“Once a witch has been dead for five years, she is given the choice of returning to Earth, or staying where she is. If she says no, she gets asked again five years later, and every five years after that.” Her mother said.

“So you said yes.” Tara stated. “I did, I had to.” Her mother replied.

“But I don’t understand, I thought you’d be happy where you were. I mean, what about all the other women in our family, why did they never choose to come back to Earth?” Tara asked.

Tara’s mother looked her daughter in the eye. “Because they didn’t have you as a daughter.” She said simply.

A fresh set of tears ran down Tara’s cheeks. All her prayers had been answered. Her mother was alive, and her mother was with her.

She pulled her mother into a tight hug, never wanting to let go.

“Sweetie, I saw what happened, with your father and Donald.”

Tara’s mother said.

Tara pulled back to look at her mother. “They lied to us, none of it was real. We don’t need them anymore mom.” She said.

“Tara, I hate what they did to us, I hate the way they treated you, but I don’t hate them. I never could.

As much as I dislike the man your brother has become, he’s my son, and I need to see him.”

“And dad?” Tara asked. Her mother sighed. “I don’t know. Tara, I know he treated you badly, but he loved you, in his own twisted way.”

“What are we supposed to tell them?” Tara asked.

“Nothing, for now. Right now I just want to enjoy being back with my daughter.” Her mother replied.

“Tell me about your life here sweetie. “ Her mother said.

“Do you know any of it?” Tara asked. Her mother nodded.

“I know some. You live with a slayer and her family. I saw what happened with the hell god, from where I was.” She replied.

“You mean you saw it happening?” Tara asked.

“No, it’s not like watching a movie. I could feel what you were feeling. I could feel the pain you were in...and I couldn’t help.” She replied.

“It’s okay mom. It was hard without you. I missed you every day, especially when dad and Donnie came back.

But I had my friends. They’re like my family. I can’t wait for you to meet them.” She said excitedly.

Summary: A familiar face from Tara’s past returns.

Willow walked through the front door. She expected Tara to be in the kitchen, as her lover told her she would be making dinner for them early that night.

She turned and looked in the living room, to see if any one else was home. She froze at the sight that greeted her.

Sitting on the couch was her lover, and another woman.

Although Willow had never seen any pictures of Taras’ mom, she knew right away who she was. She was an older version of Tara, in every detail.

Tara stood up at the sight of her lover. She walked over and took Willow’s hands.

“Willow, something happened. Something amazing. I know you probably won’t believe this, but that is my mom. She’s alive!” Tara said excitedly.

Willow stood there shocked, “how?” She asked.

“Long Story, C’mon.” Tara said, as she led Willow over to the couch.

Tara smiled and said, “Mom, this is Willow.”

Her mother stood up and took held out her hand. “It’s very nice to meet you Willow.” She said.

Willow smiled and shook her hand before saying, “It’s great to meet you too, really. I mean, I can’t believe that I’m actually meeting you, but it’s great, this is amazing.”

Tara took one of her mothers hands, and said “mom, there’s something you need to know. Willow’s my-“

“Girlfriend?” He mother asked.

Tara looked at her strangely, and asked, “How did you know?”

Her mother smiled at her and said, “Honey I can feel it, the love you have for each other is overwhelming, and when I was…gone, I saw how happy you were. I knew someone was taking care of you.”

Tara smiled at her lover, and leaned forward to kiss her.

Although the kiss was short, Taras’ mother could see how much love was in it.

Willow and Tara were still gazing into Each other’s eyes. Tara’s mother smiled at them, she couldn’t remember ever seeing her daughter this happy.

She knew that Tara had found her soul mate in Willow.

Willow turned to Taras’ mother and asked her, “so, was it your choice to come back?”

Mrs Maclay nodded. “Yes, witches are given the choice every five years after they die to come back to Earth, or stay where they are. I chose to come back.” She said.

“I still can’t believe it!” Tara said excitedly.

Willow nodded and said, “Me neither, it’s so cool that you’re here and I can talk to you. Ever since I met Tara, I wanted to be able to talk to you and find out all the things about her I didn’t know.”

Mrs Maclay squeezed Willow’s hand and said, “We’ve got lots of time for that. I can tell you all the stuff she got up too when she was younger.”

Willow smiled, and stood up. “Well, you’re probably starving, I’ll go make us something to eat” She said as she walked into the kitchen

Re: New Fic: Family Interesting choice they get. I am wondering if it's a one shot deal or if she dies again she gets to choose again :grin , that'd be nice.

And I think it's great that she's accepting of w/t but I really can't imagine Tara's mom as anything but kind and understanding.

Summary: A familiar face from Tara’s past returns.

:tara :love :willow

Willow and Tara were sitting on the couch together. Tara had convinced her mom to go upstairs to rest, so Willow and Tara were waiting for Buffy to come home so that they could tell her the good news.

“How are you sweetie?” Willow asked her lover.

Tara sighed, and said, “I honestly don’t know how to answer that. I mean, I can’t describe how happy I am that she’s here, but… there’s just this voice in the back of mind telling me it’s not real. Like she’s gonna go away again.”

Willow pulled her lover close to her, “honey, she’s not gonna go away. She came back because she wanted to be with you, because she loves you. There’s no way she’s going to go anywhere.” Willow said softly.

”But what if she changes her mind? What if she realises that I’m not the same Tara she knew, and she wants to go back.” Tara said worriedly, Willow could tell she was close to tears.

“Tara, listen to me. She came back because she loves her daughter more than anything in the world. And because she is so proud of the woman you’ve become. You have to stop thinking that you’re not good enough. You’re the most amazing, kind, most beautiful person I have ever met, and your mom and I are lucky to have you, please remember that.”

Tara smiled at her lover, letting her tears fall freely. “I love you Willow.” She said.

Willow smiled at her, “good, because I love you too." She leaned forward and kissed her soul mate, and just as the kiss was getting more passionate, Buffy walked in.

“Hey guys, what’s up?” She asked. She saw Tara crying and was instantly worried.

“Buffy, we’ve got something to tell you.” Willow said.

“What is it? Is everyone ok?” Buffy asked worriedly.

Tara nodded and said, “Everyone’s fine Buffy, but we have some good news. There’s someone here that you might be a bit shocked to meet.”

“Who?” Buffy asked.

Tara smiled and said, “My mom.”

Buffy walked towards them slightly, and said, “your mom? I thought she was… dead.”

Tara nodded, “So did we. But apparently, there’s a choice witches get to come back every five years after they die, and my mom chose to come back.”

“That’s amazing; I can’t believe your mom’s here, where is she anyway?” Buffy asked.

“She’s lying down in our room.” Willow replied.

“Are you ok Tara, I mean, you must still be in shock.” Buffy said.

“I’m ok, I mean, yeah it’s a shock, but it’s just so amazing to have her with me again, I missed her so much when she was gone.” Tara said.

She turned to her lover, and said, “actually honey, I’m gonna go see if she’s awake so that Buffy can meet her.” Willow nodded, and Tara kissed her before going upstairs.

“So, can you believe it?” Willow asked.

“No, I really can’t.” Buffy replied.

Willow noticed Buffy expression. The slayer seemed to be deep in thought.

”Buffy, what is it?” Willow asked worriedly.

“But what?” Willow asked.

Buffy sighed and said, “I don’t think it’s really her mom."

Fic : True Love

Title: True Love

Rating: P.G 13

Paring: W/T

Disclaimer: These characters belong to Joss Whedon.

Feedback: Yes Please

Summary: A different story about how Willow and Tara meet and fall in love.

Setting: Set during season six. Buffy never died. This story is set in Sunnydale, the Hell mouth and Vampires do exist.

Note: This is a Vamp Tara story.

Tara walked slowly into the Bronze. The sun had finally set, and she was relieved she could leave her crypt. She tried her best to sleep during the daytime, but there were always too many things on her mind.

She adjusted her long black coat; underneath she was wearing long black trousers, and a black shirt. Unlike most vampires, she dressed simple, not wanting to attract any unwanted attention.

She was planning to have a few drinks, and then she was going to head out to the butcher’s to get some fresh blood.

Although she would never hurt a human herself, she often envied how easy it was for soulless vampires to get blood. So she spent a large part of every night walking around Sunnydale, trying to keep people safe from vampires.

Although she would occasionally cross paths with the slayer, she was able to get back to her crypt fast enough to avoid a confrontation.

She had finished her drink, and stood up and walked towards the exit. She stopped when she saw something out the corner of her eye. Sitting alone in the corner was the most beautiful creature she had ever seen.

The woman had perfect shoulder length red hair, the most amazing face, and a breathtaking smile.

Normally, Tara would have walked away. But she couldn’t stop herself walking over.

“Is this seat taken?” She asked, she knew it was lame, but it was the first thing that came into her head. The redhead stepped out of her daydream.

She looked up and saw the most gorgeous woman she had seen in her life. She had lovely, waist length blond hair, sparkling blue eyes, and the most adorable half smile.

After Oz had left, Willow had found herself growing increasingly attracted to women, and, although there had been no-one special in her life since Oz, she had finally admitted

To herself and her friends six months ago that she was bisexual.

“Uh, no, no I’m alone.” She replied. Tara smiled, and Willow thought she was going to faint. “Do you mind if I sit down.” Tara asked. Willow smiled, “no, not at all.”

They both stared at each other, happy to sit in silence and memorize the other’s face. Tara finally broke the silence.

“I’m Tara by the way.” She said, holding out her head. Willow gladly accepted it. “I’m Willow.” She replied.

“So, uh, are you from round here?” She asked. Willow nodded, “yep, I’ve lived here all my life, you?” She asked.

Tara shook her head, “no, I...I’ve lived in a lot of different places, but this is my home now.”

“Do you go to the university?” Willow asked, hoping Tara might be in some of her classes after the summer.

“No, I wasn’t really that interested and, I’m really more of a night person anyway.” Tara replied. Willow nodded her head, trying to hide her disappointment. “What about you?” Tara asked.

“Yeah, I’ve been at UC Sunnydale for the last two and a half years.” Willow replied.

“Cool, do you live on campus?” Tara asked. “Willow nodded, “yeah, I got a room to myself, didn’t really want a roommate.” She replied.

“Hey, do you want to go for a walk?” Tara asked. Willow nodded enthusiastically. “Sure, that’d be great.” She replied. Tara smiled and they headed out together.

They walked in silence for the first few minutes, and then Tara decided to speak.

“So, what subjects are you taking at university?” She asked. Willow was about to answer, when they were interrupted by a vampire jumping in front of them, blocking their way.

Tara was ready to protect Willow; she walked forward and punched the vamp, who fell to the ground clutching his face. Tara was ready to strike again when she heard Willow speak quietly.

The vampire immediately burst into flames. Tara turned and looked at Willow, who was smiling nervously. “I guess I have some explaining to do.” Willow said.

Tara smirked, Willow walked towards Tara. “I know this is going to be hard to accept, but that thing was a vampire.” Willow said.

Tara tried her best to be surprised, “OH! Vampires are real, who would have thought!” She said nervously. Willow laughed a little. “Yep, Sunnydale’s kind of full of them.” She said.

“What about you?” Tara asked, “what about me?” Willow asked. Tara smiled, “you made that vamp turn to dust. I’m guessing you’ve got a secret too.” She said. Willow nodded, “yeah, I’m…I’m a witch.”

She expected Tara to walk away and not look back. But she didn’t. Instead, she smiled and took one of Willow’s hands. “Cool.” She said.

Willow smiled, and squeezed Taras’ hand a little. “You must be pretty strong.” Willow said. “Huh?” Tara asked, not understanding the question.

“Well, you managed to knock that vamp down with just one punch.” Willow said. Tara frowned, trying her best to think of something to say.

“Oh, yeah, I uh, I work out…sometimes.” She replied. Silence fell between them. They both began to study each others’ faces again, amazed by the others beauty.

Willow snapped them both out of it. “So, the university’s not very far from here I guess I should…” She dragged the sentence out, not wanting to finish it.

Tara nodded, disappointed Willow was leaving. “Y’know, it’s not very safe out here, maybe I should walk you home.” Tara suggested.

Willow nodded. “You um, shouldn’t really be walking alone, you could stay over if you want, I have room.” Willow said.

She couldn’t believe she was saying this to a stranger, but there was something about Tara that made her want to trust her.

Tara smiled. “Sure, as long as you don’t mind." Willow shook her head, and they headed off to the university together.

To Be Continued?

Re: New Fic: True Love Hey W^2. I really like your new fic. Lots of potential. I'm not normally all that cool with vamp-Willow or vamp-Tara stories, but no one (I think ) has ever done a souled vamp Willow/Tara. So I'm very excited about this fic.

One small request though: GET A BETA

The dialogue is very hard to follow in the format that it is in right now and I noticed a couple of spelling errors as well.

I really like the idea that you've got going (in fact i'm kinda jealous that I didn't get to think of it first ) so please keep the updates coming cause they're really good, but Beta'd updates would be even better. :)

Um... I'd be willing to give it a try if you'd like...

Thanks for writing!

LOL... calm down tiger...

It's really simple (I think): Go to The Beta Readers Thread, choose a beta gal/guy that you like, know, or sounds kinda cool, and e-mail your story to the e-mail addy that the Beta in question gives. Most Beta's (that I know of) prefer to recieve the story in either ".doc" or ".txt" format.

I, myself, am always willing to be a better Beta (hee... aliteration...) and you can reach me anytime at my Yahoo account rpmeter800@yahoo.com: I promise to highlight all changes I believe are nesecarry and I can be a fairly decent gramarian... when I put my mind to the task.

And btw... sorry BtyrSuite, didn't think that the font change was that drastic: I'll keep a proverbial lid on it in the future.

Willow unlocked the door and walked into the dorm room, followed by Tara. She turned and faced Tara.

“Uh, you can take the bed, I’ll take the floor.” She said nervously.

Tara shook her head, “no, it’s your room, I’ll take the floor.” She replied.

Willow fumbled nervously, “well, uh, it is a double bed, I mean; there’s no point in one of us sleeping on the floor if we don’t have to, right?”

Tara smiled at her, and said, “Yeah, there’s no point in one of us being uncomfortable.”

Willow smiled back at her, and they continued to stare at each other. After a few minutes, Willow broke the eye contact, and said, “well, I’ll uh…I’ll go and get changed. There should be something in that drawer for you to wear if you want.”

Tara walked over and pulled out a pair of pyjamas with smiling cows on them, they were nothing like the clothes she wore, but she didn’t want to hurt Willow’s feelings by not wearing them.

“This’ll be fine, thanks.” Tara said. Willow smiled at her slightly, and walked into the bathroom.

Tara looked around willow’s room. There were lots of books on her desk. Tara walked over and saw that they were witchcraft books. She decided she wasn’t going to mention to Willow that she too practiced witchcraft, because she didn’t want to bring up memories of her mother.

She saw pictures of Willow’s friends next to the books. There was a blond girl cuddling a young brunette girl, who looked like her sister, and a young man hugging a blond girl, and there were pictures of them all together, looking happy.

Tara envied them. She thought how much easier their lives must be, to have friends in them.

Tara didn’t want to think about how badly her relationship with her best friend had ended.

She knew that if she started to think about it, she would either end up putting her fist through the wall or sobbing her heart out, and she didn’t want to do either in front of Willow.

She got changed into the pyjamas and waited for Willow to return.

~*~*~*~*~*

Faith woke up with a fright. She looked around, trying to figure out where she was. She turned and saw the overweight bald man she had been sitting next to since she boarded the bus for Sunnydale four hours ago and sighed. She was desperate to get there, to get her revenge.

She had been following the same vampire for almost four years. But each time she got to a town where she thought the vampire was, they had disappeared. Faith had sworn to herself since the day it happened that she would make her ex best friend pay for what she did, weather she had a soul now or not.

She took a look in her bag. She was sure she had brought enough weapons this time. She told herself that this would be the last time her and the vampire fought, and one of them was defiantly going to die.

Re: New Fic: True Love This is an interesting story. :tara as a vampire is always interesting.

I'm curious about why Willow hasn't noticed the fact that Tara's a vampire. Maybe she's too distracted by other things.

Faith being after Tara can't be good. What did Tara do to Faith that upset her so much?

Looking forward to reading more.

Re: New Fic: True Love Great start. I love the idea of Tara as a vamp with a soul, and I'm very interested in what Tara has done that has made Faith so mad. And I'm guessing it won't be too long before Willow learns Tara is a vamp, if not by the fact that she'll be so cold to the touch. Looking forward to more!

Summary: A different story about how Willow and Tara meet and fall in love.

Setting: Set during season six. Buffy never died. This story is set in Sunnydale, the Hell mouth and Vampires do exist.

Note: This is a Vamp Tara story.

Willow walked back into her dorm room, and smiled hugely at what she saw. Tara was standing in the middle of the room, looking adorable in Willow’s pyjamas.

Willow bit her lip to stop herself from laughing, and asked Tara, “are they ok for you?”

Tara smiled and said, “yeah, they’re …they’re not what I usually wear, but they’re great.”

“So, what side do you want?” Willow asked.

Tara looked at her strangely, and asked her, “What do you mean?”

“The bed, what side do you want?” Willow asked again.

“Oh, you choose,” Tara replied.

“But you’re the guest.” Willow said.

“It’s your bed,” Tara pointed out.

“Ok, I’ll take the right.” Willow said, “Do you mind?”

Tara smiled and said, “Fine by me.”

Willow climbed into bed first, Tara looked around the room nervously, wondering if she really should get into the bed, and how she would get home before sunrise without Willow suspecting anything.

“”What’s wrong?” Willow asked worriedly.

Tara snapped out of her thoughts, “Oh, uh, nothing.”

The look of concern on Willow face made Tara’s decision for her. There was no way she was leaving.

She climbed into bed, and Willow turned out the light. Tara wasn’t sure if she should lie with her back to Willow, or if she should face her. She had never been so nervous in her life. Willow turned on her side and faced Tara. She was about to say something to her, but was interrupted by the door bursting open. Tara sat up quickly; and showed her true face, it had become natural for her to turn her game-face on whenever she sensed danger.

Willow quickly turned the light on and saw that it was just a drunk student who had wandered in.

“Sorry, I guess this isn’t my dorm huh? You should lock your door though.” The student said, before walking out and closing the door behind him.

As Willow turned to Tara to see if she was ok, her heart broke.

Tara’s beautiful face was now that of a vampire.

Willow quickly got out of bed and grabbed the cross from her bedside table, and pointed it at Tara. She couldn’t believe she had been so stupid not to notice.

Tara couldn’t believe she had forgotten to change her face back. She had just been trying to protect Willow form whatever was in the room.

“Get out!” Willow screamed at her.

Tara got out of bed and tried to walk towards Willow, but was stopped by the cross Willow was pointing at her. Her face now looked human.

“Willow, please, I’m not going to hurt you.” Tara said, trying her best to calm Willow down.

“What’s wrong with you? Why did you come here, why did you agree to stay over? Why didn’t you just kill me?!” Willow asked.

“I’m not like other vampires Willow. I’m not evil…I have a soul.” Tara said.

Willow lowered the cross slightly, not sure whether to believe Tara or not, although her heart knew Tara was telling the truth, her head didn’t.

“How do I know you’re telling the truth?” Willow asked.

“Don’t you think I would have killed you by now?” Tara said.

Willow lowered the cross completely. “How old are you really?” She asked.

“Twenty-one, I was turned into a vampire four years ago.” Tara replied.

“If you telling the truth, how did you get a soul?” Willow asked.

Tara sighed and sat on the bed. “My mother and I were witches; we used to practise together all the time. When she found out what had happened to me, she cast a spell to give me a soul.”

Willow sat down on the bed, sitting far away fro Tara. “Where’s your mom now?” She asked.

Tara felt her eyes fill up with tears. “She’s dead.” She said.

“I’m sorry.” Willow said simply. She waited a few minutes before she spoke again. “Was it yo?” She asked.

Tara knew Willow was going to ask that question. “No, she died of cancer six months after she gave me my soul back.”

“How long were you a vampire before she cast the spell on you?” Willow asked.

“One night.” Tara replied. Willow let out the breath she had been holding. She was relieved that Tara had been a vampire for such a short time.

“So, I guess that means you didn’t hurt anyone.” Willow said.

Tara turned away from her, she knew she couldn’t lie to Willow, but she didn’t wan to have to tell her the truth.

“Tara, did you hurt someone?”

Tara turned back and faced her again. “I can’t lie to you, but you’re not going to like what you hear.”

“Tell me.” Willow demanded.

Tara took a deep breath, and said, “The night I was turned, I went to my best friends house. I was going there…to kill her. I know that’s terrible, but it wasn’t me doing it, it was the monster that was inside me. Anyway, she wasn’t home, but her mom invited me in to wait for her. I was so hungry; I didn’t want to wait, so I killed her mom. My friend came back, and saw me standing over her mom’s body. I was gonna kill her too, but she was so strong. She was a slayer, you see. You do know about slayers right?” Tara asked.

Willow nodded, not knowing what to say.

“We fought, and after a while, I got so hungry, I just left, and killed the first human I saw. My friends never gotten over it, and she’s been trying to find me since it happened, she doesn’t know I got my soul. My mom put the spell on me when I got home. I told her what I’d done and she told me I had to leave, or I’d be killed. I went straight away. I wish I hadn’t, I wish I’d been with my mom when she died. But she was right, I would have been killed. So that’s my story, I’m guessing you hate me right?”

Willow shook her head, “I don’t know what I feel right now. But you’re right though, it wasn’t you who killed your friend’s mom. What was your friend’s name anyway?”

“Faith.”

No, Faith was never in Sunnydale in the story, the scoobie gang don’t know who she is, and they don’t know she is a slayer.:) :kitty

Tempest Duer: thanks for reading, I’m glad you like it.

Quote:Too bad about Faith's mother, though...

I know it’s sad about Faith’s mother, but I couldn’t think of a character to kill that would upset Faith, and I remember her saying in season three about her mother being dead.

“Look, what you did was wrong Tara, but I don’t want you to die.” Willow said.

Tara smiled; no human had ever been this kind to her since before she was dead, apart from her mother.

“Thank you, and don’t worry, I won’t hurt you. Even without my soul, I wouldn’t have hurt you.” Tara said sincerely.

Willow blushed slightly. She knew she shouldn’t be attracted to Tara, but she couldn’t help it. Tara was gorgeous. Besides, she did have a soul.

“Why wouldn’t you hurt me?” Willow asked. This was wrong, and she knew it. But that made her want to kiss Tara even more.

“Because, you’re special. Being with you makes me feel something I haven’t felt for a long time.” Tara answered.

“What do I make you feel?” Willow asked.

“Happy…and alive.” Tara answered honestly.

Willow couldn’t help herself. She had been wanted to kiss Tara the moment she had seen her. She knew she wouldn’t regret it later because Tara made her feel special too.

She leaned forward and pushed her lips against Tara’s. Tara moaned and pulled Willow closer to her. They held on tightly to each other as their tongues fought for control of the kiss.

Tara pulled back and gently caressed Willow’s cheek.

“Wow.” She said.

Willow nodded, “double wow.” She replied.

“Willow, are you sure you wanna get involved in this. As much as I want to be with you I can’t stand the thought of you getting hurt.” Tara said.

“Tara, I know we’ve only just met, but I feel more connected to you than I ever have to anyone else. I don’t know what it is about you. Whether or not you’ve done things you regret in the past doesn’t matter. We all make mistakes. From now on I don’t want to be apart from you.” Willow said.

Tara kissed her again.

“I feel the same way.” She said.

Summary: Tara’s back, but is it really her?

Setting; Set the summer between seasons six and seven.

Note: In the first chapter in this story Tara is dead. In the second chapter, Tara is alive.

Chapter 1: Grief.

“Grief is

The price

We pay

For love.”

Buffy walked alone through the cemetery. She had finished her nightly patrol and was headed to the place she had visited only three times in the past four months. Tara’s grave.

When she got there, she kneeled down in front of the headstone, which was marked with the words:

Tara Maclay

1980-2002

Always Loved

Never Forgotten

She was too special to live

On Earth.

Buffy placed a single rose on the grave before speaking. “Hey Tara, it’s me again. I just wanted to let you know how everyone is.

“Xander and Anya went on a date last week, so things are looking up for them.

Anya decided to give up her vengeance to give their relationship another chance, but I’m guessing Xander still has a lot of grovelling to do.”

“Dawn’s not really spoken much since it happened. She just comes home from school and sits in her room all night, and thinks I can’t hear her crying.

I just don’t know what to say to her. You were always so good at knowing what things to say and when to say them. She hasn’t mentioned your name at all. Whenever I bring you up, she tries to change the subject. I don’t think it’s hit her yet that you’re not coming back.

She stopped writing in her diary too. It’s almost as if she doesn’t want to have a life anymore, she thinks you’d be angry at her for carrying on as normal. It’s almost worse than when mom died.

The day of your funeral, she stayed out all night; I’m still not sure where she went exactly, probably Spike’s old crypt. When Xander and I eventually found her, I couldn’t be angry at her. The way she looked at me brought tears to my eyes. She looked so lost, like she didn’t know who she was anymore. I just took her into my arms, took her home and held her till she fell asleep.

She’s come here with me once, and other times on her own. I think she prefers to be on her own. I’m guessing she tells you a lot of what’s on her mind.

I just wish I could help her, she won’t even cry in front of me. I think she thinks if she cries in front of me, I’ll get too upset to talk to her, but it wouldn’t be like that.

We could help each other feel better, and look at photographs of you together, if I could just get her to open up things would be so much better.”

“Giles and Willow came back a few days ago. Giles says he going to stay here and try and help everyone get better, but I know he needs help too.

I know the two of you weren’t really that close and didn’t talk that much, but he loved you. You were part of his family. Our family. A family that has lost one of its most important members.

Giles says the coven helped Will as much as they could, and they said they would keep in touch with us to tell us if any new evils that might be coming.

They keep going on about this First evil that’s on its way to Sunnydale.

It’s supposed to be bigger and badder than anyone we’ve faced, and apparently it takes only the form of dead people, but it hasn’t made an appearance yet.

Giles keeps trying to get through to Dawn and Willow, but it’s not really working.

He keeps saying to me that it’s going to take time, but it’s been four and a half months and things aren’t any different. Nobody’s feeling any better.

So he’s going about trying to help everyone else so that he doesn’t have to help himself. But I’m glad though. We need him.”

“Spike came back a few days after your funeral. He was shocked when I told him you were dead, I think he was quite upset too, but he tried his best not to show. The first words he said to me after I told him were “how’s Willow?” I couldn’t answer him; I didn’t know what to say.

I started crying and he took me back to his crypt.

He seemed different somehow, and he apologised to me for what he did.

I think he understands that nothing is ever going to happen between us again.”

“And Willow, I don’t even know what to say. She doesn’t talk, doesn’t eat, doesn’t sleep, doesn’t move. She just sits in her room all day, talking to you like you were still there.

I thought that when she came back from England she would be different, better somehow.

She’s not; in fact I think she’s worse.

The last thing she needed was to be dragged to a foreign country.

I’m not sure how many times she visited you grave, or if she’s visited at all, she doesn’t talk any more, so I don’t know.

I used to think I was the strongest person in the group, and that I held it together.

I was wrong. You were the one that held us together.

Everyone coped ok after I died, but now, now I wish I was dead instead of you.

Xander tries to make jokes, and then he’ll say something that reminds him of you, and he’ll start to cry.

Anya’s a mess because she’s lost her closest friend.

Dawn’s lost her second mother.

Giles has lost one of his daughters.

I’ve lost my most trusted confidant.

And Willow, Willow’s lost her soul.

It’s almost as if Willow died with you.

Her spirit went with you, and her body stayed here.”

Buffy stood up when she felt tears come to her cheeks.

She took one last look at Tara’s Grave, and started to walk home.

A few hours before the sun rose, Spike made his way towards Willy’s bar. As he walked past Tara’s grave, he stopped (un)dead in his tracks. The grave had been dug open, but there was no body inside.

Chapter three: No More Death

“And death shall be no more.

Death, thou shalt die.”

John Donne (1572-1631)

“Now do you believe me?” Spike asked as he and Buffy stood over Tara’s empty grave.

“Oh my God!” Buffy shouted.

She couldn’t believe what she was seeing. Tara’s grave was completely open, and Tara was nowhere to be found.

“ How did this happen Spike?” She asked.

“How should I know? I came out and saw it like this, I looked around, but there was no sign of her.”

“Ok, ok, we…we need to think Spike. Someone must have taken her, or dug her up. She couldn’t have got out that coffin herself.” Buffy said.

“Couldn’t she have used magic to get out?” Spike asked.

“Maybe…maybe not. I just wish we knew what happened. Maybe someone didn’t take her, maybe Willow did a spell or…” Buffy was abruptly cut off by Spike.

“Buffy, when you were brought back, the first place you went was the place you died wasn’t it?” He asked.

Buffy, nodded. Then the realisation hit her. “Oh god, Tara, she’s gonna be going to the house. She’s gonna see Willow.”

“Let’s go!” Spike said, as he and Buffy headed in the direction of Buffy’s house.

~*~*~*~*~

“Oh God.” Dawn says. She is standing at Tara’s grave.

“Dawn, what happened here?” A voice behind her asks. She turns to see it’s Xander.

“I don’t know. I heard Spike telling Buffy she was gone, I don’t know how…what are you doing here?” She asked him.

“I came to visit. Dawn, do you think Willow did this?” He asked.

“No, she…she never left the house today and she was so sad. I think if she’d done this she would have been happy.

“So what’s happened? Who would want to take a dead body? God I…I don’t understand.” Xander said.

“This shouldn’t have happened, not to Tara.” Dawn says, as she begins to cry. Xander puts his arms around her.

“Dawn, we have to go, we have to find Buffy and find out what’s happening, ok?”

Dawn nods, and they walk out of the cemetery together.

~*~*~*~*~

Buffy and Spike were running towards Buffy’s house. They turned a street collided with someone. Buffy stood up, and couldn’t believe who she saw staring back at her.

“Tara.” She stepped forward. “Oh god, it’s you. I can’t believe it.”

Buffy slowly walked towards Tara and put her arms around her. Tara returned the hug, and started to cry.

Buffy pulled back and looked her in eye. “Sshh, it’s ok, I wanted to go back to at first.”

“No,” Tara said. “No?” Buffy questioned. “No, I don’t want to go back!”

“What do you want Tara. Tell us, and we’ll get it for you.” Buffy said.

“I want Willow.” Tara replied.

“She’s at the house; we were on our way there.” Spike said.

“What?! Spike!” Buffy turned and shouted.

She turned to Tara, “We’ll be back in a minute.” She said as she pulled Spike far away enough so that Tara couldn’t hear them, but close enough for Buffy to keep an eye on Tara.

“Spike, we can’t take her back to the house yet!” Buffy said to him. “Why not?” The vampire asked.

“Willow wouldn’t be able to handle it, not yet.” Buffy replied sadly.

“What are you talking about Buffy? Willow’s been mourning over Tara for months, and Tara’s obviously missed her, why can’t we put them back together?” He asked.

“Spike, we can’t just take Tara home right away, we need to find out how this happened, and we need to talk to Willow first.”

Spike nodded, and they walked back over to Tara.

“Tara,” Buffy began, “Tara, do you know how this happened?” She asked.

Tara shook her head, “no, I just remember waking up next to my grave, I didn’t see or hear anybody.”

“Buffy, I want to go home now.” She said.

“Tara, we can’t, not yet, there’s something you need to know fist.” The slayer replied.

“I know Buffy; I know what she did to Warren, to you, and to herself.” Tara stated.

“How do you know?” Buffy asked.

“I saw it all, from where I was Buffy. I saw it all and I forgive her. If it had been the other way around, I probably would have been worse.” Tara replied.

“I just don’t think she’s ready to see you yet Tara, she might not be able to handle it.”

“Buffy, with or without you, I’m going to see Willow.” Tara said.

Buffy sighed, “Ok, let’s go home.” She said.

Summary: Tara’s back, but is it really her?

Setting: Set during the summer between seasons six and seven.

Chapter Four: Three Years.

“Three years she grew

In sun and shower.”

William Wordsworth (1770-1850)

Spike, Buffy and Tara were standing at Buffy’s front door.

Tara moved to walk in; But Buffy stopped her by blocking the door.

“Tara, please, she’s not ready for this. Can you just wait in the living room with Spike while I go talk to her?” She asked.

Tara nodded reluctantly, and let Spike lead her into the living room while Buffy walked upstairs.

Buffy knocked on the bedroom door. “Will?” She asked. She got no response, so she walked in. She found Willow still sitting on the bed.

The bed was still covered in photographs. Buffy walked forward and sat on the end of the bed.

“Willow, there’s something I need to tell you. You’re probably not going to believe this, but it’s true. I promise you Willow, it’s true.

There’s somebody downstairs that wants to see you. And she’s…” Buffy was interrupted be Willow

“It’s three years next month.” She said sadly. Buffy was relieved Willow had finally spoken to her, but she didn’t understand.

She couldn’t be talking about the anniversary of Taras’ death, because that was months away. “Three years since what?” She asked.

“Since I met her.” Willow replied. Buffy sighed, “Oh.” She said. Willow smiled a little, for the first time since Tara’s death. “Do you remember what she was like when she first met you?” Willow asked.

Buffy smiled back at her. “Yeah, I remember, she was so shy, and quiet.” Willow nodded, “I think she was afraid you didn’t like her.” She replied. Buffy looked shocked, “She thought I didn’t like her?” She asked.

Willow shook her head, “no, she realised after a while how much she meant to us all, I think she just hard time accepting that we loved her for who she was. But it got a lot better, after that thing with her ‘family’, she realised after that how essential she was.” She said.

They sat in silence for a few minutes, then Willow spoke, “It’s wierd, when we first met, she was so insecure, and quiet. Like she believed she didn’t deserve anyone. Look at what she became. She became the strongest of us all. All it took to turn her into the person she really was inside was three years.” She said, a mixture of happiness and sadness in her voice.

Buffy shook her head, “no Willow, all it took was you” She said.

~*~*~*~*~*~*

Tara and Spike were sitting on the couch in the living room. “So, do you know what’s happened since you’ve been away?” Spike asked.

Tara nodded, “yeah, I know everything, and I don’t care Spike. I love her; I don’t care about what she has done!” Tara said angrily.

“Look, I’m only saying that if she sees you again, it might send her out of control. I mean, you died in her arms for god’s sake!”

Tara stood up, “you think I don’t know that? You think I don’t understand how she feels?” She shouted.

Spike also stood up. “No, I’m not saying that. I just think it’s going to be too much at once.” He said, trying to calm her down.

“What do you know?” She said, as she ran upstairs

Spike tried to stop her, but she was too late. She burst into Willow’s room, and found her lover talking to Buffy. Willow froze when she saw her lover. Tears formed in her eyes.

“Tara?”

~*~*~*~*

Dawn and Xander walked into the Summers’ home. “Buffy!” Dawn yelled.

Spike appeared from the kitchen. “Hey,” The vampire said.

“What are you doing here?” Xander asked angrily.

“Buffy let me come. She’s upstairs.” Spike replied.

“I need to see her, now!” Dawn said. She tried to get past Spike, but he stopped her.

“Hang on now pet. You can’t go upstairs, not now.” He said.

“Why not?” Dawn asked

Spike sighed, “I think you should sit down, both of you.” He said.

Dawn wouldn’t move. “Tell me!” She demanded.

“There’s somebody upstairs that you’re going to be a little shocked to see.” He began.

Dawn bit her lip. Could this be happening? Was Spike really going to say that Tara was back, that she was alive?

“Who??” Xander asked.

Spike looked straight at them. “Tara.”

Dawn ran up the stairs. Spike and Xander followed her. She burst into Willow’s room, where she saw Willow and Buffy sitting on the bed, and Tara standing by the door.

Dawn looked straight at Tara, tears running down her cheeks.

“You’re Home.”

Summary: Tara’s back, but is it really her?

Setting: Set during the summer between seasons six and seven.

Chapter five: Alive

‘The highest heights I’d jump for you,

And into the deepest seas I’d dive.

Because when I feel you’re arms around me,

That’s when I’m really alive.’

Willow froze completely. She thought she was in another one of her dreams where Tara came rushing into her room and kissed her.

However, this didn’t feel like a dream. There was Tara standing in front of her. Her hair was dirty and tangled, her face was streaked with mud, and her clothes were ripped. And yet, Willow thought, she looked beautiful.

Willow wanted to rush forward and kiss Tara, and tell her she loved her. But she just needed to look at her. To look at the woman she was madly in love with, and who she thought she would never see again.

Tara eyes were focused on Willow’s. She knew she had been brought back, and she had felt so lost walking around Sunny-Dale. But looking into Willow’s eyes, she knew was home.

“Tara!” Dawn cried as she threw herself into the witches’ arms. Tara hugged her back as-well, but desperately wanted to be near Willow.

“I can’t believe it! Is it really you?” Dawn asked.

Tara nodded, “it’s me.”

“How? I don’t understand.” Dawn said.

“I don’t either sweetie, I’m just happy to be back. I never wanted to leave like that.” Tara replied.

“Did Willow-”

“No, she didn’t. I don’t know who did.” Tara said.

“Will, are you ok?” Buffy asked.

Willow nodded and stood up. Dawn moved away from Tara.

Willow touched Tara’s cheek. She traced her face; she remembered all the times she had caressed Tara’s face and kissed her lips. She felt like screaming with joy and crying at the same time.

“How?” Willow whispered.

Tara put her arms around Willow. She was crying.

“I don’t know baby, but I’m home.” She replied.

“I’m so sorry.” Willow said as she began to cry.

“What, why?” Tara asked.

“You didn’t deserve this. You didn’t deserve to be pulled out of heaven Tara.” Willow sobbed.

Tara leaned forward and kissed Willow gently. Willow thought she had literally died and gone to heaven. She had never thought she would feel the softness of Tara’s lips again, or Tara’s strong arms around her.

They pulled apart after what seemed like a lifetime. Although they lips were parted their bodies were just as close.

“God baby, is it really you?” Willow asked, frightened she was dreaming.

“It’s really me Willow. God, from the moment I was taken from all I’ve wanted is to come back. All I want is to be with you. Heaven wasn’t Heaven without you there baby.” She said.

Their tears mingled, and their breaths became the same. They leaned their foreheads together and gazed into each other’s eyes.

Buffy couldn’t believe it was really true either. She had prayed for this day. She didn’t just want Tara back to save Willow, or because Dawn missed her. She wanted Tara back because Tara was an amazing human being, and an incredible friend. But there was one problem.

“Uh, guys.” She began.

They looked at her, not breaking their hold on one another.

“I don’t mean to spoil the moment, but there’s one little problem in all of this. Who did bring Tara back?”

Summary: This is a vamp Willow/Tara story about true love

Setting: Set after the Season three episode ‘Revelations’.

Note: The kissing between Xander and Willow in season three never happened in this story.

Willow was tired. She had waited for Buffy and Xander to turn up at the Bronze for an hour before deciding to leave. Just because Buffy and Xander had differences didn’t mean they all had to avoid each other. She had thought about calling Oz, but she just didn’t seem that interested in him anymore. The novelty of having a boyfriend had worn off. He was more like a friend now.

She knew she shouldn’t be walking alone after dark, but she didn’t really care. If Buffy was worried about her best friend getting attacked by vampires then she should be with her, not at home sulking, or even worse, with Angel.

And Xander. Willow didn’t know what to think of him anymore. Where had her best friend gone? He had turned into some bumbling idiot who never thought about other peoples feelings. Worst of all, he was dating Cordelia.

As she walked, she thought she could feel someone behind her. But she wasn’t scared. The feelings she was getting were calming her, like someone was watching over her, making sure she was safe.

Then she saw her. Standing in the corner looking back at her. The most beautiful woman, no, person, that Willow had ever seen in her life. She was just gorgeous. She had long blonde hair, and beautiful blue eyes, and she was dressed all in leather.

Willow didn’t feel surprised at thinking another girl was gorgeous, and not in the jealous way. Maybe this was why she didn’t feel anything with Oz. Maybe this was the thing that was missing in her life.

She finally looked up and saw the girl staring into her eyes. The girl smiled at her slightly, a breathtaking smile. Willow felt like she was going to faint. Her heart was beating so fast she thought it was going to explode. Was this girl real? Was she really standing in front of Willow smiling at her?

She didn’t know what to say. She would have been happy enough to stand and stare into this woman’s eyes for the rest of her life. She felt so calm, so complete. Nothing else mattered at that moment. All she wanted to do was kiss the goddess in front of.

Who was she?

Tara smiled back at the redhead in front of her. She was beautiful. More beautiful than anyone Tara had ever seen before. She looked so young, so carefree. And Tara wondered how that must feel.

Although she was hungry and ready to eat the next person that walked by. She didn’t want to hurt this girl. She didn’t want to cause her any pain. She wanted to be with her. She wanted to know her name. She wanted to kiss her.

The girl looked no more than eighteen. Tara wondered why she was walking alone at night. She obviously didn’t know that there were things in Sunnydale that people should be afraid of. But Tara didn’t want the girl to be afraid of her.

“Hi” she heard the redhead say shyly, Tara smiled again, “hey, you um, you really shouldn’t be walking here alone at night.” Tara said quickly, fighting the urge to bite the girl’s delicious looking neck.

“Why not? You are.” Willow replied.

“I’m not afraid of anything.” Tara said simply.

Willow moved closer towards her, “why not?” She asked.

Tara wanted to lunge forward and kiss her, but waited until she knew what the girl wanted.

“What’s your name?” Tara asked, avoiding having to answer the question.

“Willow, what’s yours?”

“Tara.”

Willow smiled, “its pretty.” She said flirtatiously.

“So are you.” Tara replied

Willow smiled shyly, not knowing what to say.

“So, I take it your not with anyone tonight?” Tara asked.

Willow shook her head, secretly hoping the question was an invitation to spend time with Tara. “No, I’m alone.” She said.

Tara smiled and moved closer, “what, no boyfriend to keep you company?” She asked seductively.

Willow gulped nervously, “uh…no, no boyfriend.” She wasn’t really lying, Oz was hardly much of a boyfriend anyway.

“So, it’s just you and me then.” Tara said.

“I guess so.”

“Willow?” Tara asked, moving even more towards the new object of her affections.

“Yeah?” The redhead asked.

“Have you ever kissed another girl before?” Tara asked.

Willow shook her head, “no.”

“Have you ever wanted to?” Tara asked.

“Not until just now.” Willow replied bravely.

Tara smiled, and moved so that her lips were almost touching Willow’s.

“Me too”, she said before kissing Willow.

The kiss started out slowly, but the longer it lasted, the more the passion increased. Willow pulled back eventually, breathless.

“That was um…wow.” She said dreamily.

Tara nodded her agreement and nuzzled Willow’s neck. “Willow, do you trust me?” She asked.

“I shouldn’t, I mean, I’ve only just met you, but…yeah I trust you.” Willow replied.

Tara smiled against her neck and morphed into her vampire form.

“I want to make you happy Willow.” She said quietly, before her fangs pierced Willow’s neck.

Willows eyes opened widely. Tara was biting her. Why? The feeling was like nothing she had ever felt before. She could feel herself losing consciousness. She couldn’t think, she couldn’t move, she couldn’t breathe.

Setting: Set after the Season three episode ‘Revelations’.

Note: The kissing between Xander and Willow in season three never happened in this story.

Tara started to bite lighter when she felt Willow’s heart start to weaken. She pulled back and raked her nail across her collar-bone, blood pouring out. She pulled Willow’s mouth to her neck and let her drink.

~*~*~*~*~*~*

“Hey guys.” Buffy said as she entered the library. She could sense the tension in the air before she even entered the room; she knew her friends were still mad with her for keeping Angel’s return a secret, but as least Willow understood.

“Buffy! Thank god you’re here.” Giles said.

“Why, what’s wrong? Where is everyone?” She asked as she saw only Giles and Cordelia sitting round the table.

“It’s Willow, she didn’t arrive home last night. We don’t know where she is.” He said worriedly.

“What, what do you mean? Do Oz and Xander know?” She asked, the panic obvious in her voice.

Giles nodded, “they’re out looking for her. We were trying to contact you last night where were you?” Giles asked.

Buffy looked down guiltily. While her best friend was missing, she had been with Angel.

“Oh,” was all Giles said, feeling stupid for even having to ask.

“I’ll find her.” Was all Buffy said before she walked out of the library.

~*~*~*~*

Willow awoke feeling funny. She looked around and didn’t know where she was. She was in someone else’s bed, wearing someone else’s clothes. The only thing she could feel was her hunger.

She looked over and saw Tara carefully looking out of the window, and the memories of the night before came flooding back to her.

“Tara?” She asked

Tara turned and was by her side in a second.

“Willow, I didn’t think you'd be up yet, how are you, are you ok.”

“I don’t know, I mean, I’m a vampire but I don’t feel…”

“What?” Tara asked.

Willow sighed, “I don’t know, I’m just so hungry.”

“Tara walked over to the dresser in her bedroom and picked up a jar of blood.

“I forgot to bring someone to you; this is all I’ve got just now.” She said as she handed the jar to Willow.

“What is it?” Willow asked

“Pig’s blood.” Tara replied.

Willow tore off the lid and drank. She was so hungry and thirsty at the same time. She finished the jar and threw it aside. She didn’t know what was going on.

“Tell me what you’re thinking.” Tara said as she sat beside Willow on the bed.

“I just feel so…alive. Kind of ironic huh? The only time in my life I feel most alive is when I’m dead.” Willow replied.

Tara smirked slightly, “just think, you’re gonna feel this way forever.” She said before kissing Willow’s neck.

Willow stiffened at the touch and Tara pulled back. “What’s wrong?” She asked.

“Nothing,” Willow replied. She leaned forward and kissed Tara lightly. “I just wanna go out and have some fun.”

“Well, we could have fun here.” Tara said seductively, nuzzling Willow’s neck.

Willow shook her head and said, “no, I wanna go pay a visit to my friends…I wanna surprise them.” She got up and pulled Tara out of the door with her, both of them smiling evilly.

~*~*~*~*~

Buffy, Giles, Xander, Cordelia and Oz had all met in the library, after no-one had been able to find Willow. It was late and they were all tired, but they were so worried they couldn’t sleep.

“Where else could she be? We’ve looked everywhere!” Xander said desperately, as he sat down next to Cordelia.

“We’ll find her Xander!” Buffy said sharply. She didn’t want her friends to know that she was growing increasingly worried for the whereabouts of Willow.

“She’s not hurt though, wherever she is.” Oz said quietly, more to himself than anyone else.

“Right, well, we need to form a plan just in case anything bad has happened, then we can-”

Giles was interrupted by the library door opening and Willow walking towards them followed by a blonde girl. Both of them wee dressed in leather.

“Well done Rupert, always have to plan everything don’t you?” Willow asked sarcastically.

Everyone froze; they were all shocked at the sight. This was obviously not Willow.

“These are your friend’s baby? Wow, I thought you had more taste!” Tara said as she snuggled into her new girlfriend and kissed her lightly.

“What can I say darling, I was going through a phase.” Willow said as she kissed Tara again, more forcefully and passionately.

They pulled back and stared at each other for a few minutes until Oz finally broke the silence.

“Willow, what the hell happened to you?!” He asked.

He walked towards her but was stopped by Tara.

“Hey, who do you think you are? Don’t talk to my girl like that!” She said angrily as she pushed him back.

“Excuse me, but your girl just happens to be my girl!” Oz said angrily.

“Oz, maybe you should back away.” Buffy said quietly. She wasn’t sure that Willow’s new…friend was human, and whatever the reason was for Willow getting involved with her, Buffy wanted to find out without anyone getting hurt.

“No Buffy! Who the hell does this woman think she is? She walks in here kissing my girlfriend like it’s perfectly okay! Willow, where the hell have you been, we’ve been worried sick!” Oz said, his voice more raised than it had ever been before.

“First of all Oz, I’m not your girlfriend anymore, and second of all, her name is not ‘this woman’, its Tara!” Willow said angrily.

Buffy stood up and spoke, “Will, what’s wrong with you?” She asked. She had never seen Willow act like this before.

“Nothing, I've never felt this good before in my life.” Willow replied.

She turned to Tara, “and it’s all down to this blonde haired goddess.” She said as she kissed her.

When the two vampires finally came up for air, they turned back and faced the others.

Everyone stood frozen to the spot as they saw Willow’s beautiful face had become that of a vampire’s, and so had Tara’s.

“Now,” Willow began, she took Tara’s hand and they walked even closer towards the others.

“It’s time for us to really have some fun!”

Giles was the only one that acted quickly enough. He grabbed the crucifix he kept in his pocket and held it in front of Willow. She growled and stepped back angrily.

“Hey! Do you want me to kill you?” Tara asked angrily.

Buffy walked forward to her best friend, she was too worried to be scared.

“Will...how?” She asked quietly.

Willow smiled, “don’t feel bad for me slayer, I’ve never felt this happy in my life.”

“When did this happen?” Buffy asked.

Tara laughed, “Does it really matter? The small insignificant details are always what you think about aren’t they slayer?”

“Don’t you dare talk to me!” Buffy said angrily.

Tara stepped closer, “what are you gonna do about it?”

Buffy stared right back at Tara. Willow knew they would start fighting, and she didn’t want that, not yet. She stepped in front of Tara.

“Baby, stop, lets go.”

Tara took Willow’s hand in her own and kissed it longingly, staring smugly at Oz. She then turned her gaze to Buffy.

“Don’t worry slayer…we’ll be back.”

Buffy watched her best friend leave, and her eyes filled up with tears. She quickly shook them off. She turned back round to face her friends.

“Giles what are we gonna do?”

“What do you mean?”

Buffy sighed, “We have to do something, get her soul back…something.”

“Buffy-” Giles was cut of by Xander.

“What Giles? She’s right, we have to do something. I’m not leaving Willow with that bitch. It’s not fair…Willow had no choice in this.”

“Yes Xander, but as much as we’d all like Willow back the way she was it’s not simple.”

Buffy let them argue and walked over and sat down beside Oz.

“We’ll get her back.” She said simply.

Oz looked straight at her.

“Will we? I’m not so sure. She’s seems happy enough with her new girlfriend.”

He said angrily.

Buffy could see he was crying.

“It’ll be okay.” She said.

“How? How can it be okay? She’s the only person I’ve ever loved Buffy.”

Buffy didn’t say anything else, because there was nothing she could say. She pulled him into a hug.

And they both sat crying for Willow.

Summary: Set during ‘Tough Love’.

Note: Short update. The next one will be longer.

Tara sat alone on the park bench. She couldn’t believe what had happened at Willow’s room. Had she really said those things?

She felt so stupid. She loved Willow with all her soul, and she did trust her. So why hadn’t she gone after her?

She didn’t know the answer. She had hoped Willow would come to her, but there was no sign of her.

And Tara had been too afraid to go back to Willow’s room, incase her lover didn’t want to talk to her.

So she just continued sitting alone on the bench at the fair, wishing Willow was with her.

She wasn’t enjoying herself at all. She had been looking forward to coming to the fair for weeks, but it just wasn’t any fun without Willow.

She felt a hand slip into hers. She smiled, and squeezed the hand, knowing who it was.

She looked up and saw Willow.

“Hey” She said simply. Willow smiled slightly. “Hey.” She replied.

“Willow, I’m sorry. I should never have said those things.” Tara said.

“Do you really think this is just experimentation?” Willow asked. Tara shook her head and squeezed Willows’ hand.

“No, I know this is the real thing. I love you, and you love me. I only said what I said because I was upset.” She said.

Willow smiled. “Good, and I’m sorry too. I didn’t mean what I said. You don’t act as if you know more about stuff than me.” She said.

Tara smiled, “really?” She asked.

Willow nodded, “Really.” She said. She leaned forward and kissed her lover, not caring that people were watching them.

Willow pulled back. “So, are we ok?” She asked.

Tara nodded. “We are.”

“Do you want to take a look round the fair?” Tara asked.

Willow shook her head. “I think we should get back. Giles called before I left. He seemed worried. He said one of Glory’s’ minions was at the shop, and that Glory was looking for the Key, and that we were supposed to go to the Magic shop.”

“I guess we should head there then.” Tara said.

Willow nodded, but neither of them moved. They both just wanted to stay sitting on the bench, gazing into the others’ eyes. Both seeking the forgiveness they already had.

“So you’re not angry about missing the fair?” Willow asked. Tara shook her head.

“I’m here with you, that’s all that matters.” She replied.

“I can’t believe we had our first real fight.” Willow said. Tara smiled slightly, “me neither… that was our last though right?” She asked nervously.

Willow laughed a little. “Absolutely. No more fighting.” She said.

“I told Giles about our fight when he called. He said that it was normal for two people who were in love to fight sometimes. He said that’s what keeps a relationship healthy.” Willow said.

Tara nodded, “I guess, but that doesn’t mean we have to fight a lot.” She said.

Willow nodded. “Yeah, I vote no more fighting.”

“Good, because I hated the feeling of thinking you weren’t speaking to me.” Tara said. Willow smiled. “Me Too.” She replied.

Willow leaned forward to kiss her lover again, but was interrupted by a voice behind them. Willow turned and saw it was Glory.

“Mind if I interrupt?” She asked.

To Be Continued?

Summary: What if Willow had been able to go one week without magic?

Setting: Set during Tara and Willows’ argument in Xander’s apartment in “Tabula Rasa.”

Note; I watched Tabula Rasa again last night, and came up with this fic. This update is short, because I am going on holiday tomorrow morning to Florida for two weeks!

“Go a week. One week without magic.” Tara said sadly. She couldn’t believe it had come to this. Willow had betrayed her, controlled her mind, hurt in ways Tara never imagined.

Things had been great with them, or so Tara had thought. But now, Willow had a problem with magic. She couldn’t stop using it. And it was driving them apart. But Tara loved her, so she was willing to give her one more chance.

“Fine, fine that’s easy.” Willow said. She looked so confused; she actually thought she had been helping their relationship when she cast the spell on Tara.

Tara nodded. “Go a week, and then we’ll see.” She said. Willow’s face fell. Tara sighed, “I don’t know, I just… think we both need some…I don’t know, space.”

Tara’s heart was breaking. Willow looked as thought she was going to burst into tears.

“I can’t believe I’m saying this!” Tara said. All she wanted to do was take Willow into her arms and kiss her and hold her, ands tell her they would be alright. But she couldn’t.

She needed to be strong; she needed Willow to know that that what she did to her was wrong.

“Are you saying you’re gonna leave me?” Willow asked. Tara looked up at her, tears forming in her eyes.

“I don’t know.” She said

“Tara, I know this is bad, but please…please don’t leave me. I love you; I love you more than anything. I know I messed up, but I’ll do what you asked. I’ll go a week without magic, or a month if you like. I’ll do whatever it takes. Please Tara; we’ve been through too much together to just give up.” Willow pleaded.

“How do I know if this is the first time huh? I mean, we could have had this conversation dozens of times, and you could have made me forget!” Tara said.

“NO! No Tara, I swear this is the first time. You can do a truth spell if you like.” Willow said.

“This is exactly what I’m talking about. Every time there’s a problem, your solution is to do a spell. I don’t want to have to resort to casting truth spells on you. I want to be able to trust you, like I used to, and I want you to be honest with me Willow.” Tara shouted.

“I am, I mean, I always have been. It was just this one time. And I didn’t do it because I wanted to hurt you. I did it because I wanted you to be happy. I wanted us to be happy.” Willow said.

“We were happy Willow. We could have been happy now. We could have talked about the argument we had and settled it, instead of having to go through this. “Tara replied.

“So what happens now? I go a week and then what?” Willow asked.

“If you can go one full week without magic, to show me that there are more important things to you, and show me that I can trust you, then I’ll stay. If not, then I go.” Tara said.

“Do you want to go?” Willow asked. Tara’s head shot up. “What?! How can you even ask me that? Of course I don’t want to go. I love you Willow. I wanted to spend the rest of my life with you.” She replied.

“And now?” Willow asked. Tara sighed. “Now, all I want is to be able to trust you again.”

“But you can trust me Tara, you know you can. I know I screwed up, but you’ve not always been honest with me.” Willow said, referring to the spell Tara cast on her and the scoobies when Tara’s family came.

“That was different!” Tara shouted. She couldn’t believe Willow had the cheek to bring that up. Tara had good reasons for casting that spell on her friends.

“How?” Willow asked. Tara sighed, “Because, I was protecting you from what I was, or what I thought I was.” She said.

“And that’s what I was doing Tara, I was trying to protect your from our fight. I didn’t want you to remember what I had said to you.” Willow replied.

“What did you say to me?” Tara asked suddenly.

“What?” Willow asked. “The things you made me forget, what were they?” Tara asked.

“Tara,” Willow began, “no, Willow, please. Tell me, you owe me that.” Tara said firmly.

Willow sighed. “We were at the Bronze, looking for Dawn. You suggested asking security, but I thought it would be faster doing a spell to find her.”

Tara laughed, “What a surprise.” She said bitterly. “What spell was it then?” She asked.

Willow took a deep breath. She knew Tara wouldn’t like this. “I was going to shift everyone who wasn’t Dawn into an alternate dimension.” She said.

Tara jumped out her chair. “What?!” She shouted. Willow stood up also. “No, no it wasn’t gonna be for long, less than a second even, none of them would have noticed.” She said.

“That doesn’t make any difference. God Willow, you really don’t understand magic do you? It’s not about power, it’s about learning, and respect things, not using and controlling them.” Tara said.

She walked past Willow and headed for the door. “Tara wait!” Willow shouted. Tara stopped walking, but didn’t turn around.

“What?” She asked. Willow walked to her and took her hands. Tara didn’t respond, but she didn’t pull away either, which Willow took as a good sign.

“What happens now?” Willow asked. Tara sighed. “I think we should go home, and try to sort this out properly. But I mean it Willow, one week without magic; do you really think you can do it?” Tara asked.

Willow smiled for the fist time that day. “For you I can do anything.” Tara tried to hide her smile. Maybe Willow really could live without magic, but she would have to wait until the week ended to know for sure.

“So, are we gonna be, y’know, ok this week?” Willow asked. She didn’t think she could handle a week with Tara giving her the silent treatment, or worse, arguing with her.

“If you really try to make this work, we’ll be ok forever.” Tara replied.

Willow smiled. “I will, and I’ll make all this up to you, I promise, just wait and see.” She said.

Tara squeezed her hands. “I…” She stopped, unsure if she should say it or not.

“You what?” Willow asked.

“I believe you.” She said honestly. Willow smiled, and they walked out of the apartment together.
