Title: I Surrender

Rating: G
Disclaimers: Same old story, Willow and Tara belong to Joss, yadda yadda yadda. I’m just a fan expressing her love, making no money with this at all.
Feedback: Again, same old. Yes please, I wanna become a better writer, tell me what I do wrong! Or right, I like it when people tell me what I do right too
Distribution: Sure, take it, do with it what you want. Well, don’t change the story please

Oh, and tell me where you have put it up

Thanks!
Dedication: To the people who read this. To the characters Willow and Tara, special dedication to Amber Benson and Alyson Hannigan. More special dedication to my girl, Liliana.
POV: Tara
Summary: Our girls are getting married, yay. This is Tara’s perspective on marriage, and her love for Willow.
To surrender…. To some people surrendering might sound really negative, to me it doesn’t. To me, it’s all about commitment, about giving myself. Totally give myself, that is. Heart, mind, body and soul. To do that freely, and completely out of love.
I surrendered to Willow a long time ago. When I look back, I find out that I did that the moment our hands touched in the laundry room, while trying to hide from the Gentlemen.
There was something special about that moment. And even though months passed before Willow and I shared our first kiss, we both know that our relationship started at that one moment. Two hands, finding each other…. But it wasn’t about those hands finding each other. It was about two souls finding each other.
That was the moment that I surrendered to Willow. And it was the moment she surrendered to me, I know that for sure. I felt it back then, and I still feel it.
Even though we surrendered such a long time ago, today will be the day we will officially surrender to one another. Because today is the day we will get married. After years together, we feel the moment is right to make that commitment for the rest of our lives.
So, here I am, wearing a beautiful wedding dress. I am nervous. Not about spending the rest of my life with the woman I love, not about stuttering when I have to say ‘I do’. I am just nervous that I will trip when I have to walk down that isle. Thank god I have Giles by my side. Talking about him, there he is… this is the moment. He holds out his arm and I stand up to take it. It all feels so surreal. Before I know it, I am outside, at the edge of the carpet. I look up and my heart skips a beat. Why? Because I see Willow. Beautiful Willow. She’s wearing a white suit that looks just great on her. No, not great, perfect. The most perfect of perfect-ness.
I feel a gentle tug at my arm. Oh yeah, walking. I’m supposed to walk towards Willow now. I’m surprised my legs even know how to work. We say our vows, and before I even realize it she tells me ‘I do’. And after that, I tell her ‘I do’ as well. We share the classic kiss.
Our life together has just begun. And even though all of our guests heard us say ‘I do’, I know what we really both have said. “I surrender”
The End
Patricia
