1.1 Vergilius
Willow sat down in the magic shop. She was studying the books to find out more information about the demon Buffy was dealing with. She was all by herself, almost burried in a huge amounts of books that were all over the table.
She couldn’t find a thing that looked like Buffy’s description from the demon she met last night. She was bored. “Why was she spending this beautiful saturday afternoon with books. The sun is shining, everything looks so perfect and I’m here in this shop with no one around” she thought staring at the huge amount of books.
She decided to stop with the research thing. It was leading nowhere.
She placed the books back on the shelves when she spotted an interesting spell book. The book instantly caught her eye. “I haven’t seen that one before.” She thought. “I really thought I knew every book in this shop, but apparently not” She decided to ask Anya where the book came from. “Anya!” she shouted. There was no reaction. “Anya!” she tried again but she didn’t hear a thing. “oh man” she thought. She knew Anya was there but she was just not replying, she was probably busy counting money or something. Willow decided to do thing the other way.
“Anya Xander is here!” Willow hoped it would help. Bringing Xander on topic always seem to get the girls attention.
“I’m coming!” Anya shouted from the basement. Anya ran up the stairs, she was looking around the shop when she noticed Willow smiling.
“You tricked me right? You tricked me!” she said with an angry sound in her vioce. “I can’t believe you did that! You tricked me!”
“Relax Anya,” Willow said. “I wanted to ask you a question that only you can know.” She knew that by turning the question that way Anya would be flattered and forgot her anger.
“Ok tell me, what is it” Anya replied. “If it has to do something with vengeance you can always ask me anything, I still know some...”
“Anya please” Willow interrupted her. “That was not really the direction I was going to. I wanted to know where this book came from. I’ve never seen it around I think.”
“Oh.. that stupid Virgilius book!” Anya replied. “I ordered it 2 weeks ago for some chick. But she never returned to actually buy it and give me money for it. So it’s new, you haven’t seen it around yet. I placed it on the shelves yesterday.”
“Ok thanks An, that was all I needed to know” Willow grinned.
Anya pulled a weird face. “Was that all? Was that why you tricked me to come over here? Just because of that stupid Virgilius book? I just can’t believe that!”
Anya’s mood went all the way back to where it was when she came upstairs and noticed Xander wasn’t around.
Just when Willow was getting angry because of Anya’s behaviour she heard the door bell from the shop ringing.
Xander walked in, trying to make a less sound as possible. He was hiding a big bouquet of flowers behind his back.
“Xander!” Anya instantly forget she was argueing with Willow.
Willow found her way back to the table, while Xander and Anya were heading to the basement.
Willow was very curious about the book, like she was with all magical things she’d never seen or heard of before. She started to open the book, called Vergilius and started reading. She was completely into the book when the bells on the door rang again. “Stupid annoying bells!” Willow thought. “What’s with the ringing and disturbing” Willow focused back on the book. There were some real interesting things in it.
In the doorway there was a blonde girl. She walked in kinda carefull and started looking around the shop. She started studying the bookshelves, obviously searching for a book, but she couldn’t seem to find it. The girl decided to ask.
She walked towards the table where Willow was in very deep concentration by reading the book.
“Excuse me?” the blonde girl asked. At those words Willow jumped from her chair. She was so into the book that she hadn’t noticed the girl approaching her.
“I...I’m s..s...sorry.” The blonde girl whispered turning red. “I...I d..didn’t mean to...”
“It’s okay” Willow replied. “It’s not your fault. I was kinda focused reading a book” She looked down at the floor where the book had dropped. “What was it that you wanted to know?” Willow asked the blonde.
The blonde turned her head towards Willow. “I was searching for a book, but I c..can’t seem to find it anywhere.” The blonde said. “They said you had it here.”
“What book are you talking about?” Willow asked. “I don’t own the shop, but I might be able to help you, since i know almost every book in this shop.”
“You.. you come here a lot then?” The blonde asked
“Uhmm yeah... everyday, my friends owns the shop. I just love going through all the books and in this way I don’t need to buy the books, so most of my spare time I use to sit here and read the books. It's very cool, but that annoying bell at the door really need to go!” Willow started to babble and all her frustrations about the doorbell came out. “All the time when I’m reading and some one walks in the bells scare me. And Whoop there goes my concentration, along with the sound of the bell, all gone.”
The blonde was forcing herself not to laugh at the redhead that was babbling in front of her. She tought it was cute. She decided to take the book from the floor and so was Willow.
They both reahed the book at the same time. Their hands touched for a brief moment. They both looked up, staring in each others eyes. What was that feeling? It was as if their powers fused together or something.
“Wow!” Willow said. “What was that?”
The blonde broke the eye contact looking at the ground.
“I...I.. don’t know” she answered softly. “It... I.. I.. need to go” The blonde went up on her feet again, and walked out of the shop.
She left Willow with over a milions of questions.
Willow sat down at the floor. She was very confused, why did the girl rushed of after that spark? Was she the only one that felt it? No that couldn’t be... else the girl wouldn’t ran of right? And what was with that spark? It was like Willow was recieving energy from the blonde. She could feel her skin tingle at the place where it met the blonde’s hand. This was al so very weird. And then the rush off.
Willow wanted to ask Anya, if she knew anything about this. After all being a thousands of years old ex-vengeance demon, she might have some more knowlegde about this then she had herself. Then she reminded Anya probably still being mad about her, because of the joke she made earlier. And the presence of Xander didn’t make it much more easy to disturb in that basement.
Willow grabbed the book from the floor and sat down at the table again.

The blonde started to walk slower. She had rushed out of the shop to be af far away from it as possible. What was that? Why did she suddenly feel the urge to run off. She walked down to quiet streets of Sunnydale.
She hadn’t even time to ask the redhead about the book. She went there because of the book and now she had nothing. Just as much as before she went to the shop. Not quite the way it was supposed to be.
She decided a longer walk would clear her head. She continued walking through the streets of Sunnydale, but she didn’t seem to get the toughts out of her head. She was still thing back to the girl at the shop, to the spark of electricty she felt between them. Why was this having such a big impact on her? She didn’t even knew the girl. Why was she still thinking about her, about her cute babbling, about her beautiful red hair. “Oh come on girl!” she tought “you don’t even know her name.”
She noticed walking any further was not going to clean her heads from all the thoughts so she went back to her dorm, kinda dissapointed that she hadn’t found the book she was looking for and still wondering about the girl she'd just met and the feeling she gave her.
