1.1 Vergilius

Willow sat down in the magic shop. She was studying the books to find out more information about the demon Buffy was dealing with. She was all by herself, almost burried in a huge amounts of books that were all over the table.

She couldn’t find a thing that looked like Buffy’s description from the demon she met last night. She was bored. “Why was she spending this beautiful saturday afternoon with books. The sun is shining, everything looks so perfect and I’m here in this shop with no one around” she thought staring at the huge amount of books.

She decided to stop with the research thing. It was leading nowhere.

She placed the books back on the shelves when she spotted an interesting spell book. The book instantly caught her eye. “I haven’t seen that one before.” She thought. “I really thought I knew every book in this shop, but apparently not” She decided to ask Anya where the book came from. “Anya!” she shouted. There was no reaction. “Anya!” she tried again but she didn’t hear a thing. “oh man” she thought. She knew Anya was there but she was just not replying, she was probably busy counting money or something. Willow decided to do thing the other way.

“Anya Xander is here!” Willow hoped it would help. Bringing Xander on topic always seem to get the girls attention.

“I’m coming!” Anya shouted from the basement. Anya ran up the stairs, she was looking around the shop when she noticed Willow smiling.

“You tricked me right? You tricked me!” she said with an angry sound in her vioce. “I can’t believe you did that! You tricked me!”

“Relax Anya,” Willow said. “I wanted to ask you a question that only you can know.” She knew that by turning the question that way Anya would be flattered and forgot her anger.

“Ok tell me, what is it” Anya replied. “If it has to do something with vengeance you can always ask me anything, I still know some...”

“Anya please” Willow interrupted her. “That was not really the direction I was going to. I wanted to know where this book came from. I’ve never seen it around I think.”

“Oh.. that stupid Virgilius book!” Anya replied. “I ordered it 2 weeks ago for some chick. But she never returned to actually buy it and give me money for it. So it’s new, you haven’t seen it around yet. I placed it on the shelves yesterday.”

“Ok thanks An, that was all I needed to know” Willow grinned.

Anya pulled a weird face. “Was that all? Was that why you tricked me to come over here? Just because of that stupid Virgilius book? I just can’t believe that!”

Anya’s mood went all the way back to where it was when she came upstairs and noticed Xander wasn’t around.

Just when Willow was getting angry because of Anya’s behaviour she heard the door bell from the shop ringing.

Xander walked in, trying to make a less sound as possible. He was hiding a big bouquet of flowers behind his back.

“Xander!” Anya instantly forget she was argueing with Willow.

Willow found her way back to the table, while Xander and Anya were heading to the basement.

Willow was very curious about the book, like she was with all magical things she’d never seen or heard of before. She started to open the book, called Vergilius and started reading. She was completely into the book when the bells on the door rang again. “Stupid annoying bells!” Willow thought. “What’s with the ringing and disturbing” Willow focused back on the book. There were some real interesting things in it.

In the doorway there was a blonde girl. She walked in kinda carefull and started looking around the shop. She started studying the bookshelves, obviously searching for a book, but she couldn’t seem to find it. The girl decided to ask.

She walked towards the table where Willow was in very deep concentration by reading the book.

“Excuse me?” the blonde girl asked. At those words Willow jumped from her chair. She was so into the book that she hadn’t noticed the girl approaching her.

“I...I’m s..s...sorry.” The blonde girl whispered turning red. “I...I d..didn’t mean to...”

“It’s okay” Willow replied. “It’s not your fault. I was kinda focused reading a book” She looked down at the floor where the book had dropped. “What was it that you wanted to know?” Willow asked the blonde.

The blonde turned her head towards Willow. “I was searching for a book, but I c..can’t seem to find it anywhere.” The blonde said. “They said you had it here.”

“What book are you talking about?” Willow asked. “I don’t own the shop, but I might be able to help you, since i know almost every book in this shop.”

“You.. you come here a lot then?” The blonde asked

“Uhmm yeah... everyday, my friends owns the shop. I just love going through all the books and in this way I don’t need to buy the books, so most of my spare time I use to sit here and read the books. It's very cool, but that annoying bell at the door really need to go!” Willow started to babble and all her frustrations about the doorbell came out. “All the time when I’m reading and some one walks in the bells scare me. And Whoop there goes my concentration, along with the sound of the bell, all gone.”

The blonde was forcing herself not to laugh at the redhead that was babbling in front of her. She tought it was cute. She decided to take the book from the floor and so was Willow.

They both reahed the book at the same time. Their hands touched for a brief moment. They both looked up, staring in each others eyes. What was that feeling? It was as if their powers fused together or something.

“Wow!” Willow said. “What was that?”

The blonde broke the eye contact looking at the ground.

“I...I.. don’t know” she answered softly. “It... I.. I.. need to go” The blonde went up on her feet again, and walked out of the shop.

She left Willow with over a milions of questions.

Willow sat down at the floor. She was very confused, why did the girl rushed of after that spark? Was she the only one that felt it? No that couldn’t be... else the girl wouldn’t ran of right? And what was with that spark? It was like Willow was recieving energy from the blonde. She could feel her skin tingle at the place where it met the blonde’s hand. This was al so very weird. And then the rush off.

Willow wanted to ask Anya, if she knew anything about this. After all being a thousands of years old ex-vengeance demon, she might have some more knowlegde about this then she had herself. Then she reminded Anya probably still being mad about her, because of the joke she made earlier. And the presence of Xander didn’t make it much more easy to disturb in that basement.

Willow grabbed the book from the floor and sat down at the table again.

***

The blonde started to walk slower. She had rushed out of the shop to be af far away from it as possible. What was that? Why did she suddenly feel the urge to run off. She walked down to quiet streets of Sunnydale.

She hadn’t even time to ask the redhead about the book. She went there because of the book and now she had nothing. Just as much as before she went to the shop. Not quite the way it was supposed to be.

She decided a longer walk would clear her head. She continued walking through the streets of Sunnydale, but she didn’t seem to get the toughts out of her head. She was still thing back to the girl at the shop, to the spark of electricty she felt between them. Why was this having such a big impact on her? She didn’t even knew the girl. Why was she still thinking about her, about her cute babbling, about her beautiful red hair. “Oh come on girl!” she tought “you don’t even know her name.”

She noticed walking any further was not going to clean her heads from all the thoughts so she went back to her dorm, kinda dissapointed that she hadn’t found the book she was looking for and still wondering about the girl she'd just met and the feeling she gave her.

I liked Willow's annoyance at the door-bell :-) Had me laughing out loud actually.

Anya does order books without advance-payment ? First bookstore in town that does that I'll bet, heh. She'll never do that again :-).

Anyway... why did Tara practically run away ? Strange that she herself didn't even seem to know. She did find the book she was looking for I think, she just didn't realise it yet D.

ok here's another update to my story and please leave feedback comments, questions etc. It's what inspires me to go on and think of the rest of the story!

Update:

1.1 Vergilius part 2

The blonde plumped down at the couch in her dorm. Today’s adventure has really cost all of her energy. She couldn’t believe she acually ran away from the magic shop just because of this girl. Why did she do that? Deep down inside she knew the answer. She liked the girl, she really liked the girl. The spark between them came out because she liked the girl. It scared her, she didn’t know the girl, she doenst’t even know the name and despite all that, there was chemistry between them. She could feel it and she knew the redhead had felt it too.

In all her life she never felt this kind of affection before. But why was she pulling back from it? Why did she ran away. For this one time in her life couldn’t she just be happy?

Her mind started to work like an engine, turning at full speed.

She could smash her head for running away. She moved to Sunnydale to get life of her own, without her father and the nasty memories she had. And finally when she met someone nice, she pulled of and ran away. Almost like she didn’t want herself to be happy.

“This can’t go one like this forever!” she tought. “I need to move on, I need to get a life, I need to be happy, I need to do the things want” The revelation sha made was huge.

Now that she decided she needed to move on. How on earth should she do that. She could of course go back to the shop tomorrow to get the book, but does she have the guts to do that? Who gave her the garuanty she wasnt going to run away again?

She decided she needs to go trough that. Tomorrow she would go back to the shop and ask for the book. She was really hoping the girl would be there again, but when she was, what would she say? Would she appologize? Or just say nothing?

She wanted not to think about that right now. It was time for some proper night sleep. She changed her clothes into her pajamas and went to bed. She slowly turned out the lamps, wondering what tomorrow would bring.

***

Willow was all caught up in the book again. It was really really good. She’d been reading for hours, all caught up in it. She couldn’t let go of it. There were so many interesting facts and spells in it. She really liked to try them sometime, but most of the spells were way to complicated for her.

She stared at the book but the words weren’t reaching her mind anymore. Her toughts had drifted back to the events earlier today. Again she was thinking about all of it. What would have caused the spark she felt? It was the smallest touch you could ever think of.

She’d fallen deeper and deeper into her toughts, but there was no time to actually figured out.

The doorbel rang again and Willow was instantly back on earth. “Oh man, not again” she said out loud.

“What’s with the not again thing Will?” Buffy said while entering the shop.

“oh uhm.. yeah... well...that bell is making me crazy whole day.” Willow replied. She felt like she’d been ripped out of her intimate toughts, but she was so not gonna tell Buffy about them!

“I... I was just reading, well actually I’d been reading almost all day, and then, pling, whoof, there goes the concentration.”

Buffy smiled at Willow, she always made sounds when she couldn’t find the words to express her feelings. “So,” buffy said, “did you find out something about my demon friend?”

Willow was completely awake now. How could she forget. She was so into the new book and today’s events that she completely forgot to continue her research to help Buffy.

“Uhmm not really,” she said. “I’ve been working through a lotta books, a realy lotta books, but uhmm... I couldn’t find anything, really not anything so I went to the shelves to put back the books and then I found this book and I didn’t knew it and...”

“Will! Relax! Buffy interrupted her friends babble-mode

Willow bend her head and looked down at her shoes. “So... I kinda forgot to continue” she said fully ashamed.

“It’s ok!” Buffy said. “I’m just gonna patrol tonight and see if I can find out some more.”

Willow was happy Buffy wasn’t mad. You’ll never know how she reacted. She was happy she didn’t need to explain more things to Buffy. She didn’t feel like telling her best friend about todays events.

“I’m of to patrol now” Buffy said.

“What?! Now already? Why so early?” Willow was confused.

“uhm Wil, you’d better take a look at the clock” Buffy said with a smirk, “It’s almost midnight.”

“What?! Oh my god!” Willow almost shouted. “I’ve been here really almost all day, I really need to get some sleep, I’ve got early morning classes tomorrow” She reminded her busy scedule at school tomorrow.

“I can’t believe I lost track of time”

Willow started to clean up the table she’d been using all day.

“Swept away by the books right?” Buffy smirked.

“Uhmm yeah I really think so, I can’t believe it! I really need to hurry myself into sleep now. Great, just great...”

Willow packed her stuff and went out of the magic shop together with Buffy.

Willow came home and instantly washed her face and laid herself down on her bed. She really needed to get some sleep.

***

The next morning the blonde decided to go to the magic shop before she would go to class. Her class started at 10 so if she’d hurry she would make.

She rushed herself into the shower and after that quickly put on some clothes.

She walked down the streets of early morning Sunnydale. She was wondering if the shop was open already.

As she entered the street where the shop was in she started to hesitate. What if the girl wasn’t there? What if she made a fool of herself?

She really needed to get over that! She decided she was going to enter the shop and she if the girl was there, if not she was just going to ask about the book.

She entered the shop as she heard the doorbell ring again. She smirked a little while she reminded the girl yesterday who was getting so annoyed by the sound of it.

She looked around in the shop, she instantly cast a glance at the table the girl was reading on yesterday, but there was no sign of the girl.

The blonde was disappointed, she wasn’t there. Well the redhead said she was here every minute she had spare time, but how could she ever expect her to be around the shop at 9 am? She was probably in class.

Tara started to hesitate, should she go back now adn check this afternoon if the girl is there? Or should she just ask for the book now and forget about yesterdays events? About the last thing she knew she wasn’t able to forget the events from the day before. She decided to leave the shop and head back to her dorm and try again this afternoon after class.

The whole day the blonde has wondered if she would meet the redhead again this afternoon. She really wanted to get to know the girl. The book doesn’t seem that important anymore, she knew for sure. If it was all about the book she would just have asked for it this morning.

When the bell finally rang it meant that classes were over. The girl took her books and bags and left the classroom, off to the shop again.

***

Willow went to the shop immediately after class. She was anxious to read some more in the book. She wished she could take the book home, but Anya would never allow her without actually buying the book, well maybe she would buy it in the future.

When she entered the shop she grabbed the book and sat down at the table she was always sitting at. It only took a few minutes before the book absorbed her.

Willow totally lost herself in the book again she burried her head in her hands and just sat there, reading the words on the pages fully concentrated.

Suddenly there was the ringing of the bell again.

“What the...? Who on earth is that?” Willow thought. She really wanted to curse the one who was interrupting her. She really hated that doorbell. She looked over in the direction of the door and she really felt like bursting out.

“Can’t you just... Oh hey!” Willow was instantly surprised. “It’s you again!” She was really happy to see the girl again. She’d been wondering all day what was up with the girl.

Tara was shocked and happy at the same time. She was happy the girl was finally there, but what on earth should she say to her?

“I’m terribly sorry about yesterday” Willow said.

: Y..you’re s...sorry?” Tara couldn’t believe what she was hearing.

“Yeah it’s because of those shoes they really annoy me. I have this all the time, whatever I touch whoof electricity” Willow saw the girl was feeling uncomfortable so she was trying to relax the girl a bit, but she was having this explosion of words again, like she always had.

“I.. it.. yesterday... it was not.. e..electricity.. it... no” Tara tried to speak. She wanted to tell the girl that yesterdays events were definatly not caused by static electricity, but she couldn’t get the words out and then what if she told the redhead? What should she say? She couldn’t just tell the girl the truth about what caused the spark. She went into silence after looking in the redhead’s eyes.

“What is it?” Willow asked. “What are you trying to say”

“N.. nothing” Tara replied looking at the ground “It w...was nothing I... me... just being a fool.”

“Oh! I bet you are not!” Willow said instantly. “So what was it you wanted to ask yesterday?” Willow was starting to get curious, obviously this fascinating girl wanted something and she came back for it.

“I.. I .. w..was looking f...for this book,” Tara said. “b..but I couldn’t find it anywhere, s..so I wanted to ask you but then...” Tara didn’t want to talk about the running away.

Willow noticed the girl was embaressed about her reaction yesterday. She was very curious to know why the girl rushed of but she decided not to ask because she noticed how insecure the girl was about it.

“So, what boook you were looking for?” Willow decided to not pay attention to the rest of yesterdays events.

Tara was very relieved Willow didn’t ask any further questions. She tought is was like the girl knew just what to say, it made her feel all weak inside.

“It’s this b...book called Vergilius” Tara replied. She was feeling more comfortable now that the subjest had changed.

“Oh” Willow sighed rather disappointed. She knew she should have bought it right away yesterday, but now the girl who ordered it was going to get it anyway.

“So it was you who orderded the book?” Willow asked.

“N..no I did... didn’t order it, s...someone said I could get it here.”

“Oh!” Willow felt her dissapointment fade away now. “Why don’t you have a seat?”

Tara hesitated and started to blush. The girl was inviting her to join her at the table!

Willow pulled a chair and so Tara couldn’t refuse. She was happy Willow pulled the chair because now she needed to sit down, she was afraid that if Willow hadn’t done that she would have walked away again.

Tara sat down with a still remaining blush on her face.

“So” Willow started again “How come you’re interested in this book?” She wanted to know who she was dealing with before making a distance to the book she liked.

Tara was shocked by the question. What on earth should she say. She couldn’t tell the girl she was a real with or what? Suddenly it had caught her. If the girl was at the shop all this time. Reading all those books, could it be? Well if not... the girl would probably don’t be this shocked as she tought before when she told her her secret. She decided to take the risk.

“I... I’m.. a.. w..w...witch” Tara’s stuttering was increasing with revealing her secret.

“Really?!” Willow bursted “That’s so cool... I mean wow!” Willow never met any other witched before, well yeah she had, but she had this feeling this witch was so different, more like, more like her actually.

Tara was overwhelmed bu the redhead’s reaction. She could tell the girl was freaking from enthusiasm and not freaked in the direct sense on the word.

“Yeah” Tara said “and so was my mother, she... she taught me things.”

“Wicked!” Willow outbursted again “I’m a with too!”

“really?” Tara said. She couldn’t believe this girl was a witch too. She was really happy, she knew the girl was special. She could tell by the first time she saw her.

Willow knew it was ok now to give the girl the book. With her mother being a witch aswell, the book would definatly be better off with the blonde then it was with her.

“Here,” she said “This is the book you were asking for. I found it yesterday when I was doing so demony research. I didn’t recognize the book and when I asked Anya, my friend about it, she told me someone had orderded the book, but never came to get it anymore. So that’s why I tought you was the one who ordered it.” She shove the book towards Tara.

“Oh no” Tara said “You found it first, it’s yours” She wasn’t interested in the book anymore. All she could think of was this girl she’d just met

“No” Willow exclaimed “I want you to have it... I mean... with your mom being a witch.. I...me... I don’t have enough powers anyway” she said with a sad tone in her voice. “there is no way I could ever do a spell from this book, it way to complicated for me”

She could’t believe she just revealed that to a girl from who she didn’t even know her name. She was anxious to get to know the girl better. Maybe the girl could teach her some stuff.

Maybe... she decided to ask the girl for her name and then see where all of this was heading to.

“Can I... I mean... what’s your name?” Willow said

Tara could believe the girl was trusting her already to tell her she had very little power and just like Willow she was wondering about her name.

“I’m Tara, what about you? She decided to ask the question aswell. She was feeling far more at ease, else she’d never had the guts to ask a strange girl for her name.

“I’m Willow” she sighed “I’m sorry it wasn’t my idea to get that name”

“I think it’s beautiful” Tara said confident. She quickly realised what she said. “I... uhmm..”

instead of talking she started to blush again. How on earth could she just say that!

“Well thank you” Willow said. “I think you’re the first one ever saying that.”

Tara sighed with relieve. She pleased the girl by saying her name is beautiful. Thank god she tought.

Suddenly she realised what time it was. She really needed to study, get her homework done and she wanted to have a good night sleep, because last night she didn’t sleep very well.

“I need to go” she said kinda dissapointed. “I need to study, still a lot of work to do.” She told Willow

“Ok, goodbye then, don’t forget the book, oh and don’t forget to pay else Anya will freak right away” Willow said to Tara

“No!” Tara said very confident “I meant what I said earlier, you found the book, so it’s yours not mine!”

Willow was happy the girl didn’t want to take the book, because she liked it so much, but she needed to see the girl more often. She wanted to get to know her. The girl came back today because of the book, but now she didn’t wanted the book anymore. Suddenly Willow had an idea.

“Thanks, for letting me keep the book,” she said “but maybe, well uhmm, perhaps... you’d like to read through it together sometime?

Tara couldn’t believe it! She was feeling a little down, because when not needing the book, she had no excuse to go back to the shop again, but now she had!

“I’d love to Willow” she said

Willow felt all giddy inside. The way the blonde said her name, it was just... wow.

Maybe tomorrow, I mean, if you're not doing something I could . . come over and we could do something. Tara smilied at Willow

Willow was looking uncomfortable. She’d love to spend time with Tara tomorrow but she had this Scooby meeting to go to. She was just wondering how to tell Tara about that. She just couldn’t yet explain all the slayer haunting vampires and demons thing to her.

“Tomorrow . . . That sounds really nice. But tonight I, uh, already have plans with people. Other.” Willow was blushing all over. Why did it had to come out that way.

Tara was disappointed by Willow’s rejection. She really wanted to go and do things with Willow, read the book, maybe even try out some spells, but now...

“Oh. Um, that's okay. Another . . t...time. “

“Absolutely!” Willow said!

“It's just tomorrow, it-it's kind of a specific crowd. You might feel out of place. “

Tara was speechless, she really didnt know what to say anymore. She was feeling all down because of the rejection. How could she ever think the girl would like to see her tomorrow. Of course she had better things to do. She just couldn’t believe she was so naive to think the girl would just have time for her. She decided it was time to leave

“I better go now” she said to Willow. Her voice was kinda sad. Willow noticed the girl’s shift in mood and knew she needed to make it up to her.

“Well, um, I'll see ya later. Okay?” she asked Tara to make sure the girl would notice she definatly wanted to meet her again.

Tara felt a little bit relieved at Willows words she nodded and gave Willow a shy smile, after that she left the shop.

Update:

1.1 Vergilius Part 3

As Tara walked home again she was thinking about Willow, she finally got to know the girl’s name. She was happy that she actually managed to talk to the girl without running away. And the greatest part of all was that Willow was a witch aswell, just like her.

In the past when she still lived at home, she never got the chance to make friends with other witches. She couldn’t even practice the withcraft the last year she lived with her father, because he was firmly against it. He was against all magical things. “There’s no such thing as magic,” he said but even tough he couldn’t find a good explanation for Tara’s revealing powers. He wanted to keep her in the house, so she didn’t get the chance to develop her powers more. Her father brought her to school everyday and picked her up the minute the classes were over and there was no way she could make an excuse for that. He even got a copy of Tara’s timetable, so when classes were finished he was there waiting in the car to pick her up.

There was no way Tara could ever suggest bringing someone with her to come over or something like that. She couldn’t meet anyone outside school. And now things were all different. She had the chance of living her own life. She met a cool girl and the girl liked her aswell. She wanted to meet again she said. Tara was feeling so happy. Never ever could she thought a thing like this to happen. Her making friends and meeting outside school. Alltough she was probably the happiest person in this world at the moment, she really needs to adjust to the thought she can just do whatever she likes. She can meet everyone, without being punished for it, but somehow she felt a little guilty, it kinda felt like she betraying her father, but she decided earlier that that stage was over now! She needed to move on!

She was thinking about Willow and what they would do the next time she’ll meet her. When would they meet again anyway? She couldn’t just go there everytime she wanted to see Willow. What if the girl wasn’t there, just like before. What would the shop owner think if she came by all the time without buying anything?

Tara suddenly realised she didn’t have the girl’s phonenumber or adress, so she wasn’t able to give her a call or a visit. “Like I would have the guts to do that,” she tought to herself.

She was anxious to meet the girl again but knowing a way to make an appointment kinda freaked her out. What if she never saw this girl again? She finally got a friend, but she doesn’t know more about the girl then that her name is Willow and she is a witch. Did she go to the same school? Or was she already out of school and done with studying?

Tara felt confused. She needed to get herself together and so she decided to pour it all away with a cup of creamy coffee.

She found this nice bar last week, where they serve the best coffee she’d ever tasted and as she was a kinda coffee addict of course it was the first thing that came to her.

She always took a cup of coffee when she was confused or sad and of course not to menting her early morning desires for a cup when she just woke up. The first thing she would do in the morning was to get herself one.

She entered the bar and sat down at her table in the corner. She always sat there when the table was free. It didn’t took long before the waiter showed up. “Hey! It’s you again! Same thing as ever? The Cream Coffee?”

“Hey!” Tara replied “The cream one is okay, thank you.” She smirked a little when noticing that visiting this bar was being a regular thing this last few days. Now even the employees started to recognise her.

When the waiter came back with her coffee she started to nip at it right away. She silently drank the wonderful liquid and drifted of thinking and wondering how to make an appointment with Willow.

***

When Willow came back to her dorm, she kinda thought of the same things Tara did earlier. How on earth was she going to make an appointmet to Tara when all she know of the girl was her first name? Of course she could wait for the girl coming to the shop again, but she didn’t feel like waiting today and by the way the only reason why the girl came to the shop was because of this book, now that she didn’t have the book she’d probably not come back again.

Willow turned on the tv but she couldn’t focus on the show that was on. She was still thinking of a way to see the girl again. She needed her adress or whatever, but how was she going to get it?

Suddenly she knew it! She was going to the principal tomorrow, with Willow being his favorite student he might be able to tell her more about Tara, or if he could not, at least she would know if she was at college aswell. The principal knew almost every student, so if he didn’t know a blonde girl named Tara, there was a big chance that she was in another ucollege.

***

The next morning Willow woke up way to early. Her classes wouldn’t start within 3 hours, but nevertheless she was happy she woke up early so she would have all the time in the world to get to the principals office and ask him about Tara.

She went to the bathroom to freshen up and after that she grabbed her stuff and went to school

When she entered the school she suddenly felt kinda nervous. How on earth was she going to explain it to the principal. He sure was going to ask why she wanted to get Tara’s adress. She needed to come up with a better excuse then just being friends and all that and she definately couldn’t tell him about meeting another witch.

She went to sit down in one of the big chaires in the hallway of the school. She really needed to think this over before making a fool of herself in front of the principal.

After sitting there for a little while she noticed she was distracted by everyone and everything. She hallway was full of students who were waiting for classes to start, so there was no way she could concentrate on making an excuse.

She stood up and decided to place her books in her locker first. Hopefully when she gets back all the students were gone so she had the chance to think of an excuse.

She was walking around the school when she suddenly noticed a girl standing on the other side of her locker. The girl was having half long blonde hair. “Could it be?” Willow thought. She walked a little faster to reach the girl. The more she was approaching the better view she gets. She knew for sure now, it really was Tara! She was so happy, now she didn’t need to go to the principal and think of a stupid excuse.

“Hey! Tara!” Willow shouted along the hallway “Tara wait up!” Willow started to run slowly towards the girl.

Tara just stood there with her books under her arm. She turned around slowly after hearing someone calling her name. Who would call for her? No one really knew her around here.

As she turned around she could see a redheaded girl running towards her. Her heart started to beat way faster. It was Willow! She couldn’t believe it, Willow was at the same college as she was.

“Hey” Willow said a little out of breath. She was happy it really was Tara and that she wasn’t seeing thing that weren’t there. “You have early morning classes?” she asked Tara.

“Y.. yeah I have history class in a few minutes, what about you?

“I uhmm...” Willow didn’t have classes so for a second she didn’t know what to say. She couldn’t just admit to the girl that she was here to find out her adress and phonenumber.

“I... was... going to the library” it was probably the weakest excuse she’d ever made.

“Oh I see “ Tara replied.

Their conversation was stuck neither of them had actually had the guts to ask about phonenumbers.

“Can I...” Willow started, but there was no time to finish her question. The bell rang to indicate that classes where starting.

“I have to go” Tara said kinda dissapointed “I.. I’ll s..see you around sometime” And with that Tara walked away.

Just before the girl left Willow stared at the book she was carrying. There was a stitcher on it which said: “Tara Maclay”

Willow sighed, at least she knew the girl’s last name now. She felt dissapointed that she didn’t get the chance to ask Tara her number, so she decided she needed to go to the principal after all. Or she could wait to meet Tara again at school, but then probablt the same thing as now was going to happen, so all she could do was at least try with the principal...

-----------------------------

That was it for now more coming soon.

Huh ? Tara has a dorm yet is still in highschool ? I'm not all that familiar with the US education system but I thought kids still lived at home during highschool and did move to dorm upno entering College/Uni. ?

Well, at least Willow now has a surname to work with. Should be too difficult for her to get Tara's adres, it's stored in the computer-system probably : -->>: . Once she has that adress she better think about what she wants to do in advance 'cos she seems not to think all that much when actually being around Tara :) .

Tara's life at home truly sucked. I can understand her dad not liking magic and such, but the way he treated Tara made damn sure she didn't have ANY friends. Thats overkill and quite frankly it sounds abusive, what did Tara ever do to him ? (I have a *list* of things *I* want to do, rest assured:) ).

Update:

1.1 Vergilius part 4

Willow was devastated, she could smack herself for the head for being such a whimp. Why was she following await-and-see policy here? She could tell Tara was doing the exact same thing, and she was probably to shy to make a move, so if there was a move to make it had to be her to make it for sure. She realised that now. But why was she always thinking that afterwards. It seemed like she wasn’t thinking when she’s around Tara. That really needed to change. But first things first, she needed more info about this girl so she headed of to the principal’s office.

She slowly walked along the stairs that were finally leading to the principal’s office.

As she stood in front of the door, she captured the sign saying : “principal’s office” She could suddenly feel the lose of courage, she was feeling so secure before now she knew Tara’s last name, but it was al gone now. She kept staring at the shiny plate that was stuck on the door.

She decided she needed to make the move right now and not some other time!

She knocked on the door and only a few seconds later she could hear a voice telling her to come in. Willow opened the door and entered the office.

Most of the times she was here it was because of someone telling her what a great job she did and she always liked the office, but now was completely different.

“Hey Willow,” the principal said “What can I do for you?”

Willow hesitated, she’d love to run off now.

“I... uhmm.... i was wonder if, I mean this book...” she started to babble, not quite thinking of what to say “A friend of mine has my book, I gave it to her but i need it back now and I wonder if you could tell me the adress of her because I really need to get it back!”

“But Willow if she is your friend, why do you need me to give the adress? You could just ask her to return it?”

“Well,” Willow started, “We kinda just met and before I knew I gave her the book, but I forgot that I still needed it” Willow couldn’t believe she was actually lying to one of her favorite persons around the school.

“Well who is this girl then?” the principal wanted to know.

“Tara Maclay” Willow answered. She bended her head looking at the ground. She felt so ashamed that she was lying, just because of a girl she wanted to be friends with.

“Ah sweet Tara,” the principal responded. “But I’m affraid I can’t give you her adress, that’s kinda private information you know. You really should wait untill you’ll see her around on campus some time, I just can’t help you.

Willow felt lost. Now what? The principal wasn’t going to help her.

She blushed deeply

“I.. uhmm I’m... I .. ok I’ll leave” and with that line she left the principal’s office. She had enough of all dissapointments today. She would love to skip college for the rest of the day and head of to the beach to clear her head but there was no way she could do that. She really couldn’t miss her classes. Well of course she could but she was so not gonna allow herself to miss any of it.

She really thought the principal would fall for her book excuse but now she was thinking it was probably the weakest excuse she had ever made.

She still had half an hour to kill before she had classes so she decided to go to the café for a cup of coffee. The coffee they served in the café wasn’t real good, but any was better then nothing right now.

When she entered the café she sat down at a small table and ordered a cup of reagular coffee.

She stared at the coupon. Why on earth did they give a coupon for one stupid cup of coffee, such a waste of paper, Willow thought.

Suddenly Willow had an idea. She grabbed a pencil from her back and started to write her name and adress at the back of the coupon. She put the coupon in her pocket.

When she met Tara again she would give it to her. It would probably make things easier this way. She made sure her pocket was locked so there was no way she could ever lose the coupon.

When she finished her coffee she grabbed her stuff and headed off to class.

When classes were finally over Willow walked around the campus kinda looking for Tara. She was really hoping to spot the blonde somewhere. Where would she hang out with her friends? Suddenly it appeared to Willow that there was no way she was going to meet the blonde somewhere at campus right now. The girl had early morning classes and she hadn’t, so her classes were over for a long time and of course she wasn’t on campus then anymore.

Willow went back to her dorm, kinda dissapointed. When she entered her dorm, she opened her pocket to see if the coupon was still there and of course it was.

As she turned on the television the phone rang and Willow went up to answer it.

“Hey Willow” the voice on the other side was Buffy’s

“Hey! Buffy What’s up?” Willow said

“ There is some news about the demon we’ve been working on, are you coming over?”

“Uhmm yeah okay.. I’ll be there in about half on hour maybe less” Willow could smack her head for about the third time today. She totally forgot about this new demon again! She’ve been only busy figuring out where Tara lived, she never thought of the demon again, but now there was news. “News is good,” Willow thought

She headed of to Buffy’s.

Oh, poor Willow. But full marks for determination. It's only right that the principal didn't give her Tara's address, as for all he knew Willow could be a psycho. So Willow is going to give Tara her address instead... clever!

And I decided the principal wouldn't give Tara's adress so Willow would make a little more effort to get closer to Tara. Willow is his favorite student so he knows he can trust her, but he needs to stick by the rules

and of course they will meet again, only when or how is still remaining a secret
