Hey there, Tawilove! Glad you're liking it, it makes my day to know that my story is pleasing you guys.

you’ve got me speechless with your battles description, so intense so precise. In a lot of other fics I’ve read I never had a better vision of the action unfolding. It’s like a movie to me so visual!

I almost felt like Spielberg just now. :smug You're gonna give me a big head if you keep it up. I love battle scenes cuz that's where the action is, that's one of the reasons Xena is one of my fav series ever. She kicks ass, I mean really kicks ass.

I definitely am addicted to your Dawn and her interactions with Willow, it’s touching in the tender awkwardness that takes place between them.

It's a bond in the making. Dawn trusts Willow, even if Willow herself can't understand why.

Definitely getting attached to the younger girl there, I think she’s also afraid to keep Dawn with her because she’s sensing that her own instinct of survival is slowly being replaced by an instinct of protection. Hard to deal with all those new feelings.

You hit the nail on the head. That's exactly it, Willow is getting protective of Dawn and that scares her. She doesn't want to care cuz she thinks she doesn't know how and she'll screw up and get Dawn killed. And she's not used to someone looking up to her, some part of her is glad for it, hopeful, but another part, a bigger part wants to shy away for fear of destroying yet another life. Tough stuff.

Both point of view are understandable! Willow is trying to shield the « kid » from a hard life that is totally « not an adventure » like she said, that’s her protector side and she’s right! But I’d be wanting exactly the same thing as Dawn, and anyway freedom has always a price!

In some ways Willow see herself in Dawn. Their histories are so familiar that she fears that if she keeps Dawn around she'll become her someday. Dawn doesn't want to be a normal girl and she admires Willow, she sees Willow as a warrior, strong and independent. Though some of it may be considered hero-worship she really see the good in Willow, someone worthy of being a hero, you know?

I love this part, it’s raw, painful and beautiful all into one, so human!

Thanks! It was a hard decision for me. I wanted to keep them together, but I wanted to make it meaningful. Glad to see I did. :grin

It’s so hard for Willow to accept love, especially when it’s so instinctive and honest, but she’ll make it because she has to ….right?

Eventually. :devil

So again wonderful update, and I sure I'm the latest of the two for the replies....damn RL

Agreed. Damn RL, it just won't leave us alone to our fics. So unfair. :fit2

Next chapter is in the making, but I'm editing some things and working on some ideas. It may take a bit longer. Or maybe not if my muse decides to grace me with some much needed inspiration. :pray
