Man, oh man, oh man. I'm glad Willow's okay, sort of, but poor Tara and having to talk to Shelia and Ira, so not fun. Bet she's gonna have some choice words.

Because he's with Willow. And if something ... happened, I'd know...

Lisa of Nine: Great update, and great preview, I REALLY, really hope that Willow will be OK, please let her be OK. I Loved it when Tara told Sheila that she was was Willow's wife and that she wouldn't let her push her aside. I really hope that Willow and Tara finally tell Sheila and Ira the truth so they can stop bothering them and just leave them alone and let them live a normal life. I can't wait to read more.

Need update...need update...I feel greedy asking for more, but the preview wasn't enough. I need to know how Willow is...like now! hehe

Great stuff you've got going here. Take-charge Tara is damn sexy! And it's really interesting to see the roles reversed with Willow being the mommy and Tara the nervous 'father.' Also, glad to see Ceri and Brigh back. Thanks and looking forward to more. Soon please! :)

Well the preview helped ALOT!! But poor Will, she may not be ok! Need update! SOON!

Willow: We can come by between classes. Usually I use that time to copy over my class notes with a system of different colored pens. But it's been pointed out to me that that's, you know... insane.
Tara: I said quirky.

It should be against the law writing cliffhangers like this... ;) I was almost shaking the monitor to make it spill the next part. Oh god, couldn't I be a little less crazy? Noooo... :D

But then, I felt myself breathing again with your preview. Thank you so much, Lisa!

We always complain and suffer with clifffhangers but, after we read the following chapter and find out what happened of course, they do wonders to a story, don't they? It's unbelievable how strong is the writer's power over our emotions. And Lisa excells on this.

My gf and I are loving every bit of this and we're very happy you're writing again! :)

This is so great Lisa. Can't wait for more. :)

Willow made a small fist and waved it at her (Tara), and the two grinned in that secret knowing way lovers ever did. It amazed him now, looking back upon it, that he had not realized sooner that Willow and Tara were more than merely friends. -Giles, "The Wisdom of War"

swingin' with the wiccan lifestyle!!

Postby JewWitch18 » Wed Sep 04, 2002 12:02 am

lisa, you continue to rock my world. in fact I only just registered on the kitten so I could post on this threat and tell you so (I have already jumped the shark and written nasty emails to the horrible, bad people who murdered tara, and will continue to do so).

your willow and tara are always so real and so true, I can't imagine any writer doing them greater justice. and the path you've taken them down is so loving and inspirational... I can forget, while I'm reading it, that the rest of us can't have babies without sperm no matter how much we want to. you have created a home life for their blossoming family that makes me feel warm and safe. please don't ever stop writing-- we need this now more than ever, since the show has betrayed us so horribly.

I can't wait to see more of mommy willow and mama tara, brianna and her new little sister (and DEFINITELY more naked mommy weekend time!)

Lisa,

Thanks for putting this Kittie out of her cliffhanger misery. :kiss OK, Willow is going to be alright. I hope she can have more babies! :pray

God, that Sheila is really lacking in any kind of sensitivity, isn't she? :rolleyes How she can look at Will & Tara together and not get that it's true love? Well, I will never understand that! :miff

Trash mouth Willow was hysterical! :laugh I love how both babies are red heads. I can just picture those little cuties! Please send your next update soon. Gotta have my Milestone fix soon please :wink

On another note, I just wrote UPN that they have lost me completely. I've been watching this station since I think the 1980's when the Mets were on UPN. I told them I will no longer watch Enterprise, reruns of my beloved Voyager, UPN local news, any movies they show and of course, Buffy first runs or Buffy re-runs. So they lost a female who used to watch quite a bit of UPN. :mad

OMGOMGOMGOMG...Ok ok...first let me say LMAO during Willow's contractions..foul mouthed Willow was HILARIOUS! And Tara on the defense when Sheila started up. :lol it was all hi-fuckin'-larious! UP until that last few minutes of reading. Ugh..the angst, the horror, the Cliffhanger! Then I read your preview...Oh, I hope Willow makes it ok. And Tara's talk with Sheila and Ira...I really really really really REALLY hopes that goes well without Sheila going through her evil plans... :pray

just got caught up with this wonderful story and am loving it :) Tara sure is showing great patience when it comes to the in-laws. really don't like Willow's mom, wish something large would fall on her, her dad is okay but it would be nice is he got a pair and told Shelia to mind her own business. glad Megan is okay now hope Willow will be also.

milestones updates

Postby JewWitch18 » Thu Sep 05, 2002 9:48 pm

okay, I have now read everything that has been posted of "milestones," and I am totally loving every little detail! I don't want to waste time reiterating what's already been said, but the interactions between sheila and tara have been priceless-- "back-off" tara is fucking sexy as hell. I also have to agree with my fellow Jew-wiccan who posted earlier and said that a traditional Jew would NEVER suggest naming a baby after someone living. only the dead have babies named after them, and then only the first letter is taken, not the whole name (like I got jenny from my grandma joy). truth be told, when I read the words "are you still set on that name," I was expecting ira and sheila to complain about both kids having such anglo, wasp-y names. you could have them suggest more biblical names, and/or go on a tirade about the kids not having hebrew names (you could even make up willow's hebrew name-- we never did catch it on the show!) and if you really want to make willow and tara's blood boil, you could have sheila call tara a shiksa (yiddish for "non-Jewish woman," very pejorative). since tara speaks yiddish, she'll know what it means!

...I am also very curious about how sheila and ira will react when tara comes out of the birthing room nursing megan. I'm sure you've got something up your sleeve there. also wondering when all that useful mistletoe info is going to become pertinent...thinkin' it'll be soon!

naming?

Postby Lisa of Nine » Thu Sep 05, 2002 10:28 pm

Hey all,

I am working on replies to everyone, but I wanted to thank everyone who has corrected me on the naming tradition. I've changed the scene. It now reads as follows: (Let me know if Willow's grandma could be called nana.) thanks! ;-)

--------

“Megan? You’re still set on that name?” Ira asked with a scowl. “Willow, what’s wrong with calling the baby Muriel? It would be such a lovely way to honor your nana Moriah.”

Tara’s hands gripped Willow’s shoulders, but the blonde didn’t speak.

Willow reached up and rested one hand on top of Tara’s.

Willow’s mother pretended to fuss over his suggestion. “Now, Ira, I wouldn’t expect Willow to name her child after my mother,” Sheila said with a serpentine smile. She looked directly at Willow. “Now, a middle name, that’s the traditional way to honor my mother, god rest her soul.” She raised both hands contritely. “Not that I’d ever tell you what to do. God forbid you should follow tradition for once in your life.” She stared at Tara. “I know how you hate being traditional.”

---------

I also added this little bit. Let me know if I used this expression correctly.

-------

"Is it really wise to have Brianna getting so attached to a stranger?" Ira asked.

"And calling her mama?" Sheila was aghast. “She’s a nishtikeit!”

"Tara is Brianna’s mother," Willow said as her face turned red with rage. Nishtikeit was Yiddish for ‘nobody.’ "And Megan is Tara’s child too."

-------

Thanks again for the corrections. Please let me know any time you see an error so I can have the story be as accurate as possible. I love having such a diverse board! You guys know everything!

Lisa

PS. I picked two Hebrew names. Let me know if these work.

Thanks again!

hey lisa (and everyone),

I was just wondering if you all had any suggestions of what's the best of the fics on the kitten-- now that I've found it and there's not enough milestones updates to keep me satiated day and night! who's got a favorite to share? and how do you find a particular story? is there any order at all to the way things are posted?

...any suggestions would be heartily appreciated by this newbie.

Jew witch only continuing and new stories are found on this part of the pens, the thread goes to the top when someone posts on it, if the author posts an update they post in the update thread too say.

Completed fics have been archived and you can find that off the main page. There are 2 other sites that host Willow and Tara fic and these are...

Extra Flamey which can be found here: www.peccath.com/extraflamey/

And Wiccan ways: www.slashaholics.org/wiccanways/

Although if you read only Willow and Tara then I suggest reading the disclaimers on the second sites stories as they have allowed different pairing with W/T now.

The last thing is that many of the authors here have their own websites, sometimes they post a link in their sig to help you findit and if not then you can always ask them if they have written anythingelse before. They area friendly bunch :)

Have fun and I hope you enjoy the stories.

thank you Lisa. I needed that. More so though I need Tara to see Willow probably as much as Tara does.

Damn, I knew I saw that coming with Sheila. Does it even matter that Brianna is Tara's daughter? Why is Ira so pussy whipped?? ( sorry scuse the language) but he is...

Oh boy, I was needing this update... but, as WiccansIllusion said, can't wait for Tara to see Willow. It hurts how much she needs to go be close to her soulmate.

I can't wait also to see what's going to happen to Sheila... may it be bad, and painful. ;)

And I just loved Brigh's last line. :D

"You're not a babysitter, are you?" Sheila asked quietly.

"Gee, ya' think?" Brigh asked sarcastically

___________________________________________________

HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!! That made me laugh. What I don't understand is Tara carried Brianna....so even if Brianna weren't biologically Willow and Tara's child, she'd still be just Tara's. Sheila has no legal rights to that child at all. Does she not know that Tara carried the child? What judge would rule against a biological mother for a non biological grandmother (well....I know that she's related, but not if she believes the whole sperm donor thing)? Am I just missing something here? Does Sheila think Willow carried Brianna? OH, I'm so confused! Besides my own stupidity, I love this story soooo much. I am glad that Willow is going to be okay, and Brianna is such a genius and very brave child. I don't think I would have been able to know any better if I were in Brianna's situation. Hahaha...now it's three little red heads. It's a good thing Tara likes red hair! I really hope that this thing with Sheila and Ira can be resolved without having to hurt them or prevent them from visiting with their grandchildren. I don't know how they think they'd be better parents if they didn't even know their seven year old had a broken finger for six weeks!!! They were never there for Willow! What makes them think they'd be better parents than Tara? Because of blood? If that's what she thinks makes a family, I've got some choice words for her! Sorry, I know she's just a fictional character and none of this is real, but God, she makes me sooooo mad! Ira's no better just because he isn't as pushy and up front with the whole thing! Doing nothing is just as bad as doing it yourself! It makes me sick that stuff like this goes on everyday and people think it's okay! Anyway, before I get off on another tangent, let me just say as usual you're a genius and I love this story!!!

A most excellent update. I kinda expected Shelia to do something like that and even though Ira wasn't particularly helpful, it's still nice to see he's coming around. Curious as to what everyone's reaction is gonna be and of course, can't wait for Tara to see Willow.

woo and hoo!!!!

Postby JewWitch18 » Mon Sep 09, 2002 2:24 am

why am I beginning to get the feeling that EVERY update is going to be a cliffhanger...? (not that I'm really complaining, nope, not me. wouldn't want to wait until it was finished or anything. it's just that I read all your other fics whole, off the website, so this waiting thing is new to me. but I digress.)

I knew sheila would pull something like this eventually, but I kept telling myself that nothing could happen because obviously there's no way she could get past the guardians...thank god! I actually cried huge tears of joy when brianna called for defense and immediately had a dozen swordswomen at her side. if only all kids of two moms (or dads) had a harem of defenders when their asshole, homophobe grandparents swoop in and kidnap them with their lawyers. brianna and megan's true parentage is immaterial to this point; it's obvious that willow's "family" has no more conception than tara's about the ties that bind.

so, yeah, thanks for another fabulous update. drooling for more!

Holy Mother of my Mom!!! That was freakin awsome!!!

If Willow had even an incling of what her no-good-ass mother would doing she'd have a stroke! I read the whole thing at the edge of my seat! And I laughed at that last line...:grin Too bad Brianna didn't say execute!

I really, really hate Shelia! :mad But then Ira isn't so bad. But how Willow is related to Shelia...that i will never understand. They are absoultly nothing alike!

Can't wait for the next part...Good God i hope it's soon!

That was certainly worth the wait.

'Whew! wipes brow'

Tara and Megan were just precious and I'm pretty sure Ira had an eye opening experience. This was fantastically paced. The confrontation was brilliant. Everything I expected and more. What a powerful scene for Tara to defend her gentle parenting against Sheila's dreadful parenting. I could hardly catch my breath

Sheila and Bri on the lawn was just intense. That evil woman is so out of touch with humanity she could use a bit of a imbolc smackdown.

Oh I have taken to holding my breath in between updates. I'm a lovely shade of blue. More soon Please.
