Part 20
"Tara ?, Tara baby?," Willow asked her lover , looking worried as Tara didn't respond.
Willow brought her hand to Tara's shoulder, the blonde witch jumped with fright and inhaled sharply.
"Tara, are you okay?," Willow asked her lover getting more worried by the second.
Tara looked at Willow and realised that she must have spaced out.
"Y-yeah ,i'm f-f-fine," Tara stuttered.
Willow realised by Tara's stutter that she was scared,Willow brought her hand down to squeeze Tara's knee reassuringly, Tara smiled weakly.
"We're gunna be okay," Willow reassured her love smiling as Tara smiled back.
Willow turned her attention to Giles who was cleaning his glasses not wanting to intrude on the two witches.
"Giles, isn't there another way?," Willow asked him knowing that she nor Tara were comfortable with the actions of this spell.
"I'm afraid that this is the only way," Giles replied sympathetically.
Willow didn't reply, she needed to think.
Giles was starting to feel uncomfortable with the silence and decided that he was no longer needed at this point.
"Um,i'll leave you two alone," Giles said as he got up and made his way to the training room.
Willow turned her attention to Tara.
"Baby, do you wanna do this?," she asked concerned
"I-i don't know, will you be okay with this?- i mean that's gunna be a lot of power, i-i don't wanna see you get hurt," Tara said with tears in her eyes as shelooked deep into Willow's eyes.
"I'll be fine, it's you i'm worried about- you've only just come out of hospital, will you be okay with this?," Willow asked clearly more concerned about her love.
"I-i'll be fine," Tara replied quietly as she squeezed Willow's hand for reassurance.
They shared a moment to think about whether this was the right choice to make, if they were putting their lives at risk yet again or whether this would be their only chance to get Tara's powers back.
After a few minutes of thought, they both made their way to the training room to talk to Giles further into detail of the spell.
As soon as Xander , Anya and Dawn returned ,Giles explained to them about what was going to happen.
Giles explained to Xander that he would have to come with them incase anything went wrong, Anya was to stay at the Magic Box with Dawn.
Dawn didn't protest and knew it would be best if she stayed out of the way.
Giles explained that the spell had to be performed at midnight.
It was 8:30 pm, they had spent all day at the Magic Box , and they still had three and a half hours until they had to start the spell.
Willow and Tara were sat at the table with Anya and Dawn as Giles and Xander were in the training room gathering weapons for their safety.
The two witches were going over the ingredients they would need for the spell.
"Are you sure you want to do this baby?," Willow asked for the third time that night as she turned towards Tara and placed a hand on her knee.
"Yes love, i'll be fine," Tara soothed with a faint smile.
Even though Tara wanted to do this spell she still felt uneasy about being in contact with the creature that put her in hospital, and she still didn't feel 100% well from her stab wound, it had only been barely a week since it had happened.
They carried on getting prepared for the spell and soon enough three hours had passed , and it was time for them to set off.
"Right are we all ready?," Giles asked the two wiccans as he came out of the training room holding a bag full of weapons, followed by Xander.
Willow nodded to him and gulped as she took Tara's hand, they both got up and went to Dawn to comfort her .
Anya went over to Xander and gave him a hug.
Giles stood there waiting, but not intruding.
Soon enough the four of them set off out of the Magic Box and made their way to the crypt............
