What can I say that will encourage you to write more? Your little story was brilliant, really.This piece is really very funny. I'm so jealous, I can't do funny. Your writing is more than good enough to stand on its own. I for one would be grateful if you would favor us with some dramatic fiction.



Your writing reminds me of another who posts to this board (I'm talking to you, Julia) whose talents are almost wasted writing smut. I have nothing against smut, but I wouldn't want to read it all the time; that would be kind of like an all ice-cream diet. I'm starving for PLOT! DRAMA! ANGST! Then lots of good make-up sex for a happy ending.

I wouldn't worry too much about the "ratings" thing; I think they're too cryptic to be useful. Just state plainly what's in it and let people decide for themselves.

I don't know if they use these in other countries but the US ones are totally hypocrtical neo-puritannical nonsense. A tame, fully-clothed, chaste same-sex kiss can earn a film the same rating as two hours of screaming obscenities, the most horrific and bloody violence, graphic under-the-sheets sex or total nudity. Go figure. They are intended for a visual medium, anyway, so they make even less sense for writing than they do for movies.

Okay... first things first...



I know some people had asked me to write an epilogue or further chapters to this story, but I re-read it, and I decided that I'm not going to. I don't think that I could finish this story with any class. To continue it would be to descend into complete smut, and I don't think I would be any good at that. Don't get me wrong, though, there's nothing wrong with smut.



I'm under the impression that the story isn't lacking for anything by being left here. Am I wrong? Does this ending suck?



Secondly...



Wiggy, I'm fine. I just got stuck in all the uni work I've had to do. Unfortunately, this will continue for a while, so I won't have time to finish the story just yet. By the way, I love your new avatar, can I have one too?

I'm stopping now. Really. To continue, your stories do not suck. It is impossible for any story with W/T to suck but even if it was, yours wouldn't. The reason why people said they wanted an epilogue is so that they could read more of your writing. Of course the answer to that is to write a very long smut filled story. Unless you only write short stories in which case you could start something similar to Sass's Vignette's series or start a thread with some longer but still short stories.



Did any of that make sense? I think it does, but then again, thanks to that fic I'm not exactly thinking straight.

Ruth, you're one of my favourite writers online, from any fandom. Your dialogue is brilliant, and you consistently crack me up. More than that, though, you are one of the few writers to which I can ascribe my highest compliment reserved for fanfic:



When a writer captures a character so well that I can start to forget where the show ends and the stories begin, then they are truly amazing, in my book. Scenes from your fics have etched themselves seamlessly amongst the real scenes played out on the screen.



By that rationale alone, you deserve a crown
