I thought that’d be interesting to put in, because if you look through the story, you’ll find a couple of things that lead up to a little something, that will happen to Hadley. Does that make sense? . Just call it…foreshadowing.

“Morning.” Dawn whispered when Tori’s hazel eyes opened finally.



“Already?” Tori groaned and buried her head in Dawn’s neck.



“Yes already, come on, we have school.” Dawn giggled trying to sit up.



“Don’t wanna.” Tori looked up at and grinned. “Can I have a morning kiss?”



“Are you going to get up?”



“I believe so madam.” Tori felt Dawn’s lips on hers. “Morning.” She whispered.



A knock at the door broke their little morning kisses. “Dawn? Tori?” Joyce peeked through the door and found the two teenagers looking back at her. Dawn yawned and Tori tried to fix her bed head. “You two going to get ready?” She smiled.



“Yes mom. Just a little slow this morning.” Dawn said climbing out of her side of the bed.



“Ok, great. I made breakfast for the both of you, your pick though, I made a small batch of pancakes and a small batch of French toast.”



“Oh, yummy.” Tori grinned at Joyce.



Joyce nodded and smiled back, “So, you two get ready, and after your breakfast, I will drop you off at school.”



“Thanks mom.” Dawn waited until her mother closed the door before taking Tori’s hand. “I’m going to tell her tonight.”



“You…are?” Tori asked, her eyes trying to read her girlfriend’s.



“Yes…is that ok with you?”



“Oh yes.” Tori breathed. “I was scared you were going to change your mind…I thought maybe…”



“No…” Dawn placed two fingers over Tori’s lips. “I was never going to change my mind Tori. I just, I needed to think about how I am going to approach this.”



“I’m sure you’re mom will understand. I mean, she understood with Buffy.” Tori soothed.



“Yeah, I know.” Dawn sat on the edge of her bed. “I just don’t want to be seen differently by her, everyone else I don’t care about, but my mom…Tori, I couldn’t stand it if she looked at me differently.”



“She won’t sweetie,” Tori sat down beside her girlfriend and took her hand, “Your mom loves you for who you are, not for who you date. You know that she’ll always think of you the same.”



“So, by tomorrow night, we’re official, we’re going to be out of the closet girlfriends.” Dawn smiled.



“And that’s how it should be. You and me…against the world.” Tori leaned in and kissed Dawn lightly before they went downstairs to join Joyce and Buffy for breakfast.

Hadley sat up in her little hospital bed watching cartoons quietly as her mama and Willow slept peacefully. She kept looking over at them grinning every now and then.



Tara shifted a bit, her eyes opened lazily, for a moment she forgot where she was until her eyes rested and focused on a curly blonde grinning back at her. “Morning sweetheart.” Tara whispered, entangling herself from Willow’s arm gently, she got up and walked to her daughter. “How are you feeling? Still sore?” Her kissed Hadley on the forehead, her small button nose, and her eyelids.



“I’m ok mama. How are you?” Hadley asked smiling and looked over at Willow who was now starting to stir awake as well.



Tara looked over at Willow and smiled as well. “I am good, very good, but really, how are you?”



“I am fine silly willy.” Hadley chuckled.



“Hey, I believe that name is already taken.” Willow grumbled getting up off the cot and stretching. “Good morning.” She walked over beside Tara and leaned in to kiss Hadley on the forehead as well before giving Tara and nice quick kiss. “How are my beautiful ladies?”



“We’re good Willow.” Hadley stressed again that she was fine. “See? I can even move my…ow…arm.” She quickly put her right wrist down that was in a cast. “Lucky I can draw with my left hand as well as my right.”



“Yes, Hadley is very talented that way.” Tara smirked. “Are you hungry? I can go and some breakfast for us.”



“Like another picnic?” Hadley smiled sitting up even more as her excitement grew, always so full of energy.



“Yes, like another indoor picnic.” Tara laughed brushing some curls out of her Hadley’s eyes.



“I’ll go, I have to stretch my legs anyways, and plus, call Hadley’s school.” Willow popped another kiss on each of her girls forehead and slipped out the door.



“I love her mama.” Hadley sighed leaning back on her bed again, she moved over a bit, trying not to disturb her sprained ankle, and allowed Tara to sit comfortably next to her.



“I know you do sweetie. So do I.” Tara ran her hands through her daughter’s soft golden curls.



“If you don’t marry her…can I?” Hadley asked innocently, her eyes focused outside as some leaves fell of an oak tree.



Tara laughed gently and continued to stroke Hadley’s hair. She heard the seriousness in Hadley voice, the seriousness and the desperation. She knew Hadley pined for a real family, a complete family, and she wanted nothing more than to provide that to her daughter. But in her mind, her family was already perfect, she had her daughter, her sister, and she already has Willow. Yes, her family was perfect. “Well sweetie, I don’t think you can marry Willow considering your age and all. Besides, I’d be sad.”



“Why would you be sad?” Hadley adjusted her eyes to her mothers, frowning slightly.



“Because what if I wanted to marry her later on?” Tara said softly.



“I won’t marry her mama, but I can dream about her being with us forever right?”



“Yes sweetie, you can dream, and I’m sure it will come true.” Tara grinned and lay back a bit more, pulling Hadley closer to her, and sat quietly as they watched cartoons.

Dawn came running out of the kitchen quickly, to grab her school bag from her room so they wouldn’t be too late. Willow had just called and told her that Hadley was perfectly fine and that she’d be discharged around lunchtime. “That was Willow…” She breathed hopping in the jeep next to Tori.



“Is everything ok?” Tori asked a bit concerned.



“Yeah, everything’s fine. Hadley will be home by lunchtime, and Willow will pick up Brady as soon as she gets Tara and Hadley settled at home.” Dawn smiled.



“Your sister is lucky to have Willow.” Joyce smiled looking at Tori through the review mirror.



“I know.”



“But I think we’re the lucky ones to have the Maclay’s in our life.” Dawn said, her hand found Tori’s and laced their fingers together, out of Joyce’s sight.



“Yes, I would have to agree.” Joyce chuckled and swerved out onto the street.

Willow came back into Hadley’s room with a small wheelchair, three cups of applesauce, cereals, bagels, chocolate milk and a blanket.



“I know we were going to have a picnic, but what is the wheelchair for?” Tara asked smiling at her girlfriend.



“Well…” Willow walked over to the window, “In case you haven’t noticed my lovely Tara, the sun is shining brightly and the autumn leaves are falling, scattering around like a beautiful painting, and I just thought fresh air would be good. The wheels are for princess Hadley.”



“Oh! Yippee!” Hadley squealed with excitement. “A REAL picnic! With my Mama and Willow! And I’m a princess…that makes you two Queens.” Her grinned stretched a mile wide.



Tara laughed and got up from the bed. “Let’s get you dressed into some clothes…we don’t have any clothes for Had…” She looked at Willow with sadness in her eyes.



“Ah, don’t worry about it. I’ll go get some of those flannel bottoms the nurse’s have for young kids, and she can wear my sweatshirt. I still have my t-shirt and light coat.” Willow offered sweetly. “I’ll be right back.”



“Come on, let’s get you washed up.” Tara gently carried Hadley into the adjoined washroom and sat her down on the sink. “Had…”



“Yeah?” Hadley wiped a piece of fuzz off her mama’s cheek and giggled.



“Remind me again what Willow does for a living?” Tara asked wiping her daughters face with a warm damp cloth.



“You mean besides loving you day and night?” Hadley asked closing her eyes to allow Tara to wiped the sleep out of the corner of her eyes. “She’s a model. Why?”



Tara shook her head, “Just wondering.”



“Mama?” Hadley’s soft small hand covered Tara’s cheek. “Everything is going to be ok.” She said.

Hmm.. no why did Tara get bad feelings all of a sudden ? Granted she's in a hospital with her only child having been in accident, but still.... I assume she looked sad at Willow on the clothing-question because it reminded her of why those clothes were gone. Hadley has an entire wardrobe, courtesy of miss Rosenberg, at Willow's place does she not ?



Willow wont mind taking both girls for a tour of the local shopping mall I think
