Willow...Tara smiled as she thought of the redheads name. After a lot of torturing, Faith finally told the blonde what she wanted to know. She stood in the mirror trying to figure out what to wear. Tonight she was going to meet Willow and she wanted it to be a meeting the redhead would not forget. She knew first impressions were important, and she was going to make sure that it was a good one. Why do I care so much, it's not like I've had a problem getting women to like me before. She was never that big on being nervous around women nor had she ever took this long getting ready. She didn't know why but this was different than usual. She wanted to impress this girl, and not just to get her in bed or have one of her famous "quickie" relationships. She also had never been attracted to someone quite like this, usually it was...they're hot and that's about it. But this...was something more.



"Tara? Are you gonna be ready anytime soonish? We leave in five minutes...damn girl! Look at you!" Faith said giving her friend a run over with her eyes. "Forget Buffy..I want you babe!" She said laughing.



"Sorry..already taken." She smiled.



"Taken? You..taken? Well that's a first." The dark haired girl gave her friend a confusing look. "You've never even talked to the girl."



"I know....let's just go have some fun tonight okay?" The blonde asked trying to drop the conversation.



" You got it!"

The house next door was a bit crazy. Everyone was on a mission to look their best.



"Buffy?!" Willow called through the bathroom door. "Are you almost done in there?" She asked.



"Yeah..two more minutes Will!" Came the reply.



"Whoa Will's..."



Willow turned to see Xander looking at her..."Xander! Do not look at those, they are off limits buddy!" She scolded trying to pull her shirt up a little on her chest.



"Oh.." He said being caught, his face turned red. He didn't know what to say so he turned and went into the other room. Normally this situation wouldn't bother him but Willow had been his friend since he was a kid.



Ten minutes later the group was ready to go. Hearing a knock at the door Buffy jumped up to get it. Xander got up excited to be going out, and Willow got up, then sat back down. She was nervous and didn't want to look anxious but she didn't want to be rude either so she got back up again. Buffy straightened her clothes before answering the door.



"Hey!" Faith said a bit too loud. She made an audible gulp seeing the blonde's tight dress.



"Hey yourself." The blonde smiled, noticing the leather pants and black skin tight t-shirt. It's hot in here! She thought.



"Oh, this is Tara, my friend." Faith said looking flirtaciously at Buffy.



Buffy looked at the girl, she remembered seeing her with Faith earlier. She smiled knowing Willow would think she was even hotter up close. "Hi Tara, come in and meet my friends." She told the other blonde.



Tara smiled and stepped through the doorway. Her blue eyes immediately found "her" redhead. Omg omg..wait..what? Oh please Tara, straighten yourself up! She couldn't help but roam her eyes over the redheads body. Wow. Willow was wearing a dark denim skirt with a fitted red shirt that was a little more than low cut in the chest area. Her wavey red hair flowed over her shoulders. That was all Tara could take before her eyes were yet again looking at the other girls boobs. Damn! I so wanna touch those!



Willow in turn checked the blonde out. Tara was wearing loose-fitting jeans and a tight tank top. She noticed how the white shirt brought out Tara'a tan skin. She didn't dare to look for too long though. One more glance wouldn't hurt. She thought as she looked up only to see the blonde looking at her boobs. Her eyes widened as she unconciously pushed her chest out a little to make them seem bigger.



Tara met the redheads eyes only to realize she had been caught. Oh shit! She played it off and pushed herself into her non-shy mode. "Hey, I'm Tara." She said, her eyes sparkling.



"Willow." The redhead said.



"I'm Xander" The man said extending his hand which Tara took with a smile.



"Are we ready?" Faith asked.



Everyone gave a nod and they headed to the bar.

Jim's wasn't far away so they walked. Faith and Buffy walked beside each other talking, Faith of course flirting every chance she got.



Xander walked between Tara and Willow, clueless as always. Tara liked Xander just fine but it pissed her off that he was walking between her and the redhead. Hmmm...I'll just have to find him a woman. She thought.



The bar itself was pretty plain, but it was very crowded. The group found an empty table in the corner.



"I'll go order the drinks..mostly they just have beer here, is that okay with everyone?" Faith asked.



After recieving numerous yes's she proceeded to the bar.



"Hey Faith!" The bartender said overly excited.



"What's up Anya?"



"Just making money!" The bartender smiled. "What can I get for you?"



"Five beers."



"Five? Who's with you?"



"Some people rented the house next door so we invited them out." Faith replied.



"Oh really? Must be some cuties...are you having sex with them yet?" She asked not bothering to keep her voice down.



The other girl laughed. "No, but it won't be long."



"It's been too long since I've had orgasm's...I miss them." The bartender sighed.



"There is a guy with us...from what I can tell he's single."



"Really?! Why don't I bring your beers for you?" She asked putting the beers on a tray.



"Sure thing." She laughed and went back to the table.



Faith sat down beside Buffy, putting her arm around the other girl. "Did ya miss me babe?"



Buffy decided being shy would not help her situation so she told the truth. "Yes."



Faith's face had a brief look of shock. She smiled very satisfied with the answer.



From across the table Tara sat beside Willow. "How long you guys staying for?" The blonde asked.



"Two weeks, are you renting the house you're in or do you own it?" Willow asked.



"Oh..we live there...have for about a year. Do you surf?" Tara asked wanting to keep the conversation going.



"No, but it seems like fun. I don't think it's my thing, I'm really clumsy and would fall right off you know? Then some sea creature would probably eat me or I'd get tangled in something...I saw that on T.V once..someone got tangled up in that stuff at the bottom of the ocean...i don't remember what it was but it was not good and I don't want to end up like that cause if it were to happen it would happen to me...no thank you...no ma'am." She finally ended, her cheeks turning red.



Tara laughed along with everyone at the table. Willow wanted to crawl under the table at that point. Seeing the look on the redhead's face Tara stopped laughing, she wanted to comfort her. "I know what you mean....that is a scary thing. If you ever do want to try it though, I will teach you and I would protect you from the sea creatures." She smiled seeing the redhead relax a bit.



"Your beers are here people!" A voice came. Everyone looked up at the woman.



"Hey..bout time!" Faith said.



The bartender didn't even notice the girl talking, she was too busy looking at Xander. "Here you go, if you need more I am over there." She said pointing to the bar. "I have lots of beers!" She said winking at him before walking off.



"Hmm...friendly girl." Buffy stated.



"I think so." Xander said guzzling his beer.



"Thirsty?" Tara asked.



He finished his beer. "Yes, I think I need another. Be right back."



"Desperate much?" Buffy said.



"Yes." Tara said looking straight at Willow.



Willow's jaw almost hit the floor. She took a drink trying to clear her mind.



Faith grinned at the blonde. Bout time Tara came back. I thought I was gonna have to knock some sense into that girl.



"Buffy..want to go look at the songs on the jukebox?" The redhead asked needing to get away for a minute. She was starting to sweat and didn't want Tara to see.



"Sure." She said getting up, she didn't want to leave Faith but she could tell her friend needed her.



"You lost your nerve or something?" Faith asked her friend.



"No!"



"Uh huh."



"Oh shut up Faith." She said as she got up.



"Where you going?" The dark haired girl asked.



"You'll see." Tara said with a vixeny grin.



Willow had just picked a song, she and Buffy were looking at more they could play. She felt a tap on her shoulder and turned to see Tara standing there.



Tara leaned into the redhead, her mouth almost touching the girls ear. "Come dance with me." She whispered as she pulled the redhead onto the dance floor with her.

Willow did not say a word, she couldn't even breathe as the blonde led her to the dance floor. Once they were at their destination she felt slender hands on her hips, pulling her closer. As she felt the warmth of the blondes body press against her she closed her eyes. She couldn't think of anything but the feel of this woman against her. The softness of her breasts, the way her hands felt, the way she smelled. The world around her was gone, at this moment only she and this mysterious angel existed. She layed her head on Tara's shoulder, her senses well aware of the softness of the skin beneath her cheek. She sure was glad she chose a slow song to play on the jukebox.



All Tara could do was smile. This was the only place she wanted to be, in the redhead's arms. Mmmm..she feels even better than I thought she would. The connection she felt was stronger than anything she had ever felt before. Her heart was feeling helpless at this moment, for the first time ever, she was setting it free. She trusted Willow, she didn't know how or why but she did.

Back at the table Faith and Buffy were alone for the first time. Faith had thrown her arm around Buffy and it was the way they still sat. The blonde looked to see her and Faith's friends dancing slowly, and closely.



"Those two are cute together." She said sliding a bit closer to Faith in the booth.



The dark haired girl smiled, putting a firmer grip on the blonde. "Yeah...seeing as how they're still slow dancing and the slow song stopped five minutes ago." She laughed. Getting an evil look on her face she added. "I'll be right back..I um need to get something."



"Oh..okay." Buffy said watching Faith walk off.

"You know the song stopped a while ago right?" Tara whispered in the redhead's ear.



"I know, I don't want it to end...oh...unless you do?" She asked pulling away only to be pulled right back.



"Never. I plan on keeping you Willow, what do you think about that?" She said taking a quick lick of the redheads earlobe.



"Oh..um..I think..yeah..great...and there's some woo hoo too!" She said as her heart sped up.



The blonde grinned her vixeny grin. "Woo hoo is good...but I was thinking more along the lines of....ooooohhhhhhhhh and ahhhhhhhhhhh." She moaned the last part in the redhead's ear.



Green eyes widened briefly before closing half way. "...oh.." Was all she could come up with due to the attention parts of her body suddenly wanted.

What the....Tara thought looking up. "Faith! What the hell?!" She parted from Willow, her hands on her hips.



Faith's whole body was shaking with laughter. "What? It was a kodak moment! Both of you looking like you were going to orgasm in the middle of the dance floor! And lookie..I got it all right here....a good one for my collection." She winked, catching the look her friend gave her, she ran.



"That's it Faith! You are dead!" Tara ran to catch her.



Willow stood frozen, unable to move. Oh god oh god oh god. Her face was the color of her red shirt, she felt like fainting.



"Will!"



The redhead's mind cleared enough to realize she was being spoken to. "Huh?" She asked seeing it was her friend Buffy.



"Come on...don't want to miss the action do you?" Buffy asked referring to Tara and Faith.



Without saying anything the redhead followed the blonde outside where she saw the two girls wrestling by the water. Tara had Faith in a headlock demanding for the camera. Faith laughed pulling Tara's legs out from under her. The blonde fell but kept a tight hold on her friend making both fall. Tara looked on the ground above her head and saw the camera, she grabbed it and got up. "Ha! For MY collection now!" She said wriggling her eyebrows at Willow who was now standing off to the side.



Faith stood up wiping sand from her pants when she heard Buffy laughing. "Oh..it's funny is it?" She asked, also laughing as she approached the blonde. "I'll show you funny!" She picked a shocked Buffy up and carried her to the water where she threw her in.



Buffy stood, her hair was now a wet mess and her clothes clung to her body, she carried a very distinct look of disbelief on her face. "You are so gonna get it!" She said walking out of the water towards Faith.



The closest person to Faith was Willow. She ran behind the redhead hiding from a very determined Buffy. The blonde wasn't having much luck catching the girl.



Seeing this Tara joined in grabbing her friend and throwing her into the water.



"What was that for?!" Faith asked.



"Gee..I dunno Faith?" She said, sarcasm in her voice. Faith saw how close her friend was to the water, she jumped on her stomach, pulling Tara's leg out from under her and dragging her in. Both laughed as they started wrestling once again.



"You two just gonna ignore us?" Buffy asked getting their attention.



They looked at each other, then at Buffy and Willow. Both smiled as they walked out of the water slowly toward them. Then suddenly they picked them up and threw them in as well. "Might as well make it a group thing." Faith said as she and Tara smiled satisfied with the expressions on the girl's faces.



Tara looked skeptically at her friend before joining her redhead in the water. As she apprached the girl she took in the sight of her wet locks, wet clothes, and the beads of water running down her freckled, creamy skin. "Forgive me?" She asked with a puppy dog look plastered on her face.



"After I do this one thing, I might." The redhead said tackling the blonde. Before she knew it she was laying on top of the blonde.



Tara could see the blush on the redhead's face. "I could get used to this." She said almost growling. In a quick movement she flipped them both so she was on top. "But this is more my style." She purred feeling her nipples harden against Willow.



For the second time that night the redhead closed her eyes. Tara was laying on her and her lips were so close. She started to feel an ache between her legs. She took a deap breath and opened her eyes again. Blue eyes were fixed on her, like they were looking into her soul. Before she knew it, lips met hers, very soft and yummy lips moving softly against her own. She was so caught up in the kiss she didn't notice the rising tide until the warmth left her and she was being pulled up. "What..."



Tara laughed. "We almost drowned baby...you didn't notice?" She teased.



"Um..guess not." The redhead admitted. Why does something always have to mess our moments up?



"Damn Red...you almost ended up with those sea creatures." Faith mused. "We're gonna head back now, getting up early tomorrow to teach Buffy how to surf."



"Oh" Tara turned to Willow. "You want me to teach you? I promise safety and fun!" She said matter of factly. Seeing the redhead hesitate, she continued. "Do you trust me?"



The redhead did not have to think about that question. "Yes."



"Then let me teach you?" The blonde smiled.



"Why so eager, what's in it for you?" She teased.



"To see your hot ass on a surf board of course!"



"Oh..in that case..count me in." Willow smiled from ear to ear. She loved that Tara thought she was hot.



"Really?" She asked before receiving a nod. "Great!"

"Yes, we'll take it as slow as you want." Tara promised trying to control her giggles.



"Okay, good." Willow smiled feeling calmer. "Well...good night then."



"Good night.." Tara said looking at Willow. She didn't want to leave but she knew she had to. She took the redhead's hands and leaned in and kissed her. It wasn't a passionate kiss, she wanted to leave the redhead wanting more. Seeing the look on Willow's face she smiled satisfied that she had done a good job. There would be plenty of time for more smoochies.



The blonde smiled thinking of the night before. She missed the redhead already and couldn't wait to see her again.



"Do you want to see her again or are you gonna just daydream about her?"



"Huh?" Tara asked not hearing the question.



"I said are you ready? Or would you rather sit here all day and...daydream?" The brunette teased.



"Yes Faith, just waiting for you."

"Geez Tara..watch it." The brunette said getting up.



The blonde looked up and saw Buffy and Willow standing there. "Oh...sorry."



"You okay Tara?" The redhead asked moving to help her up.



"Yeah..I'm fine." Tara said getting up before the redhead could help her. "Ready to surf?"



"Um..did you want an honest answer?" Willow asked playing with a string on her towel.



"If you want we can just watch for a bit. Then maybe start out with a body board, to get you used to the waves?" She asked wanting the redhead to be more comfortable.



"Um..okay." Was all she said.



Faith looked at Buffy. "What about you? Are you nervous?"



"Nope, not at all." Buffy smiled.



"The waves don't look heavy so it's a good day to learn." The brunette observed watching the water.



"Oh..I want to try that body boarding thing." Buffy said seeing some kids doing it in the water.



"I thought you wanted to surf."



"Can't I do both?" The blonde asked.



"Um..yeah I guess. It's mostly kids that do that around here but what the hell." She said going into the small storage shed and grabbing a couple of body boards. "Come on."



The group went to the water finding a spot to sit. Buffy and Faith went straight to the water and Willow and Tara stayed and sat on their towels. The redhead saw the huge smile Tara was sporting. "What's so funny?"



"Nothing, it's Faith, she acts like a kid at Christmas time when she gets in the water. She's fun to watch." The blonde said.



Willow looked at the black dragon on Tara's arm. "So how many tattoo's do you have?"



"Three, what about you? Got any?"



"Oh no..not me...not so good with needles." Willow said with a pained expression.



"It's not so bad...just stings a little." The blonde smiled at Willow's cuteness.



"What does the symbol stand for?" The redhead asked looking at Tara's back.



"It's the Chinese symbol for peace, that's what the ocean makes me feel." Tara answered.



Willow smiled and looked at the ocean. "Where's the other one?" The redhead asked.



"Um..I think I'll wait and show you that one in private...too many people around." She said seeing people starting to crowd the beach.



"Oh." The redhead said blushing a little.



"Come on..lets get you in the water." The blonde said holding her hand out to Willow.



Tara grabbed the body boards and both went to the shallow part of the water. The waves were getting a little bigger from earlier. "So tell me what kind of experience you have in the water."



"None in ocean water really. My mom never let me go out in the sun too much, she worried I'd get burned, with the fair skin and all." Willow told her feeling stupid.



"Oh..well...I guess you should get used to the waves then. Lets go a little deeper." The blonde said slinging the body boards onto the sand. She took the redheads hand and walked her a little further out.



"Ok..you see that wave coming?" She received a nod. "You stand in front of me and when it reaches us I want you to jump with me so we'll go over it instead of getting knocked down." She said getting behind the redhead, putting her hands on the other girls hips.



The redhead nodded, getting scared as the wave approached. "There's no way I can jump that high!"



"You won't be literally jumping over it...you'll sort of float over it." She laughed. "Okay...ready....jump!" She said holding tight onto the redhead as they both jumped. The wave lifted them, pushing them back slightly, then setting them back down on their feet.



Willow's fear lifted once she was safely on her feet again. "Oh wow....that was awesome!" She stated, very proud of herself.



"Yeah..it is." The blonde said right before being almost knocked over by the hug the redhead gave her.



"Again?" The redhead asked bouncing up and down.



"Sure." Tara said laughing at Willow.



"Willow! Willow! Look at me!" Buffy called to her friend.



Willow turned to see Buffy standing on the surf board, riding a wave for a few seconds before falling head first into the water.



"You want me to do that?" Willow questioned, looking at Tara, after Buffy had resurfaced.



"Yeah, well not exactly that, I'd prefer you not fall off. It doesn't look good for my reputation," Tara smiled.



"What if I hit a rock, like Greg on the Brady Bunch, and his whole head got cut open? I like my head, I don't want to bleed," Willow pouted.



"You watch the Brady Bunch?" Tara asked skeptically.



"No... well... maybe I used to," Willow admitted feeling slightly stupid.



"Alrighty then," Tara said rolling her eyes. "How bout we go grab a coke?"



"If it means no surfing, I'm all for it," Willow responded looping her arm into Tara's. They headed to where Faith and Buffy were sitting.
