If anyone is interested, the book "Dark Congress" by Chris Golden is available now.

If any kittens plan on reading it, let the rest of us know how it is.

Please don't.

We can discuss the issues behind the book in this thread. However, when the book comes out, we will not be discussing it as it does not meet the criteria for our board. We've chosen to disregard canon and that will continue. It's what it has been for years, I don't see that changing as long as there's money to support this board. Some people don't like it, but fortunately there are other places for them.!

Technically, this book is not canon though, right?

Dana; none of the novelizations have ever been offical canon.

To any potentialr eaders ; as I've said, it'll be easy to find other places on the web to discuss this.

Since we aren't discussing Chris' book here, does anybody know of a place where kittens who aren't so anti-past-season-6 could discuss this book without irritating those who are? I love Tara and Willow to pieces (they're still my favorite fictional characters outside my own), and I'd like to talk about what I liked and didn't like in this book. But, alas, I also don't want to tick-off Ms. Moderator Fantastico.

TWOP has an active discussion board on buffy,it is in their sci-fi and action adventure shows section. I'd comment in season 8 section, or is that section 8 season?

You can also go to jetwolf's board where there is an active thread on the S8 comic. www.jetwolf.com/wolfpack.

If anyone goes to the TWoP Buffy Forum, I'd suggest commenting in the Buffy Book Club: Buffy Book Discussions thread. The Season Eight topic is for discussion of the new comics.

And Essence of Amber has an existing thread on it.

Also, they only have a small section devoted to Tara, which probably why the book is still discussed.

Hey there Kittens!

So I was researching the other day, like I normally do, and I came across something that totally shocked me, probably for the fact I've never heard about it before, even given the popularity of the W/T coupling. It's a Buffy the Vampire Slayer book of course.

The only reason why I'm posting about it here is because it's an amazing book and one that doesn't get credited as often.

It's called the The Dark Congress and in this book Tara is brought back to life, even if it is for a short while. The best part about it is that Tara gets to say her goodbyes.

I was shocked to say the least because no one ever mentions it, and I'm not so sure many people know about it. I mean it doesn't even say anything about her coming back on the Tara Maclay Wikipedia page!

It is such a great book and so well written. And it has some :wtkiss which is good for any W/T fan.

This shout out is for the book, any W/T fan should definitely pick it up, I think I bought it at Amazon for like $15. It was well worth it.

Anyway, thanks for listening to me rant!

Melissa out! :kitty

Please see this thread - Tara is back (and gone again)- thanks to Chris Golden!!!!!.

We aren't discussing this book here, because it doesn't fit one of our most basic reasons for existing (that Tara is alive and well as far as we're concerned).

But if you read that thread, you'll see Kittens recommending other places on the internet where it is being discussed.

I bought the book a couple of months ago and I can't bring myself to read it for the reason that I know Tara doesn't stay.I've tried to read it and everytime I do I just put it down again because I just hate that Tara can't stay. I've made it my new years resolution to try and read the book but I don"t know if I'll be able to read it, it might just end up staying on my bookshelf with the rest of my Buffy books and comics.

Back in November when I "returned" I bought this book. I only read a bit but it pretty much made me cry on the subway.
