Hmm, for me it was no contest. AP trilogy was the best. It's the defining teen right of passage movie of my generation. Aly, as always, was superb, totally made the movies.

i love the american pie movies and on top of that i have all the dvds so i can rewind what michelle (alyson hannigan) says and listen to it over and over again and she did great in those movies too

I loved the AP trilogy coz i just absolutely adored her character Michelle... she had me in hysterics... "this one time, at band camp..."

and she was sooo cute at My Stepmother is an Alien... and wasn't Seth Green in it too as her date??? they were both adorable!

i sadly haven't seen the other movie.

Beyond the City Limits can get confusing in parts & I haven't seen My Stepmother is an alien so that leaves the AP trilogy...thank god I love them!
Last week I was in an Aly mood so since then I've been slowly working my way through these three movies, in between work and assignments! Michelle is sooo cute, she's the only reason why I watch these movies, hence the reason why I have no intentions to watch AP4!

The answer was pretty inevitable! And if I had a choice I'd say the original Pie. It's the superior product Michelle, with Aly completely against type. I'd go so far as to say that "Say my name bitch!" along with the Band Camp is a modern classic moment in cinema.

American Pie - The funniest I've seen beyond Willow

and BTW, Tangetman, I'm wondering if AP4 was really just a play on the trilogy's success. Looking at it in a store, it didn't appear to have any connection with the story previously explored, and for that matter, not much of the original cast.

The only ones out of those I have seen is the American Pie Trilogy so I guess I like that best. My real favorite movie that she's in is Rip It Off.

Thorn -- Rip It Off IS Beyond the City Limits. Just a different name. The movie goes by "Rip It Off", "Rip Off", and "Beyond the City Limits." They're all the same!

Pinocchio1940 -- AP 4 + 5 have nothing much to do with the first three. I think the only actor that was in all the movies was Eugene Levy (sp?). They're pretty funny, but not nearly as great as 1,2,3 because, well...No Alyson! I also think they pretty much only made the last two because of the first three's success.

I love all 3 options, but I chose BtCL 'cause it's such a different character than she normally plays, and it's very interesting to see. And the end is so sad, and I'm a sucker for tragic movies...
