Not all mirrors are at the side.
Last week brought up the idea of a relationship becoming a monolith. To the individuals its all the lumps and bumps meshing together to create a smooth outside that others see.
A façade the world see’s, what the relationship allows to be seen.
But a monolith doesn’t move. It doesn’t grow. It’s a structure that stands there. A shape pre-planned and left.
There’s no change to the standing but everything around it will influence its perception.
Does the onlooker look up at a towering height or down to an insignificance?
Sunrise, sunset, which way is the shadow cast? Or is it illuminated artificially?
Does it stand surrounded by vegetation, vines wrapping around to it, life clinging on for support?
Or is it barren, its surface roughed by eroding sand scraping away small parts? Over time the small parts make chunks fall.
Is it worthy of restoration? Is it deemed a waste of money for an eyesore only to evolve into a significant point to remember? A standing beacon to what could come after but not before.
Time hosting protests as zeitgeist changes. Remembrance to be erased for visions of utopia. Blemishes covered for a rose tint.
To be demolished by a bowler in a wrecking ball.
Or to stand.
A monument of hope, inspiration and motivation.
A belief in itself and the observers.
But that’s what everyone else see’s and looks to.
What does the monolith itself look for? What does the monolith want to see for itself?
Which brings us to this week’s poll –
“What would Willow and Tara’s relationship like to see in the enchanted mirror?”
Hers and Hers Football (Soccer) Nets – Couple’s goals!
Miss KittyFantasico – They both wanted her at some point.
An Air Tight Signed Contract – No way out.
The Constellations – The future is insignificant to the now.
Nothing – They strive for the unknown.
The Munurfurr Report – A little lie for fun.
The Suburbs – A mundane life with 2.5 kids and a chicken in every pot.
Their Reflection – What you see is what you get.
Vending Machine - A selection to choose from and work to their advantage.
Cut Thread – The fates have decided.
Kokopelli – The flute playing could set the mood.
Other – Literal, metaphorical, right now or far in the future. Never limit yourself to only the sky, there’s universes out there.
I don't know. I don't think its as simple as saying X. I think it needs to be looked at independently and in a deep level as to what make them tick and their own language and perceptions and trying to find the links at their intersections that may not look the same but on a level vibrate at the same frequency.
So on a pure surface level I go with their reflection as they must want each other or at least what they see in each other and what that provides for them. maybe they want to see their own monolith.
I don't know.
