We are in the time of remakes and reboots. Originality feasted on, regurgitated and full credit taken for the moist mess presented to us. Yet it’s the same.

Stories have significance even if some points get missed with the amount of retellings. Some retellings give new perspectives and turns an idea on its head. Yet it’s the same story.

You can deconstruct anything and place a beginning, middle and end. It becomes insignificant in the details because the details make it significant.

What makes someone’s life significant? Is it their memories, the way they see the world. Is it actions that forge a path previously untrodden? Could it be the relationships made, the impact on not only their life but someone elses?

All these things can be significant to one person and insignificant to the next. Judgement is passed. Expectations unknowingly made. Questions asked and roses given with incentives resulting consequence.

All this can be taken away, memories lost, physical ability deteriorated, relationships broken. Judgements not made, expectations cleared. But if everything is a clean slate is anything significant? If everything is pure, if everything is chaotic, then is significance lost and is significance important?

Doom is an inevitability. No matter what memory made by an action taken affecting a relation is doom, no matter its significance.

It could be so small you could place it in a jar.

Which brings up to this week’s poll -
“What object could symbolise Tara’s doom?”

Dying Star – Hope dies and existence sucks.
Slowly Fading Picture of her Mother - Do we exist without the ones before us?
Calendar Marking Down to her 20th Birthday – I guess she’d have to learn not to age or stop time all together for this one to work.
A Blank Tarot Card Slowly Coming into Reveal – Futures written and ready to be told.
Melting Ice – Once melted she realises her punishment was only the tip of the iceberg.
Her Independent Mind – More protected in the jar. Is there an existence where it isn’t punished?
Batter Mix - She has to cook pancakes until batter mix stops appearing but it won’t stop until she masters rounds.
Hatching Demon Egg – When it hatches she learns she didn’t miss out on much.
Dulux Colour Chart – Ends with red.
Blue Shirt – Fast fashion, not everything fast is a relief.
Other – If it fit’s it sits. It could be Miss KittyFantasico.

Dulux Colour Chart - If doom is inevitable then let her have a life with colours.
