Turns out planets do the reverse moonwalk and it messes up our spirituality. Relationships get strained, emotions go whack and things come in threes so selected another inconvenient thing. This is known as retrograde.
Different planets affect different facets during their respective retrograde.

In The Bargaining, Tara says that Mercury is in retrograde.

No – They’re already resurrecting the dead, digging as well is asking for too much. Buffy has been lying about for a few months, she should put some effort in too.
No, sage Goddess goes on to say its more a reflection of a person so their lack of shovels is on them. But also it's their first resurrection, you're going to forget some things, like a vanilla extract in a sponge cake. It's just one of those things, you get a living person/cake, it just comes out slightly different.
