Christmas if about gettin'. huh, what? you sure? Okay if you say so.
Let's start again.
Christmas is about giving. That warm fussy feeling of giving a physical representation of your gratitude to loved ones, and coworkers but its anonymous and has to be no more than £10 and HR acceptable.
Its not about the most wanted toy lists or the many articles of how to win secret Santa. Surely you win by giving the most thoughtful present while you hold your bottle of CO-OP wine, when you've been a recovering alcoholic for 15 years. Thanks Tim, I hope you enjoy your garlic bread, the receipt struck to the bottle.
But odds are you'll have more care when giving a gift to someone who isn't a stranger you have to put up with everyday. Not just what you get your loved one but how you give it to them. Not standing around a dim lit staffroom while someone makes a cuppa soup.
Our poll for this week:
How does Tara give her presents for Willow, to her over the holiday season?
Eight small things over Hanukkah - Rekindling that childhood they never shared, honouring family traditions and for eight days there's a gift to look forward to at the end of it.
Everything on Christmas Day - Its the western TV propaganda everyone must follow because why would there be any other holidays for such events.
Nothing Given - There's 365 days in a year and they spend everyone of them together in various ways, why gift a gift.
Other - Maybe Tara dresses up as Mrs Tiny Jewish Santa and watches Willow sleep then judges her in a burn book, sorry I mean naughty or nice list, then leaves a gift in Summer when Willow is sleeping with no cover and naked.
I choose other because I don't know. I would presume Christmas because its easier for TV reasons that everyone gets a gift in one scene but Tara is respectful and so would probably go Hanukkah over Christmas if that's what Willow wanted. I don't know Wiccan holidays. So yeah, I don't know.
