I'm resurrecting this thread to see what some of the currently active kittens think about Seeing Red. To save you finding the first page, the discussion was whether you:

Wanted to watch it, knowing what was gonna happen.
Only watched it for continuity with the rest of the season.
Watch the first 40mins then quickly turn off...
Haven't brought yourself to watch it yet...
Don't think you'll ever watch it.

I watched Seeing Red, knowing what would happen. I watched right to the end of season 7 too, because I like to finish things I have started.

I watched Seeing Red only once when I taped it off TV. Now that I got the DVD's, I probably won't watch it again. Or, at least, not that scene.

I stuck with the show to the very end, knowing what was going to happen to Tara but hoping she might be back, and not believing that such a good show could go downhill so quickly. After a long time not watching anything from the show, but still a WT fan and coming to the Kitten Board, I now only watch the Season 1 - 5 DVDs and the WT clips from Season 6 (except that scene).

I actually did watch it, knowing the outcome, but wondering if JW would pull something out of his hat and surprise everyone at the last minute.

That he didn't is really a shame, as we all know - and immediately thereafter he couldn't come up with anything to save the last season. He was truly out of ideas for the show.

On a writing level, I still feel burned thinking about just how neglected the entire show became in those last two seasons. What a waste.

I saw all of it for the first time on DVD. Never watched BTVS on television that much. Now, I hardly watch season 6 because of the storylines. I always "rewind" the plot when watch Willow & Tara on DVD. I would rather see :wtkiss than a doomed relationship.[/b]

I have seen it fully, but I have edited my tape so it ends with them alive and well.

I did watch season seven , but i really missed Tara badly, I cannot watch the end of seeing red as the only time i did i cried for ages afterward. Only time that TV made me very depressed. I have still not seen the 3 episodes that follow it, and I cannot watch them ever.

In a way i wanted to see what happened, when i first watched the buffy season i started late, I started in season five i believe cause my friend goes. "Alisha, You know willow is a lesbian." I was like.. "LESBIAN, ooo where!" LOL.

So i watched it and i caught old episodes and whatever. But thats off topic so...

Anyways Tara came back and all happy, and as once quoted "If someone is happy on Buffy, watch out! something bad is about to happen."

The shot the Blood, and i was Like. "NO F**king WAY!" But in a way i can't help but watch it, cause its part of the story. I think if they kept it going after season 7, Tara somehow would have came back. even if flashbacks.

So to answer this long babble....

"Yes i would watch it again, and yes i have,"

I watched it even though I knew what was going to happen. It is absolutely horrifying, especially considering how wonderful the beginning of the episode was. I get a lump in my throat when I see Tara smile at the end. I hate knowing what is going to happen to her.

On a kinda weird side note....one time I watched SR on mute with Radiohead "Hail to the Thief" playing on my stereo. Granted, I was very slightly intoxicated at the time (some beer and some greenery) but it was really freakin' trippy. It made me cry and scream and cry some more. It was really eerie and sad. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone. :sob
As one, they turn to the soda machine. It flies back into the door like a cannonball. Willow looks at it, at Tara. She doesn't let go of her hand.

In the episode, I found it strange that none of the characters realized Warren was CRAZY!!!

I watched it knowing what was going to happen and have all the seasons on DVD, but the only episode from season 6 I would rewatch is OMWF. It's strange that the crappiest season includes one of the best episodes of the whole series.
