Tara smiled at Willow. A small smile, but she was happier than she could ever show. Willow, this wonderful beautiful red head actually wanted to spend time with her. Someone actually wanted to be near her. Tara had all but given up hope of finding someone, finding a friend, and now that she had one, Tara found that she wanted more.
[She rolls the window down
And she talks over the sound
Of the cars that pass us by
And I don't know why but she's changed my mind]
Willow stole a small glance at the girl sitting next to her on the couch, and smiled. Tara. Everything about her made her heart flutter. Tara was the most beautiful, kind, person Willow had ever met. Willow sighed softly to herself; only half reading the pages open in front of her. Does she even know?
[Would you look at her she looks at me
She's got me thinkin' about her constantly
But she don't know how I feel
You know she carries on with out a doubt I wonder if she'll figure out

Tara couldn’t help but remember the first time she had met Willow, it had only been a few weeks earlier but it felt like she had known her forever. Willow had been so brave. A shiver traveled down her spine every time she thought of how close to being killed she had come, and what scared her even more was how much she would have missed out on if she had been. Tara smiled affectionately at Willow and was rewarded with a smile in return.
[She was the one to hold me
The night the sky fell down
And what was I thinkin' when
The world didn't end
Why didn't I know what I know now?]
Willow was confused. Oz. Tara. Oz, she had loved him for so long, and when he left…. Well, he had taken a part of her with him, and to have him back…. Wouldn’t that make her whole? But then Willow thought of Tara, and the however short but meaningful time they had spent together, and it all became clear. Oz may bring back that part of Willow he took away, but, Tara. Without Tara, Oz would have nothing to bring that part back to. Tara helped her to be who she was, she taught her to love herself, and she taught her to follow her heart.

Tara liked it in the dark; no one could see her tears. She couldn’t help but cry. ‘Stupid little Tara has done it again’ she thought, ‘and I knew… I knew if Oz ever came back… knew that we were just friends… that she loved him…’ Tara wipes her tears with her sleeve, trying to wipe away the hurt and pain and misery, but it doesn’t work that way, ‘I love you…” she thought “ with all my heart”
[Right now]
“Tara, I have to tell you... “
[Face to face]
“No, I-I understand. You have to be with the person you l-love”
[All my fears, pushed aside]
“I am “
[right now…I'm ready to spend the rest of my life loving you!]
“You mean... “
