Heylo Cam! :D :wave And may I just say :shock another update, and just a week?! :bounce YAY! :bounce

Anyhoo, very sweet update! :) Haha, I love Donnie - "forgetting" to clean out the wagon. :p The shyness of Willow and Tara going to the dance together and how Willow so cleverly used the broken glass at the dance, was all soo sweet! That was so thoughtful of Willow, awww. :D

I would say more, but I'm too hyper and restless from a couple double lattes I've had today, and while sitting on a big fitness ball bouncing :bounce :laugh I'm working on getting a sugar rush while I'm at it. :D :bounce

Cameron...that was really adorable, you bringer of the warm fuzzies. Willow really is a thoughtful, ingenious gal with the decorations. And Tara wearing a plunging v neckline...that's like a karmic reward for Willow's thoughtfulness. But maybe she could get a more tangible reward (down smut bunnies! I mean a dance or something) before the assorted baddies show up and cause a ruckus (cause you said they were gonna show up and I'm assuming it's not to be civil). Anyway, looking forward to more.

- Phew! That was one fine shinding! Me and the gals are still mighty exhausted from all that line dancin'! Much obliged for havin' us ma'am! I'm mighty pleased that the gals kept their petticoats on an' all! Well, maybe except for Miss Faith, that is...

And as for that comment about Miss Tara's bosom (blushes) and the application of maple syrup on said part, well I reckon that was just the sour mash whisky talkin', you know how the girls get a bit rowdy and I've gone and made her apologize to Mr Will an all' so I hope there'll be no duelling on account of it...

Me and the critters just wanted to say that this here chapter was mighty purty and here's hopin' it'll lead to smoochies... (Raises whisky glass.) You have a fine day, now, ya hear, and we're mightily lookin' forward to the next update. Ma'am... (Tips hat and mosies out to the right)

Hey-

Great update! Especially because I love Clem in ANY manifestation. Not that Willow and Tara aren't cool, too. I really like the way you translate the characters to the western setting, and your writing is solid. Looking forward to more.

Cam!

Ok, I've been a bad kitty. I don't quite have the laundry/kids/hair washing excuse from last time. THIS time I was in Detroit for a series of El Camino car shows. What can I say, I'm a sucker for classics.

The last two updates were fabulous - I really enjoyed catching up. It's so sweet to them slowly moving closer together and the dance was so romantic. Great job buddy. Thanks for the back to back fixes.

How I wish some writers will have the decency to finish their fics before posting, so us readers don't have to go crazy or pull our hair out while we wait :P No, seriously, take your time, every update is great.

Donnie's help with the cramped quarters in the cart was great, how I wish something more could have happened. But then Tara's arm hardly left Will's, which is a sign of their increasingly closeness.

With the stargazing and the pretty glass display and the flirting, how I wish the next time we come upon these two they will be kissing, yes?????

Aww. That was so sweet of Willow to mimic the stars with the glass. I'm anxiously awaiting the next part to see what else Willow will do and if Tara figures out that 'Will' is Willow. I'm wondering if she will be mad when she does. I'll have to wait and find out... :D

I LOVE this fic! The Old West theme is great and your writing is superb. I can't wait for an update....hope it is soon.
As one, they turn to the soda machine. It flies back into the door like a cannonball. Willow looks at it, at Tara. She doesn't let go of her hand.

Ok so I've been a bad slacking kitten, but I'm all caught up now! And I must say that the star thing that Will did was sooooo beautiful and sweet! That should be a clue to Tara that Will's a girl right there, because guys wouldn't think of something like that...at least not the one's that I know. But hopefully she figures something out soon...and I can't wait for more!

Willow dressed up as a cowboy. There are some images for ya. I rather like the idea. As always, your stories are a delicate weave of plot and character development. I truely enjoy your writing style. You always seem to manage to keep the origninal character spark while wrapping that same spark in a new package. That is the sign of a talented writer!

So what is Willow's story? Why is she wondering around dressed as a young man?

Of course we know they end up together...given the flash forward, but you could always more the story to the flash forward time and have something happen...Is that really a term, flash forward?

Do I have to post another one of my "complete" stories to punish you?

Ah, nothing like a four hour drive to get the creative juices flowing. So in addition to the many lovely responses to this fic, I have to give a special shout-out to the very boring I-94 for this next update (which will be up in a bit...need to tweak it a little). Thanks, everyone! --Cameron

ShyTemptress: Aw, Kristen, you are so sweet...despite your impatience and calling me a meanie head. Of course people will find out Will's really a girl...EVENTUALLY! :devil That's still a long way off however. There IS a revelation of sorts in this next chapter...someone confronts Will about a certain other discovery.[br]
WickedReds:
so when is Tara gonna find out Will is actually a Willow?
ummm...see above r.e. EVENTUALLY. :-D This is going to be a loooong ride, so get cozy. I'm feeling much more inspired to work on it, though, so hopefully it'll be sooner than you think. Thanks, G![br]
meretricious: LMAO r.e. "Donald Maclay, slovenly matchmaker." You crack me up, Mary, and I like your idea of Willow using shiny objects to foil the moron squad...I may just have to use something along those lines. :hmm Willow will be getting her dance on to make all that boobie-binding worthwhile. Thanks, Mary![br]
Kendahl897: Thank you for your patience with my deplorable slowness with the updates. The rest of the dance is up next, the ride back will be in the update after.[br]
cperrins78:
I was sad to see the end of this update
That is such a compliment, and I thank you. More is on the way, and I appreciate your patience.[br]
The Rose24: Willow and Tara are definitely gravitating toward each other, and will find it more and more difficult to not get to the smoochies.
Are we going to find out why Willow dresses like a man?
Of course! But it's going to be a while yet...possibly before the truth is discovered, but I haven't actually written that far, so I can't say exactly. Thanks![br]
terra21: Awww, terra! Thank you r.e. the detail. This fic is definitely more detail heavy (as opposed to Dopeygayland which has all the dialogue), and I never know if I'm showing the scene well enough, so it's nice to know you could picture it.[br]
wimpy0729:
you can say Tara doesn't know, but deep in my heart I know she knows, cause I just know, ya know
Whatever, Pam. You might wanna loosen that leather boustier, I think it's cutting off blood flow to your brain. :flirt Again, glad to hear you could picture everything, even if you got stuck on the image of Tara's cleavage (and I have to agree with you that it's a damn nice image). Hopefully the rest of the dance will continue the "aww factor"...I went for it all out on this one. Thanks![br]
Artemis: First off, Chris, the dance will not be ruined by the "pesky posse" lol so no fear. I equated Tara calling Willow "beautiful" as along the lines of Willow calling Xander gorgeous, but in a guy way before the fluke. *shakes that thought out of head* Glad you liked the lights...I credit pipsberg's depiction of ingenious Willow from The Rosenberg Institute with giving me the idea. Hope you're doing well, and will be able to get back to the smut writing very soon![br]
Still Waters T: Guess I'm back to my old schedule up updating sporadically at best, Liv, but I hope this next one is worth the wait. Thank you for your comments, I'm glad you liked the sweetness...more to come.[br]
hermitfish: LOL Cyd. I come bearing more warm fuzzies! Willow and Tara will get to dance, and no bad guys will get in the way of it. They'll screw stuff up later. Seriously, it's gonna be bad. :devil [br]
Reallybigpineapple: Again, I bow down to your western-speak and tip my hat to you and the critters. The rest of the dance is up next.[br]
ringwaldoeuvre: Thanks, Mary. I am also a Clem devotee, and while he is at the dance, I'm afraid he doesn't get much attention here. I'm glad you like the western setting...I'm amazed at how well these characters can be adapted, and it's a lot of fun to write.[br]
pipsberg: Enough with the lame excuses, Pipsqueak...I know what you've been up to. :-D Glad you liked it anyway, and give this one a look-see when you can make time in your busy schedule.[br]
hidden watson:
How I wish some writers will have the decency to finish their fics before posting
I'm fairly certain you now qualify as "the pot", my dear watson! I agree with your wish that something more would have happened on the wagon ride, but it's going to take a while to get these two together. It's actually quite hard on me too to keep them apart...I'm not just teasing the readers, believe me. More romantic sweetness up next. Thanks![br]
Willow18: More "awws"! Yay! I thought the glass/fairy lights would be a hit. Tara won't find about "Will" for a while yet, and I can't tell you what her reaction will be...I think "mixed" would best sum it up. Thank you for your patience.[br]
Axel Avalon: That was quite the girly squeal, Axel. :glasses I'm so glad you're enjoying this, and am overwhelmed by all the little bowing guys. The next update will be up in a couple of hours, tops. Thanks![br]
dorksrcool: Thank you for your kind words on the setting and writing. Thanks also for bumping me back up to the front page, which made me feel tremendously guilty for neglecting it, and spurred me to get to back to work. :) [br]
stillrunning: LOL r.e. a guy wouldn't think to do the lights. Hmmm...what about a gay guy? If that wouldn't get beyond silly, I'd be tempted to use that. No worries on being a slacking kitten, cause clearly I have have been too. Thank you![br]
ladydameon:
Do I have to post another one of my "complete" stories to punish you?
That's not a very good threat, my friend, cause I'll gladly keep the confusion going if it means another fine fic from you! Very humble thanks on the writing style. I mentioned when I started this that I'm not a big western fan, but I'm finding it a lot of fun to do, and find that the Sunnydale characters translate nicely. There will be another "flash forward" before long, but the reason Willow's in disguise will not be revealed that way. I'm using those more to show that they are still together, and to show that the story is being told pretty much from one very biased perspective. Thanks for the kind remarks, as always.[br][br]

Rating: R (just to be safe)
Disclaimer: All characters are the property of Joss Whedon/Mutant Enemy
Feedback: Throws head back and screams YESSS!!!

Summary: A redheaded stranger rides into a town full of trouble and meets a blonde barmaid. Can they save each other and the town?
Setting: AU (the Old West)
Note: flashback in italics[br][br][br]
Chapter 14[br][br]
Willow stood against the barn wall as she had for the past hour, smiling in contentment as she watched couples twirl around the makeshift dance floor. She absentmindedly nursed her beer and sighed, feeling relaxed for the first time since the dinner conversation had taken an uncomfortable turn.[br][br][br]
Willow made a half-hearted attempt to follow the men’s banter, but most of her concentration was spent covertly observing Tara. Both girls had been disappointed when Anya had insisted that the men sit at one set of tables, the women at the others, but they had frequently caught each other’s eyes over the course of the meal. Shy, tentative glances over steaming bowls of stew had turned to long, lingering looks by the time they’d pushed aside their plates of mincemeat pie. Several of the men had pulled out hand-carved pipes and tobacco pouches while the women cleared the tables and retreated to the main house. Willow was anxiously awaiting the blonde’s return when the preacher’s booming voice drowned out the various conversations around the table.[br]
“Friend Rupert, what news do you hear from back East?”[br]
“Not much of note,” the Englishman admitted. “President Johnson continues to make a mess of things, I’m afraid. They say the old boy would have pardoned Benedict Arnold himself had he the chance. There is word that the Union Pacific is in negotiations with the Indians for land in the Dakota territories.”[br]
“Negotiations?” Willow spat. “Is that what they’re calling it?”[br]
“Yes, well, it is an unpleasant fact of modern life that progress always comes at someone’s expense,” Giles pondered aloud.[br]
“I refuse to concede that the destruction of a civilization qualifies as ‘progress’,” the redhead stated forcefully.[br]
“But Will, they got all that land they ain’t using for nothin’,” Donnie argued with a frown. “Jus’ think of all the town’s could be settled, all those people comin’ out here, puttin’ down roots. Why, we could have cities to rival New York all along the rails.”[br]
“That doesn’t justify theft and mass murder,” Willow countered, feeling her anger rise.[br]
“Speaking of theft,” Preacher Rayne smoothly interjected. “Has there been any more word on the Red Bandit?”[br]
Willow sat perfectly still, her eyes darting nervously around the group. She caught a glimpse of Ethan’s amused smirk and could feel his eyes on her, but steadfastly refused to meet his gaze.[br]
“Yes, actually,” Giles supplied. “Reports out of St. Louis say he robbed a store of dynamite from the rail yard and made a clean escape, right under the noses of the authorities, no less. Quite remarkable, really”[br]
The return of the women brought an abrupt end to the discussion, much to Willow’s relief. Clem, Hank, and several other men moved to the stage, and when Dawn bashfully approached the redhead to ask for a dance, Willow gratefully accepted. The band kicked off the festivities with a lively reel, during which Willow and Dawn hopped energetically around the barn, landing on each other’s feet as often as the floor, and causing more than a few collisions with the other dancers. Willow hastily excused herself after the first number, and retreated to one side to watch the party from a safe distance.
[br][br][br]
Mostly, Willow watched Tara, who had not left the dance floor all evening, taking turns with Xander, Larry, and her brother. The redhead smiled warmly as she watched the blonde glide gracefully around the room, her billowing skirt rustling. As Tara and Donnie paired off to dance a quadrille, Willow was struck by the blonde’s change in demeanor. Gone was the shy, reserved girl who seemed to wither under the weight of her responsibilities; replaced by the confident, vivacious woman whose smile and laughter lit up the room.[br]
‘This is her family,’ Willow realized, thinking back on how Tara had interacted with the women over dinner. ‘This is her home. She loves them as they love her. She’ll never be convinced to leave, not even for her own safety.’[br]
The redhead sighed deeply and closed her eyes, opening them a moment later to find her gaze locked with Tara’s. The song had ended without her realizing it, and Donnie had moved to take Hank’s place on stage while the host sought out his wife. Willow’s legs began moving as if drawn by gravitational pull, her unblinking green eyes drowning in Tara’s blue depths, unaware of anything but the rapidly closing distance between them.[br]
‘Fifteen feet…ten…five…’[br]
Willow stopped with a jerk as a form placed itself squarely between her and her goal. She blinked at the man’s back in confusion, completely unaware of the arrival several minutes before of two uninvited guests, one of whom had made a beeline for Tara. The band started to play as Willow angrily realized who was blocking her path.[br]
“Come on, Tara…one dance for old times’ sakes?”[br]
“No thank you, Warren,” the blonde answered coolly. Willow lightly stepped around the sheriff and held out a hand.[br]
“My dance?” she asked hopefully, holding her breath.[br]
“Shove off, Junior,” Mears sneered, but to his obvious consternation, Tara had already taken the offered hand and was moving to the center of the dance floor.[br]
The band struck up an air, the sweet drone of the fiddle blending smoothly with Donnie’s surprisingly melodic tenor. Her left hand still holding Tara’s right, Willow raised her right hand to the blonde’s waist, her tremulous fingers barely brushing the silk, a shudder coursing through her slim frame as she felt Tara’s left hand fall lightly on her shoulder.[br]
Within moments the redhead was cursing herself for not participating more in the dances at the orphanage, and for neglecting to ask Danny to teach her the man’s steps when he was coaching her on proper male behavior. The second time she stepped on Tara’s toes, she stopped altogether, bowing her head and taking deep breaths through her nose to force down the tears she felt welling up inside her.[br]
“I’m sorry, Tara,” she spoke quietly, staring down at her shoes. “I should have told you I can’t dance.”[br]
Delicate fingers cupped her chin and gently guided her face up to meet the blonde’s.[br]
“Maybe we should just sit,” she admitted in dismay, which only deepened when the Tara shook her head slightly.[br]
“I want to dance,” she softly replied.[br]
Willow nodded sadly and began to step back, looking over at a group of men and wondering whom the blonde would choose. To her astonishment, Tara tightened her hold on their linked hands and pulled the redhead closer, leading Willow’s right hand around her waist and placing it firmly against her back. Willow felt her heart beating erratically as Tara’s left arm came to rest across her shoulder blade, her fingers raising goose bumps on the bare skin at the nape of Willow’s neck.[br]
“Tara?” the name escaped her questioning lips in a gasp.[br]
“Will you let me lead?” the blonde whispered.[br]
“You…lead?” the redhead’s addled brain replied.[br]
Tara stiffened and blushed. “I kn-know it isn’t exactly p-proper,” she stuttered, her confidence faltering.[br]
“You lead,” Willow stated firmly, smiling into the blonde’s relieved face. “I’ll follow.”[br][br][br][br]
A series of spirited jigs followed their dance, and Willow happily stepped aside while the Maclay siblings spun around the floor to cheerful clapping. The redhead was just approaching the barn after a visit to the privy when an agitated and clearly drunk Xander intercepted her and led her away from the entrance.[br]
“Will, I gotta talk to ya,” the young man mumbled.[br]
“Okay,” the redhead replied distractedly, anxious to return to the party.[br]
“Are you Green Eyed Red?”[br]
Willow froze, her body stiff, eyes wide, mind racing. Before she could even begin to consider a response, the carpenter continued.[br]
“It’s jus’…I found all this dynamite in your cart, and I can’t for the life of me figure out why you’d be haulin’ it in a secret commart…compapart…hidey-hole.”[br]
“Oh, err, well…what if I was to say, theoretically of course, that I am…what would you do?”[br]
“I heard all these stories, but…you ain’t really no killer, are ya?”[br]
“Again, theoretically, if I was the, uh…that person…I think I’d probably be trying to help people, not kill anyone.”[br]
The man swayed and blinked his half closed eyes as a lazy smile spread across his face. He draped a heavy arm across the redhead’s shoulders and nodded emphatically.[br]
“You haven’t told anyone about this, have you?” Willow asked nervously, struggling to support Xander’s weight as she led him back into the barn.[br]
“Your secret’s safe with me,” he slurred, lying down on the nearest picnic table bench and promptly passing out. Willow jumped back as an angry Sheriff Mears brushed past her, dragging a protesting brunette by the arm.[br]
“Hey! What do you think—”[br]
“Will, don’t!” Donnie hissed, pulling the redhead away from the departing pair. “Just let ‘em go.”[br]
“But she—”[br]
“That’s his wife,” Donnie snapped. “It’s their business, you’d best stay out of it.”[br]
Willow turned to argue with her friend, but her words stuck in her throat when saw the hurt look in eyes as he watched the couple climb into their carriage and roll away. As the dust settled in the wagon’s wake, Donnie shrugged and looked back at the redhead.[br]
“Besides, the last song is comin’ up. You ain’t gonna leave my sister to dance with some other feller, are ya?”[br]
Willow grinned and shook her head, stopping in an archway as Donnie hurried to the rear of the barn and scampered onto the stage, where he conferred with the musicians. Willow craned her neck over the heads of the remaining guests, eagerly seeking out the blonde. The crowd parted at the first haunting strains of the waltz, and Willow found herself gazing directly at Tara.[br]
They moved as one, meeting in the center of the floor as the other couples swirled around them. Without hesitation Willow slid her right arm around Tara’s waist, but was shocked to feel the blonde press even closer than their earlier embrace, leaving almost no room between their bodies. When Tara stepped forward to steer their movements, Willow felt their thighs touch, and despite the many layers of cloth separating them, her heart raced at the sensation. Willow let her mind go as the blonde effortlessly guided them across the floor, the subtle pressure of Tara’s fingers on the back of her neck and on her hand silently leading her through the dance. With every turn they seemed to draw closer, the pattern they moved in smaller, until at every step Willow’s right cheek brushed against Tara’s left.[br]
By the time the song ended they were barely moving at all, simply swaying in time, their eyes closed, oblivious to the musicians putting away their instruments and the guests calling out tired yet cheerful goodnights. When at last green eyes opened to meet blue, both saw flushed faces and heaving chests, both recognized that the reaction was not due to exertion. Tara’s fingers toyed with the fringe of hair at the back of Willow’s neck, and the redhead released a breathy sigh. The blonde took half a step back and uncurled her arm from Willow’s neck, trailing her fingers across the redhead’s shoulder, over her collarbone and down…[br]
“Tara!” the redhead gasped, quickly releasing the blonde’s waist and pinning the wandering hand in place against her wildly beating heart.[br]
Tara’s expression of calm wonder never wavered as she extricated her right hand from where it lay at her side, still linked with Willow’s, and raised it to caress trembling fingers over the redhead’s cheek.[br]
“So soft,” she whispered, leaning forward and trapping their hands together against the redhead’s chest.[br]
Willow felt paralyzed, terrified and exhilarated at the same time as she watched Tara’s eyelids fall closed, her full lips agonizingly close to Willow’s. A muffled giggle made them jump apart, and they turned to see an embarrassed Buffy hastily dragging Dawn out of the barn. Donnie appeared in the doorway and looked apologetically at the blushing pair.[br]
“It’s uh, getting’ late. Me and Clem’s gonna take Xander and Anya home…neither of em’s fit to drive. Y’all mind riding back alone?”[br]
Tara merely nodded, briskly moving to retrieve her shawl and pausing at the doorway for Willow, who smiled weakly at Donnie and followed the blonde to the waiting cart.[br][br][br]

Cam, my dear friend ~

Somehow, someway, it seems as though I didn't leave feedback for the update just prior to this one. I don't know how I let that slip away from me. (Bad Carleen! BAD BAD Carleen!)

I've gotta say that these last two updates have just been so very very sweet. The process of preparing for and traveling to the dance, and then the dance itself, were all written with such wonderful detail. You're so good at painting a vivid picture for your readers.

That Donnie is a bit of a schemer, isn't he? ;) I'll say again how refreshing it is to experience a Donnie who actually cares about Tara. It's very clear that he wants what is best for Tara -- he actually cares about her happiness. And how nice that he "approves" of Will(ow).

Now then...what's with Donnie and Faith, I wonder? We've been given the impression in an earlier chapter that Faith is not too keen on Warren (and, honestly, I don't think any of us can blame her). Now in this chapter, we have Donnie looking after Faith rather longingly. Dear, sweet, Cam...are we going to learn a bit more about this backstory? Hmmm? Just a yes or no will suffice. Not asking for spoilers. :flirt

All-in-all, Cam this is a great story. Whoo hoo for the boring ride that is I94 (I've driven that more times than I care to think about). Yay for updatey goodness from Cam! Can't wait for more.

Carleen

So, Xander figured it out. It's cool that he's not gonna say anyting, though.

Loved Willow and Tara dancing. Especially the near-kiss at the end, so sweet.

Great update. Can't wait for more.

Cam!

Hey, thanks for posting during the 10 minutes I had to read and reply today. I think faxing my schedule to you was a good idea.

Dude, great update. Very cute, very romantic. I can't wait for these two to connect. I wonder of Tara is starting to suspect about Willow... the 'soft' comment kind of made me curious. Or, I could just want the girl on girl action to come about faster than you're writing it. Don't get me wrong, I love the build up, but bring.. it... ON. :peace

Can't wait for more butthead.

ooh cam you updated, and i was right, explosives! although not sure xander bringing it up at a party was too smooth, glad he went ahead and passed out. the dancing was very sweet, go take-charge tara with the leading. loved the almost groping, and the soft, but i'm a little worried about them riding home alone, what with all of the bad guys and wannabe bad guys running around this wide spot in the road.
so now ethan clearly has more of a clue than anyone else, but prob his own agenda, too, and warren is sniffing around tara, that shits gotta stop cam-don't want the oily warren around, willow needs to flush the sherrif pronto.
anyway totally sweet near kiss there, hope the ride home is more chances for sweetness, less dealing with varmits, cam~mary

Yay update...all hail Cam. That was great...truly. I felt so bad for Will with the not being able to dance and then Tara pulled her closer and led...gotta like a woman with initiative. This though...

Seriously, it's gonna be bad.

Yipes...now I'm all worried after such a lovely update. Kudos.

Yay! That was so cute. :applause So cute, in fact, that I am a bit worried about the next update. I feel bad things coming on.

It seriously doesn't matter what setting it is huh? You can sell any AU setting whether its in the alternate Gay reality or the Wild West. The dancing was great. I liked that you added in a teensy bit of backstory as to how Willow became Will. I foresee more runins with Warren soon. I also wonder if perhaps Green Eyed Red is more of an activitst than a murderer judging from the dinner conversation

Xander suspects and is almost certain to let it slip. Ethan is watching like a hawk. Warren is floating about like the sewage that he is.

And then despite everything, despite the gravity of the situation, of how they don't want to, hell, even you the writer wanting them to take it slow, they can't help but gravitate towards each other.
Shy, tentative glances over steaming bowls of stew had turned to long, lingering looks by the time they’d pushed aside their plates of mincemeat pie.

Like the others, I love the almost kiss at the end :) though I knew you weren't going to let us have a proper :wtkiss yet, tease and tease, then tease some more, remember Fic Writing 101 :P?

She’ll never be convinced to leave, not even for her own safety

It was important for Will to realize this, even as she and Donnie had planned to take Tara to safety, Tara herself will have something to say. Time to hatch another plan.

If 4 hour drives inspire you creatively, then may I humbly suggest that you do that more often :P ?

Howdy there.
Geez ma'am, we was beginning to think that you was never gonna update no more, so it's a mighty big relief to see yah old colt being fired again...
It was darn sweet the way miss Tara gone and took care fo the dancin' for the both of them, like that... Sure is hoping we get to see more of miss Anya as well... Hope that young Xander dont go mouthin' off now in this here state of intoxication'... and dynamite's always good, I reckon', so it's darn excitin' to see what miss Willow is gonna do with all that...
Even though that the gals and the critters are mightily lookin' forward to this here waggon ride home, we we've been fixin' to tell yah that we sure would appriciate some smootchies... And if you might update soon that would sure be much obliged, since I'm tellin' yah, miss Faith's gone and almost shot herself in the foot when she was makin' practise shots at that there Warren Mears-shaped scarecrow, since you've gone and done left us waitin' by yonder waggon there... Well, they say that patience is a virtue... but I reckon' a well kept colt and a whole lot of ammo's even better if you go an' ask me...
Since you seem to be real friendly with Pipsberg an all, maybe you can mention in passin' that the gals are goin' a bit wild without their latin an' science lessons, and have taken to spendin' more an more time down yonder brothel and less with the books, so I reckon' that a visit to the Rosenberg Institute would be just the ticket.
Well, I don't usually use so many words to say so little, but hope you get it anyway.
The critters sends their regards.

Well that was very well done. The way you wrote this update had a very old west feel to it. It was very tactile and easy to imagine the setting. At the end was Tara feeling Willow up? Seemed that way and Willow certainly did panic about it. Well done.

Never thought I'd enjoyed the descripton of a dance so much. Tara leading was bold for the times and really sweet. I'm enjoying the story a great deal. Thanks for sharing it.

Yay, another great update! This story is fantastic. I'm glad that my feedback put it on the first page and that you decided to write more. I will make sure to read it whenever you update. I really liked the part when Tara touched Will's face and said "soft," that's really hot!!! Yipee, I love this story.
As one, they turn to the soda machine. It flies back into the door like a cannonball. Willow looks at it, at Tara. She doesn't let go of her hand.
