Hey peeps,

Well, for some reason today I woke up and couldn't wait to start writing! So I've got an update here for you, it's quite short and lacks W/T (ahem) goodness, but it DOES resolve the whole cliffhanger thing. So I hope you enjoy! Oh, and Ive already got the next couple of chapters planned so hopefully you wont be waiting too long!

Thanks for reading,

Title: The start of forever

Disclaimer: Joss W, I don't own anything, though Id really like to own a llittle bit of willow and tara!!

Rating: pg for now, but will progress.

Summary: I guess you could call this an AU fic: Tara moved to Sunnydale five years ago, and became best friends with Buffy and Xander. Willow is not from Sunnydale, but will be there soon. Tara and Willow meet by accident, and its the start of everything...

Feedback: Would be brilliant!

Previously in ‘The start of forever’…

“What happened Buffy, really?”

Buffy wiped her tear stained eyes, and managed to calm down a little.

“I like her, Tara, I really do. Last night we were in her room, and we somehow ended up so that…it just seemed like the perfect thing to do at that moment was to kiss. But I panicked, I mean, hello- not gay! I just left her; I didn’t even say a word, Tara.”

Tara hugged Buffy close again and stroked her hair with her free hand.

“Buffy, you know what you have to do,” she said, simply.

“Go back out there and tell her?” her best friend answered, in a small voice.

“Exactly.”

The two girls looked at each other and smiled; no matter what changed, who was with who, they would always remain close. After a moments comfortable silence, in which Tara figured Buffy was figuring out what to say to Faith, a voice came out of the end cubicle; the one that Tara had just left.

“Can I come out now?”

Buffy looked at Tara, realising that she and Willow had been shut in there together, and didn’t even want to think about what they’d been getting up to.

The door opened and a sheepish looking Willow shuffled out of the cubicle.

“Oh…you’re still here!” she exclaimed, looking at Tara in panic.

Buffy looked from one blushing red girl to another even more embarrassed one, and promptly burst out laughing.

Chapter 28

Buffy left the bathroom, and the two very red-faced Wiccans, behind her and re-

entered the Bronze.

She knew that Tara was right, that she needed to do this. She just wasn’t exactly sure

what ‘this’ was; now that she’d finally admitted her feelings for Faith to herself, how

could she possibly explain it to her face to face?

Glancing around the crowd, she noticed Xander and Anya dancing, and managed a

smile and a small wave. She chose to ignore Xander’s beckoning gestures, and

continued her search for Faith.

Hoping upon hope that Faith wasn’t still with the girl she had previously seen her

with, Buffy pushed through the crowded dance floor, feverishly looking around.

Her eyes finally settled on a darker corner of the room, and she saw a familiar

brunette dancing and laughing, with the same girl.

Willing the tears back down, Buffy took a deep breath and determinedly moved over

in that direction.

Once Willow and Tara had gotten over their initial embarrassment, they’d finally

managed to move out of the bathroom. Thankfully, the tequila that they’d drunk was

still having an effect on them, or they never would have shown their faces in public

again.

Tara searched the crowd worriedly; Buffy had been upset and she wanted to make

sure she was alright. The blonde was soothed by the feel of Willow’s hand slipping

into hers, and the sound of the redhead’s assuring voice;

“Don’t worry, Tare, she’ll be ok. There’s nothing wrong about going out to get what

you want; we did it and look where it’s taken us!” she grinned impishly at her

girlfriend, hoping to be rewarded with a smile.

Tara squeezed the hand in hers and smiled back,

“You’re right, I’m sure she’ll be fine.”

At that moment she was drawn to a commotion in the far corner; a few people had

stepped away from the scene, not wanting to get involved, and there in the middle was

Buffy, Faith and…some girl she’d never seen before.

“Oh Gods…”

Buffy stepped right up to the girl that Faith was dancing with, and stood as straight as

she could, hoping to appear taller and perhaps more menacing.

“What do you think you’re doing?” she snapped, willing the girl to back down.

Unfortunately, the girl seemed almost as sassy as Faith,

“What does it look like I’m doing? I’m dancing with a hot chick!”

Buffy felt the fury boil up inside of her; Faith was not just some…hot chick!

Before she knew it, she felt a sharp sting on her palm, and realized that she’d just

slapped the girl on the face.

“B, what the hell do you think you’re doing?!” Faith yelled, really not liking the

situation she was in.

“Faith, I just can’t see you with her, I cant,” Buffy’s voice cracked with emotion.

“Look B, you had your chance, and you pushed me away. I don’t do second chances

anymore, I’ve been let down too many times,” Faith inwardly smacked herself for

revealing too much.

“Don’t stand there and pretend that the kiss meant nothing to you, because I know it

did!” Buffy exclaimed, feeling the tears threatening to spill again.

Faith rolled her eyes dramatically, and hoped that her acting worked. Yes, of course

the kiss had meant something to her; she felt something for Buffy that she’d never

experienced before, and it scared her.

There was no way that she was going to show that now. She turned her full attention

to Buffy, and looked her right in the eye.

“Buffy, I don’t think that’s the issue here. It’s not me that ran out on you, without

even saying a word. It’s not me that thinks that everyone lo..likes me and as soon as I

figure out that I like them they’ll come running.

That’s you, and I’m not going to let you run out on me again. You don’t even want

this!” she shouted, gesturing wildly between herself and the small blonde.

Buffy ran her fingers through her hair, frustrated. This was all going wrong. But she

had to have one last try.

“Faith, I don’t know what ‘this’ is. I don’t even know why I feel this way. I’m so

confused, I’ve never felt this way for another girl before but…there’s one thing that’s

clear, one thing I do know. I know what I feel for you, and I’m not running anywhere.

I just can’t stand by and let you g…”

Her rant was interrupted by Faith’s finger on her lips, instantly silencing her. They’d

been in this position before, but this time it seemed different; Buffy had finally been

honest with herself. And most of the bronze, who were standing around watching.

Faith shook her head and smiled,

“B, enough of this feelings crap. Just come here and kiss me.”

To the sound of claps and cheers, and a very loud ‘Hey!’ from the girl Faith had been

with, their lips met in a fiery kiss, and they both finally got what they wanted the

most.

Willow and Tara, who had been standing in the crowd that had surrounded them,

looked at each other and smiled like the proud matchmakers they were.

Willow snaked her arm around Tara’s waist and pulled her close for a soft and loving

kiss.

“I love you,” she whispered in her ear, before planting another kiss on her lover’s lips.

“I lo…” Tara began, but was interrupted by Xander tapping her on the shoulder,

having finally made it to the front of the crowd.

“Hey guys, what’s going on over here?” he asked, chipper as usual.

Willow grinned and pointed over to the corner, where Buffy and Faith were still

kissing hungrily.

“Great and wonderful Zeus, not them too?! Do they put something in the water

around here?” he exclaimed, before grasping onto Anya for support; for once proud

that he hadn’t fainted in the face of adversity.

YAY! More! More! More!

You're doing a great job! Keep it coming! I like the interaction between Buffy and Faith - always felt they should have expanded Faith's role a bit more...they never really "fleshed" out her character enough....

Hope to see more updates tonight!

Chapter 29

Tara slowly opened her eyes and looked at the clock, and quickly shut them again. She must be dreaming; it wasn’t time to get up yet.

Gradually, her senses came alive and she realised that she was wrapped in a soft and warm Willow-cocoon; the redhead’s arms wrapped around her so tightly that she had to wonder how she was breathing. It was a wonderful feeling, being held by the person you love. Smiling to herself she snuggled deeper into Willow’s embrace and murmured appreciatively.

A few seconds passed and then she blinked one eye open to look at the clock again. Realising that it was in fact 7.30am, she groaned and attempted to escape Willow’s firm hold, gently moving her girlfriend’s arm from its resting place over her stomach.

“Just one more minute, one more…” Willow mumbled, grasping her once more.

“Will, honey, I have class, I have to get up,” she whispered, half hoping that Willow wouldn’t hear her and she’d have the perfect excuse to stay snuggled all day long.

The redhead opened her eyes and looked over to her lover sleepily.

“You’re right, class is important,” she said, stifling a yawn. Tara smiled and tried once more to stand up from her bed, but was soon pulled back. “But snuggles are imperative!”

The blonde giggled and playfully tried to resist by tickling Willow’s sides; she knew that this was her most ticklish spot and she would be helpless.

Willow squealed, wide awake, and tried to tickle Tara back unsuccessfully.

“You, Miss.Rosenberg, are a menace to the education system!” Tara giggled, but their banter was soon cut short by the loud shrill of the telephone.

Frowning, Tara reached for the phone. Who could it be this early? Maybe the college put cameras in all the dorms so that they could catch students trying to skip class?! No, they wouldn’t…would they?

Tara received her reply when she picked up the phone and immediately heard Buffy’s voice. A very pissed off Buffy.

“Tara, can you please inform Willow that her parents have just arrived, and they are insisting that they see her?” she said sleepily. It was clear that early-morning Buffy was not the friendliest.

“Erm…yeah” Tara sheepishly replied, and turned to Willow. “It’s Buffy, she says that your parents are there, and they want to see you,” she related.

Willow immediately sprang out of bed and began frantically searching the room for her clothes.

“Tell them I’ll be there in fifteen minutes, tell them I’ll run!” she exclaimed, pulling her sweater over her head.

Tara relayed the message and replaced the phone on her bedside table. Turning to Willow, she smiled and shrugged her shoulders.

“So, your parents. That’s not good?”

“Parents and good- never to be used in the same sentence. Well, not in my case anyway. Parents, aargh!” she babbled, while brushing her hair and at least trying to look presentable. Tara held back a chuckle when she saw how flustered Willow was becoming at the thought of seeing her parents. Standing up, she grabbed her robe and pulled it around her shoulders, then moved over to hold Willow to her.

“Do you want me to come with?” she asked softly, placing a light kiss on the redhead’s cheek.

“No, you can probably still make it to class. I’ll go and see why they’re here and call you later.” She hurriedly kissed Tara on the lips, picked up her bag and rushed out of the door before Tara could even reply.

Willow hurried back across campus as quick as her legs could take her, mumbling incoherently to herself. Why were her parents here? Maybe something had happened, maybe they were moving to Sunnydale. Ack! Just the thought made her want to be sick.

Turning the corner, she was unsurprised to see Faith leaving the dorms. It had been a week since Buffy and Faith had gotten together in the bronze, and she had very rarely seen them apart. When they reached each other, Faith merely grumbled

“Nice parents,” before carrying on her way. Willow almost smiled to herself; at least it wasn’t just her that they treated in that way.

She reached her door and opened it to find a completely silent room. Buffy was sitting on a chair by her desk, while her parents were sitting on Willow’s bed. All three seemed to be studying something very interesting on the walls.

“I’m here! What’s the rush? What happened?” she exclaimed, while crossing the room.

Her parents stood from the bed and took in her dishevelled appearance, glancing at one other.

“Willow, darling, nothing has happened,” her Mother began, “but where on Earth have you been all night?”

“Umm…study group,” she answered, with a squeak so high pitched that she was sure only neighbouring dogs could hear it. “There was a study group at my friend’s dorm, and it was late so I stayed over, I didn’t want to walk back over in the dark by myself,” she finished, pleased with her story.

Her Mother nodded and smiled, “very sensible, Willow, I always knew you had a smart head on those shoulders,” she admitted,

Taken aback by the compliment, she almost stumbled over a stray pair of shoes.

“Erm, yes, well what can I do you for then?”

Her Father, Ira, spoke then;

“We just thought we’d come and see how you’re settling in, get a feel for the place.”

Willow nodded in response, pleased that there wasn’t an emergency or that- God forbid- they weren’t moving to Sunnydale. Her happy trail of thought was broken, however, by a grumbling Buffy,

“No emergency? But it’s 7.30…!” she murmured.

Later that day, Tara finished her classes for the morning and stopped at the Espresso pump for a mocha. As she was paying for her drink, she turned around and a flash of red caught her eye from the corner of the room. Smiling, she weaved her way over to say hi to her girlfriend.

“Hey Will,” she said and then turned to Willow’s parents, “hello M-Mr and Mrs R-Rosenberg,” she stuttered nervously, anxious to meet her girlfriend’s parents for the first time.

“Hey Tara,” Willow replied casually…too casually. “Mum, Dad, this is Tara my…study buddy,” she introduced.

Tara tried to ignore the sharp sting of Willow’s words; she never thought she’d hear her love dismiss their relationship quite so easily. Then again, telling your parents that you’re gay is never the easiest job.

“Yes, that’s me, Willow’s…s-study buddy” she almost whispered the last two words. “Anyway, nice to have met you,” she muttered, and then with barely a glance at Willow she turned and hastily left the shop.

Knock knock.

Tara stepped up from her desk and looked through the peephole on her door. Willow stood on the other side, looking nervous. Opening the door, she smiled warmly.

“Hey Willow,” she said, and invited her lover in, “you know, you really don’t have to knock and wait outside now!”

However, Willow didn’t laugh at her attempt at breaking the ice.

“My parents are waiting outside; we’re going to dinner at Marlowe’s. I have to hurry; I said I’d left my cell phone in here.”

Tara nodded, and then took a deep breath.

“Do they still think I’m your ‘study buddy’?” she asked.

“Yes,” Willow answered simply.

“When are you going to tell them, about us?”

“Never, if I can help it,” the redhead murmured distractedly.

“Willow, this isn’t a time for jokes. I don’t like lying to your parents.”

“Maybe I wasn’t joking,” the redhead answered almost spitefully.

Her words stung Tara to the core; maybe Willow didn’t really want to be with her. She’d always pictured herself and Willow being together for a long time to come, but obviously she didn’t feel the same way or she wouldn’t be talking about never telling her parents about them.

“Don’t you love me?” she asked quietly.

“Yes, of course I love you. It’s just…I don’t think they’ll understand. And it’s a really big commitment to tell your parents that you’re gay, cos if anything ever happened I cant just turn around one day and say ‘actually Mum, Dad, I’m not gay’!”

“Are you saying that this is an experiment? A one off? One stop at girls town on the express train to boys town?” Tara exclaimed, not quite believing what she was hearing.

“No…God, I don’t know! I just don’t feel ready to tell my parents yet, is that really too much too ask?” Willow sighed, exasperated.

“Willow, if you can’t admit to the people who raised you, the people you love, that you love me then…what chance have we got?”

Tara felt the tears she’s been so desperately trying to hold back start to spill down her cheeks.

“Well if you can’t understand that this is hard for me then…I don’t think we’ve got much chance at all. I…I have to go, they’re waiting. I’m sorry,” the redhead said and quickly backed out of the room, shutting the door behind her.

Tara slumped to the floor and began to sob, her shoulders shaking uncontrollably. She’d lost her…she’d really lost her.

Willow was uncharacteristically quiet all through the meal. Her parents tried to make conversation, but weren’t having much luck.

“So, Willow, tell us about this study group that you went to last night. Your friend, Tara, seemed very nice; kind of quiet, but nice,” her Mother asked, in her own twisted style of compliment.

Willow was taken aback by the question; she really didn’t feel up to talking about Tara right now, not after they’d had their first fight.

“Well, uh, it’s for art history. We just had a small project that was all.” She kept her reply short, hoping for a change of subject.

“Yes, well, that sounds like fun. This Tara girl, a good friend of yours and Bunny’s?”

Willow merely sighed in reply.

Meanwhile, Tara had calmed down somewhat and had time to think. She knew that she was right, that Willow had to face up to her responsibilities if their relationship was ever gong to work but…maybe she’d pushed a little too hard.

After all, Willow’s parents didn’t really seem the compassionate and understanding type of people that her Aunt Rose was.

Groaning out loud, Tara realised that if this was going to be sorted out, she had to find Willow. Making a snap decision, she picked up her purse and left the dorms, not even bothering to notice that it was raining, and headed straight for Marlowe’s on Main Street.

They had just finished dessert in silence when Willow happened to glance up at the window. Her jaw almost dropped when she saw Tara standing outside, in the pouring rain, her arms crossed in front of her. All of her priorities fell away from her, and she stood up and began to walk away from the table.

“Willow, where do you think you’re going?” her Mother demanded.

“I’ll explain,” was all Willow could call out in reply, before she left the restaurant.

She stopped across the road from Tara, unsure what to say or do. Fortunately, Tara began to speak first.

“I’m so sorry,” she said simply, and began to cry again. “I’m sorry, Willow, it’s just…nobody’s ever loved me like you do and I can’t bear to have that taken away from me. Please, don’t leave me!” she sobbed.

Willow glanced behind her and saw her parents reaching the front of the restaurant, looking angry.

“I can’t Tar, please don’t make me tell them,” she cried, her tears mingling with the rain that cascaded from the sky.

Tara’s shoulders slumped, and she shook her head.

“I shouldn’t have come,” she said in a low voice, then turned and walked down the street, away from Willow.

At that moment, both of Willow’s parents stepped out of the door of the restaurant.

“Willow, what’s going on?”

The small redhead was torn; she glanced from Tara, to her parents, and back to Tara again. Nothing could explain the hurt and pain that she was feeling as she saw Tara walking away, out of her life. It felt as though her heart was going to explode from her chest.

It was then that she realised that Tara wasn’t forcing her to tell her parents, she was asking her to commit to her. Even after all this time, Tara still felt like she didn’t deserve real love, and this was the only chance she’d have to show her. Her decision made, she stepped out into the centre of the road, in the pouring rain, and shouted

“Tara, I love you!”

She saw the retreating figure stop, and slowly turn. The smile on Tara’s face was amazing, blinding, almost angelic in quality.

Willow turned back to her parents and nodded.

“Yes, I love her; I’m IN love with her.”

Her parents looked dumbstruck, but she didn’t care, all that mattered was that Tara was running to her. The blonde fell into her arms and cried,

“Thank you, I love you. Goddess, I love you!”

Willow silenced her with a sound, hard kiss to the lips, and then brushed her long locks back behind her ears.

“Tara, you have to understand; I love you, with all my heart. It shouldn’t have to take an ultimatum to show me that you’re the most important thing in my life. But it shouldn’t take this for you to understand my feelings for you.”

“I know, I’m sorry,” Tara said between kisses to Willow’s face, not caring that her girlfriend’s parents were standing just across the road.

“Tara, you said that I needed to be honest if we were ever going to have a chance together. Well, here’s honesty; I don’t want us to just have a chance, I want us to have forever.”

Tara’s only reply was to meet Willow’s lips with her own.

FIC-wise:

so just cos you felt they were too happy, you had to throw a little angst, didn't ya! Oh well it blended with the scenery, it was beautiful, especially the scene under the rain.

hmm I wonder how the senior Rosenbergs will react!

willowsgirl-wise:

oh, so that's it huh? no telling?

Great update!

It worked well because you can empathise with both Willow and Tara's perspectives on the situation, although I did feel Tara was a bit pushy to start, I loved how how explained that it was just her fear of losing Willow coming through. The scene in the rain was lovely, too.

Looking forward to seeing the reprecussions and the next update!

Thanks for the feedback, as I said before I was worried about this chapter, but I decided to be daring..well, for me anyway! But don’t worry, Ill be back to kisses and gay love very soon :applause

Ive got the next chapter structured, its just a case of writing it now. I guess it should be done within the next 24 hours, if not sooner.

So, replies…

LOSTWITHOUTTARA- Im glad that you got that Tara seemed pushy, I thought so too but that was just the way it had to go; and Im glad that you empathised with both of their perspectives, that was something I was trying to do with this chapter.

Yeah, for some reason I just love scenes in the rain…maybe Ill write a whole fic set in a storm or something!

By the way, your sig that says ‘Every time you walk away, I pretend that I’m ok’, where’s that from?? Im sure it’s a song but I cant think which one and its really bugging me!

FIRESIGN- Yeah, I guess that a lot of people reading this fic will understand how hard it is to tell the people you love, just cos it is a big change and its something that seems very definite. That’s why I had to chuck in the line about how Willow didn’t want to tell her parents incase she changed her mind about being gay, not something you actually see happening, but its there in the back of your mind. Hmmm :hmm

Thanks for reading! BTW, I love your fic!

BLUEWILLOWWITCH- Yet again, you’ve brightened up my whole day with your smileys! Thankyou :flower

Im glad you liked this update, and I agree with you about the ‘big scene’ thing; if you’re gonna do it, really do it! I like the way you said ‘make it count’. That’s a cool way of seeing it.

There will be an update soon, your little smiley’s prayers have been answered! My plans for this fic seem to be on the lines of cuteness and kisses and gay lovin’…Im happy so my girls will be happy now!:grin

Thanks all so much for reading,

Willowsgirl xx

This is an awesome fic :) I started reading it earlier and now I'm addicted. I haven't read the whole thing yet but I've read most of it. I was trying to do it all in one night cuz well I just couldn't leave my chair but I gotta get up early in the morning so I'll save the rest for later.

Can't wait to finish reading this, great job

Hey willowsgirl!

My sig line does indeed come from a song. It's the English translation of some French lines from Michelle Branch's 'Til I Get Over You'. The original line is 'Chaque fois que tu ton va, je pretend que tu fais bien'.

Every time you walk away, I pretend that I'm okay

Postby willowsgirl » Fri Sep 05, 2003 8:28 am

Hey kittens!

Thanks for all the great feedback on the last chapter, here’s a few replies…

Tiger17- That has to be one of the best comments Ive ever received on this fic, you really made my day! Ive sat up all night before reading great fics that I just cant leave, and to know that someone sat and read my whole fic (well, most of it!) is soooo cool!

LostWithoutTara- I knew I knew that goddamn song!! Ive even got the cd in my room, I just couldn’t quite place that line. But now I know-Thanks!

Sam darls- Awww, Im glad you liked the updates, thanks for reading!

And now the good news (I hope!), Ive gotta new update for you! It continues right where chapter 29 left off, so if you cant remember, id advise you to catch up!

Oh, and its off the nc17 variety!

Happy reading,

Chapter 30

Tara and Willow kissed as though it was their first; it symbolised the fact that everything was going to be alright, that the insecurities would be put behind them and that from this point onwards, they would start afresh.

As she felt Tara’s soft lips brush over hers and then part slightly, Willow accepted the invitation and the kiss deepened, punctuated with a low moan from the blonde.

Suddenly, though, they were brought back to reality.

“What exactly do you think you’re doing, Willow?” her Mother demanded, angrily. The two girls sprang apart guiltily, but their hands remained entwined.

Willow stood up straight, and faced her Mother.

“I’m kissing my girlfriend,” she stated, defiantly.

“This is preposterous!” her Mother exclaimed, “I’ve never seen or heard anything so ridiculous in my life! I can tell you now, Willow, that from my seminar experiences it is more than likely that this is merely experimentation, a phase if you would.”

“Sheila, calm down,” Willow’s Father, Ira, warned. Tara smiled shyly at him, thankful for the support she could see in his eyes.

“Yes, Mum, please calm down. I know this is hard to understand, but I love Tara,” Willow pleaded.

However, her Mother still stood strong.

“It’s just a phase.”

“A phase?” Willow spat angrily, “That is NOT what this is. I feel so much for her, I don’t even know how to explain it. But I DO know that this is so not a phase. This has been going on since our vacation. Remember the Calypso hotel? I fell in love with Tara that last night, under the stars…”

“Shut up!” Sheila raged at her daughter, “I don’t want to hear this…this…trash!”

“Then why are you still here?” Willow replied calmly.

“Sheila, maybe we should go, I don’t think this is going to be resolved tonight, and this is neither the time or the place to talk about it anyway,” Ira suggested, and received an agreeing nod from Sheila.

“Yes, maybe we should. I’m sorry, Willow, but I’m not going to just stand by and watch you make a fool out of yourself. Is she even Jewish?!”

Willow giggled at the last comment, and squeezed Tara’s hand.

“Somehow I don’t think Tara’s religion is going to change your opinion of our relationship. So Mum…Dad…just go.”

Willow’s Father nodded, and with a half hearted wave, they left.

The two girls remained in the street, watching them leave.

Slowly, Tara turned to Willow, her expression clearly one of regret.

“I’m so sorry Willow…I c-can’t believe I made you do that. I’ve r-ruined everything.” She stuttered, as she struggled to contain her emotions.

Willow held her girlfriend closer, and brought a hand up to cup her cheek.

“Hey, Tara, don’t worry,” she said, in a calming voice. “Things between me and my parents have been ruined for a long time.”

Tara nodded, and wrapped her arms around the redhead.

“I love you,” she whispered softly in Willow’s ear.

“I love you too,” she returned, and then rested her head on Tara’s shoulder.

For a while they just stood there, in the rain, their arms wrapped around each other.

They were a lot of things at that moment. They were cold, and they were wet. But as they stood there holding each other, only one word resounded in their minds. Safe.

After a while, Willow broke the silence.

“We should go, get out of these wet clothes,” she suggested.

“Willow Rosenberg, are you trying to seduce me?!” Tara exclaimed, in mock horror.

Glad for the shift in mood, Willow continued the charade.

“I would never do such a thing! Well…maybe!” she added cheekily.

Tara laughed, and Willow’s entire self filled with a sense of well being at the sound. Everything really was going to be alright.

The two girls made their way back to the dorms, constantly holding on to each other. Once they reached Tara’s dorm, they quickly removed each other’s wet clothes. When they were both naked, Willow took in the beautiful form of her lover, and had to hold back a tear when she realised that she had nearly lost her. Tracing her fingers over Tara’s smooth flesh, she breathed in her scent and savoured it.

There was nothing sexual about the act as they stood naked, holding each other, in the dark room. It was more comfort and reassurance than anything.

But then Tara leaned forward and placed her lips on Willows, and they kissed.

It began as their kisses nearly always did; soft and gentle. Their lips brushed against each other slowly for a few moments, but quickly became more passionate.

Tongues stroked tongues, and moans infiltrated the room.

A few breathless minutes later, Tara pulled back long enough to say

“Lay down. On the bed.”

Willow nodded and, taking Tara’s hand, moved over to the bed.

Tara leaned over her and kissed her soundly once more, before leaning away and watching her. The blonde drank everything in, the smoothness of Willow’s skin, the little freckles that graced her, and the fiery red of her hair. Lastly, she focused her sight on the desire in Willow’s eyes.

Moving down the bed, Tara began at Willow’s feet and slowly ran her fingertips over her skin. She moved up her ankles, to her legs, thighs, stomach, neck…and everything in between.

It was as though she was trying to map out the whole of Willow’s body, and memorise it. Sensing this, Willow looked into Tara’s eyes and said simply,

“I am, you know. Yours. I’ll still be here tomorrow, and the day after that, and ALL the days after that. I love you Tara.”

Her blue eyes filled with unshed tears, and Tara leaned forward to nuzzle on Willow’s chest.

“I’d be nothing without you,” she whispered.

In reply, Willow lifted her chin and looked into sapphire orbs.

“No Tara, you’re everything.”

Smiling, Tara moved up Willow’s body again, and kissed her soundly on the lips. As she kissed her this time, her hands ran down her neck and shoulders to her breasts.

Willow moaned softly as she felt Tara’s smooth hands begin to caress her, the blonde’s thumbs moving towards the stiff peaks of her nipples.

Smiling, Tara ended the kiss and moved her lips down to join her hands. Taking one firm breast, she kissed the flesh around Willow’s nipple before reaching her tongue out to lightly stroke the sensitive bud.

Hearing Willow’s sharp intake of breath, Tara continued to lavish the redhead’s nipple with attention.

Having sufficiently teased both of Willow’s breasts, Tara was aware that there was one part of Willow’s body that she hadn’t paid any attention to yet. Looking up and catching Willow’s eye, she could tell that her lover was also very aware of this fact. The redhead’s breathing had become shallow, and her eyes half-closed, enjoying the pleasure that Tara was giving her.

The blonde again flashed her infamous lopsided grin, before moving away from Willow’s chest and lowering herself to lather her toned stomach with kisses and licks that she knew Willow loved.

Hearing a whimper coming from above, Tara looked up and found her eyes locked in an emerald gaze.

“Please, Tara,” Willow murmured, urging her to continue. Tara began kissing her stomach again, enjoying the creamy texture and taste of her lover’s skin.

Then, without warning, her hand quickly moved up to cup Willow’s mound, which was already wet with arousal.

Willow bucked her hips, instinctively pushing herself into Tara’s hand, begging for more contact.

Instead of said contact coming from Tara’s hand, though, Willow was surprised to feel Tara’s mouth reach her hot centre, leaving a firm kiss by her swollen clit.

The redhead heard the words

“You’re my everything. I love you”

And then all sound shut out as her senses were overflowed with the feeling of Tara’s tongue sweeping through her wetness, gathering all of her sweet arousal.

Tara could hear in Willow’s moans and whimpers that it would not take long for her to reach the edge this time, and focused all of her attention on conveying all of her love into this one action.

Her tongue moved in quick strokes until it reached Willow’s clit, and then she was teasing it, experimentally licking, sucking and flicking the centre, until all she could hear was Willow’s panting breaths.

Her hand still cupping Willow’s mound, she slowly turned it so that two fingers rested on the opening of Willow’s centre, and then plunged inside.

Slowly, she began to thrust her fingers into the warmth, and Willow began to meet each thrust with her hips.

Willow was thrashing her head from side to side; the simultaneous feeling of her clit being flicked and sucked, combined with the steadily increasing speed of the thrusts inside of her, threatening to tip her over the edge.

Between moans, she managed to say

“I love you, Tar,” in a deep and throaty voice.

Tara returned her affections by taking her clit completely into her mouth and sucking it.

Willow felt her orgasm get closer and closer until…she was there, and she felt the explosion throughout the whole of her body, from her toes to the tips of her fingers. She arched her back with a loud moan, and thrust her hips forward. Tara continued to tongue her centre until the aftershocks of her orgasm had died down, and then finally all energy left Willow, and she slumped back onto the bed.

A short while later, Tara woke with her arms circling Willow’s waist; her lover sleeping soundly. Puzzled as to what had woken her up, she listened intently for any noise.

Suddenly, the silence of the room was broken with a cry of

“Oh Faith, yeah, just like that!”

Willow immediately woke up and sat up straight in bed, her face a picture of horror.

“I did not just hear that!” she exclaimed, hoping that it had been some twisted dream.

The sound of muffled moans once again came through the wall, and Tara giggled softly. Willow laid back down and turned over to face her lover.

“Now I know how much noise she had to put up with from us, I have a newfound respect for Faith. But can I just say…ewwww!”
